I’ve been eating from chop chop for years! Always quick & delicious food with excellent customer service. There’s a reason this place is still in business. It’s CHOPCHOP!

We have friends who swear by this place. I would rate their food as greasy. There are a couple places in Stockton I would drive to or another place around the corner I would choose if given the choice. The food is definitely take out not restaurant. There is often a line out the door so there are loads of people who do love them. So don’t just take my word for it. The do a pretty good volume so the food looks pretty fresh. On a positive note we have eaten their food several times and I have never gotten sick.

I don’t get it… I read all these wonderful reviews of how great the food is and I guess if you like Jack in the Box tacos(deep fried with extra grease) you’ll love Chop Chop. There was a pool of grease in the to-go box from the food… the vegetarian egg rolls were mostly celery — definitely a hole in the wall joint… just not for me…

Chop Chop is amazing! Their hours are a little weird. They are only open around dinner hours. But the staff is very friendly, and their food is soooo good! They have rich sauces and large portions. You won’t be disappointed! Just a heads up though, they do not take cards, so bring cash! And there’s nowhere to eat inside, everything is to-go.

The best Garlic Chicken around. Very yummy and always friendly! I’ve been coming here with my family since I was a baby and I come now and bring my own babies. They have great portions and always fresh or cooked to order. Only drawback is Cash Only, however the food and friendly service makes up for that. I’ve tried many of their menu items and have never had a complaint about 1 of them. I now live in Galt but will make the drive each and every time because I’ve tried to find Chinese food closer to me but nothing is close to comparison. Yummy and I can’t wait to get this home to dig in!

This is the best Chinese food in Lodi. We’ve been coming here for years. The chicken or pork chow mein are great. Try the chicken egg foo young.

Price was low, but quality was not good. Sweet and sour pork was low quality, lo-mein was just average. You get a lot for the price, that’s why I give 3 stars. Staff was friendly. I won’t be back.

Gross. Weird rice has lots of green onion, broc beef was runny and Orange chicken sauce was funky. Awesome owner and super sweet but food is icky

Service was very fast at this takeout-only place, probably because they don’t have to worry about serving anyone who wants to dine in. The woman behind the counter was also a sweetheart and repeated our order back to make sure there were no mistakes. There’s a good variety of choices here, and I was very pleased with all the meat dishes we ordered(Mongolian Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Szechuan Chicken), although the chow mien was different than what I’m used to(very thick noodles!) and the vegetable egg rolls were underwhelming. Overall will definitely be back to get more of the same and to try the Garlic Chicken, but will skip the egg rolls.

No, no, no. I’m not from around here so there was no nostalgia or hype or any of that, just a walk-in, unbiased experience. First of all, the 45-minute walk-in order experience is stupid, but I could have gotten over it if the food was great. It wasn’t. He ordered the garlic chicken(mind you there are no descriptions anywhere). FYI for you noobs, garlic chicken turns out to be their famous fried chicken and it was good, but we came for Chinese food, not KFC. Chow mein and fried rice were good. Crab rangoons were decent. Almond chicken was straight up disgusting. The texture of it was a mix of rubber and uncooked. The flavor was not good. Sweet and sour chicken was the darrrrrrrrk dark meat. Suffered through a few pieces of that before giving up. The garlic spareribs were fried lumps of pork with bones in them, so for the love of god don’t bite into them. Even if they bothered to offer duck sauce it couldn’t have saved them. Overall, sorry lady. Your staff was rude and annoyed that I didn’t understand your menu, which resulted in a fast order of things we didn’t like. And it’s a good thing the food is cheap cause we thew it all away. Good for everybody else who loves this place, but I come from the east coast, land of the wicked awful Chinese food, and I think this was the worst I’ve had(with a pardon for the fried chicken which was good if it’s what we had actually wanted to order).

Stumbled across this gem by accident. New in town and it smelled great from outside. It was a very fast paced place with the owner as the order taker. She seems to remember everyone. I paid $ 4.80 and got what felt like 4 pounds of food… almond Chicken, Fried rice and fried prawns. There are Windows to kitchen so you can see all the delicious food being cooked from sCratch. The awards for winning best Asian food in town for over a decade straight should say it all. I’M HOOKED

Rating des Ortes: 5 Manteca, CA
You have to come in here expecting greasy, bad for you, indulgent Chinese food. They don’t claim to be healthy, but neither do any restaurants you fantasize about when you’re starving. The food is excellent when you want to hate yourself afterwards, but you know you’ll be back for more. Plus, they’ve been around for 42 years and put 99% of businesses a fraction of their age to shame in terms of customer service. It’s superb. You feel like you’re Norm walking into Cheers. Can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s businesses like these that brought us here to Lodi from Manteca. Oh and they give you a ton of food for very reasonable prices. 30 bucks for a feast plus leftovers for two days.
