I used to have a RMCF where I lived, but it closed. I missed their apples. We went and got apples, caramel corn, a box of assorted truffles. I got a salted caramel apple and it’s a little saltier than I was expecting, but overall not bad. I also tried a ancho chile truffle. It was tasty. The filling had a spicy kick, but it did not overpower the chocolate.

Their candied apples are the best! But today I wanted divinity. I saw that they had it so I thought I would give it a try. I was so disappointed it had no flavor but sugar and pecans. Now I know it is made of sugar and egg whites BUT it is supposed to have flavor. Even with the pecans it was bad. The best divinity so far is SEES divinity puffs.

I was trying to go to the post office across the street, but it’s closed and when I turned back I noticed this little small chocolate factory store across the street. I decided to give it a try and it’s one of the best chocolate stores I have ever been to.(Better than See’s Candies) Right when you enter the store, you can smell the sweet aroma of the chocolates. The workers greeted me right away and were friendly. There were a whole selection of chocolates to choose from such as truffles, assortment box chocolates and many more. Right when you enter the store you also realize all these different types of dipped apples which is cool. Even better is that they can cut the apple into pieces of you like. I got the rocky road apple and I’ll tell you, it was AMAZING. It was a juicy Granny Smith Apple cover with milk chocolate, peanuts, caramel, and marshmallows.

Such a great place to come and get a sweet treat in Lodi! Their red velvet truffles are amazing. Of course they are known for their caramel apples. They have a variety of toppings for the apples, but the cheesecake caramel apple is by far my favorite!

Following an evening artist opening at School Street Gallery in Lodi, I came across Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory on my walk back to my car and couldn’t resist the allure of all the sweet treats filling the cases. I would have likes a plain caramel apple, but all they had were ones covered with other things, so instead I got a few pieces of one of my favorites, dark chocolate covered candied orange peel. After I got to my car and headed home I began eating a piece of the candy and thought the chocolate only ok and nothing exceptional, and the orange peel was tough and not nearly so good as I’ve gotten elsewhere. It’s hard to judge a business based on just one item, but for a place that made such a good first impression, clean and bright, loads of beautiful looking item from which to choose, pleasant staff, I was surprised that I found myself ultimately disappointed.

This place has delicious sweets for sure. The ones I’ve tried so far was the Apple Pie candied apple and the chocolate covered potatoe chips. Yummy sweets but expensive.

I’ve never been a huge fan of caramel apples, BUT I’m literally standing in my kitchen eating their plain chocolate caramel-covered apple and it’s delicious! So good I had to write them a review :) Staff has been super-friendly anytime I’ve gone in, the place smells heavenly and their chocolate creations are beautiful!

How do you walk by this store with the displays of candied apples and chocolates and keep walking? When you walk in to the smell of chocolate, you just want to try everything. The white chocolate covered strawberry is to die for. The strawberry was still juicy and tasted fresh. I like that they will cut the candied apples for you so you don’t lose a tooth biting into it. I think prices are still reasonable for the quality of dessert you are receiving. Staff were patient and accommodating. This is a really good location in downtown Lodi!

I’m split on this review. I had a carmel apple that was definitely a 5! I also had a stale chocolate dipped oreo which made me sad… so I will give it a 3. If I go back, I’d definitely get the carmel apple though, those are delicious.

Boner alert! Boner alert! How the hell can one diet with a place this good?! Not to mention the adorable bear sitting outside! The owners(I assume that is who I was chatting with) were both sweethearts.

So much to choose from you don’t know what to get first. I got an almond cluster and it was good. I also picked up a candy apple for my aunti.

I absolutely adore this place! The staff is always amazing lodi’s finest teens and I’m not exaggerating! The fruit is always fresh and the chocolate is always amazing. It has become a habit to stop in anytime I’m downtown and they are open but warning it can be pretty packed and they close pretty early! This is the best place to go to satisfy your sweet tooth and to see a nice smile! Keep up the good work guys!

I love the tiger butter apples. I think the apples are a good price, but I wish everything else wasn’t so expensive. I racked up $ 30 with just a small box of candies :(

I have been waiting to try this place for so long BUT I didn’t realize that I have already tried it! LOL It is located in great mall in milpitas. Anywhoo. their apples are TODIEFOR! I literally cannot find any other apples that are better than this, my all time fav is the cheesecake dipped apple! The peanut and pecan are ok compared to cheesecake. if anyone else knows better than that then please do tell. The truffles were not good! Don’t get me wrong, they were fresh & Love the texture but the flavors were crap, the champagne is just gross as well as cappuccino! The black cherry was the better of them all and the coco ca-whatever it was was just ok. I guess I will try others but if others know of better flavors then please, AGAIN, do tell. I bought my fiancée a bag of choc’s on display for $ 8.50 or 95 I forget the price(alzheimers) and they were pretty good! The choc dipped strawberries are pricey but good! the strawberries were sweet unlike the ones at shari’s berries BUT then again sharis berries chocolate was even chocolatier(if that’s even a word). If compared to See’s candy then See’s is better IMHO. See’s truffles are the bomb-digity and much closer driving distance for me. I would just come here for all their apples… LITERALLY, ALL their apples! =D

Seriously delicious, good quality, amazing chocolate. When I walked in, I was given a sample of Aspen Crème and it was INCREDIBLE. Honestly, you need to go just to try this chocolate. They have a very large selection of sweets and it definitely is a must-try!

I like this place better than See’s! They have the BEST dark chocolate. Death by chocolate… what more can I say? They used to have a store by Podestos… now only in Lodi on School St… right across the street from the Post Office. But I’m sure that if you are into chocolate, you already know about this place. They make most of their products on-site. My favorites are… oh never mind, there is not enough space to list ‘em all! ;) The dark chocolate covered marshmallows are the bomb… like tic, tic, tic!!! Also make them with caramel in between the marshmallows. Don’t these look yummy? All kinds of dipped apples… Death by chocolate… what a way to go! When I die, dip me in dark chocolate :) You know you want some… get there!

Before Lunch, I needed some appetizers… Individual Truffles(*** $ 2.50×3) Truffles, about an inch and a half wide, today were NOT fresh. Seemed that going by the texture and color that each Truffle was more than a couple of days old. Flavor, despite that though, was very good. Conversed with the owner, who was the counter-person this morning, about the Economy. Surprised that this year, including the past two years, will be her most profitable year. This surprised me… I would think that Chocolates are an impulse and discretionary purchase… definitely not a necessity. Also found out that a Pound of Chocolates will set you back $ 19.75… OUCH!!! Last time I bought Chocolates here was about four years ago when the price for a pound was just a little over $ 18.
