First time in since they’ve become Take 27. Not a fan of the new menu, but my salmon was good. Tiny portion for the price. The zucchini was alternately raw and overcooked. My companion got a chicken sandwich on foccacia. LOT of bread, scrawny chicken. As is usually the case, you have plenty of seating to choose from, which I’ve always appreciated. Keeps the volume down. A mystery, because I’ve always liked the previous menus, and the location is perfect. I will keep an open mind and will try them again. Perhaps the kitchen was having a bad night. The only reason this trip received a 2 was purely for the quick service and friendly waitress.

Not a Lodi local but decided to dine here to try something new. Not a fan of the décor. It’s nice memorabilia but I found it cheesy and not the ideal ambiance and instantly felt like going elsewhere, and probably wpuld have because it seemed slow and no one was quick(or busy tending tables or in the kitchen) to greet us. But the food was surprisingly good. Difficult to eat with your eyes because it’s so dark, but everything tasted pretty superb. Good value. Was a bit chilly in there. We were there around 7:45pm on a Friday night. Lot of empty tables, wondering if the décor is not for most. It wasn’t working for me but credit to them for creating this identity. But definitely overwhelming.

My wife and I went to Take 27 for the first time last night after the movies in Lodi. This was a very pleasant surprise! Food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Was waited on by Leslie and she was an excellent waitress who was very attentive. Food was really delicious. Salad was very tasty. Asparagus appetizer was just a tad overdone but had a great flavor. My wife had the Sicilian pasta which was excellent and I had the ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly. The vegetables were awesome(primarily zucchini) We finished off the meal with a lemon drop cheesecake which was absolutely fabulous. Main dish was just a tad bit slow coming out, but when you have so many cool things to look at(the movie memorabilia) who really cares. I love the detail that has been taken with this place and the décor. We’ll definitely be back. The batman and spiderman suits were worth it right there and the you throw in Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean and John Wayne. I was in heaven wit my eyes. Very cool place. Also, bathrooms were very also clean, which for me is a great indicator of a restaurant. They even have a semi-private area for 8 – 10 called the Temple of Doom with an Indian Jones theme.

Why this place in not filled with customers is a mystery. Been here around six times past two years and have walked away glad we came. Especially love the alamo chicken bowl and burgers. Good prices to boot.

Went here on a Saturday night. In addition to being open at 9:30, the place had nice ambiance(dinosaur heads, old movie posters), friendly service, and tasty food. The avocado bruschetta was especially nice, my house salad was great, and the chicken parm was pretty good too although I had trouble finishing it. Plus it had a nice townie vibe. All in all, five stars.

Let me just start off by saying that they have the best calamari ever! If your a huge fan of calamari appetizers you gotta come here. They’re like thick chunks of non overly breaded squid. Like little bites of chewy goodness. Ohhhhh lord I want some right nowww!!! Anyways for the main course I ordered the buffalo blue burger. I would’ve liked to taste more of the blue cheese in the burger, I think as good as it was there might have been too huge of a pile of slaw on the burger which was a little over powered by the buffalo sauce. But overall it was a good burger. Onion rings were good! But I think one of the greatest things here aside from the calamari was definitely heading to the back and seeing the movie themed decorations. The walls are just covered in awesomeness. It doesn’t stop there, the girls bathroom interior was so cute, there was like a pin up girl feel to it, and there was cute little white chairs as well. I’d like to visit this place again and try more things on the menu. I feel like this place should get a lot more hype. It’s fantastic!

I am not a fan of this restaurant. I don’t care for the food. Also it’s over priced. The only good thing about the restaurant is you never have to wait for a table. Unfortunately that does not translate to quick service.

Good app, got the garlic peppercorn steak and the wife got the French dip. The mash that came with mine tasted like instant mash and my wife’s sweet potato fries tasted like frozen from a bag fries. I asked for a med well steak and it came really well done. For a first time here not impressed. Have two stars because the Philly cheese steak egg roll was good.

I took my 4 year old son to see the movie props and to have a random dinner night out. The restaurant was very empty, I believe there were only three people seated at the bar & the rest was empty. The server said we could be seated wherever we choose, which was perfectly fine with me. There were a few tables that needed to be cleared off, which was weird considering that the restaurant was almost completely dead. Anywho, we ordered our drinks, I got a water and my son ordered an orange juice. When my son went to take a sip of his juice he made a horrible face, I removed the kid and smelled the juice and it smelled rotten. I was very disappointed. Our food arrived on a timely manner, I ordered a house salad and my son ordered the hamburger sliders. Our food was good. I wasn’t too please with the service at all. I don’t see myself heading back anytime soon. I give the restaurant 3 stars strictly for the food.

I was a bit apprehensive when we first walked in. Only one table at the bar had patrons and the rest of the restaurant was empty(Saturday 7:30PM). It felt like an episode of Bar Rescue. However… Service was exceptional. Jules was our waitress and she was friendly and seemed to be fairly familiar with the menu. Never had to ask for a refill as they took care of it. Food was really good! Not OMG I gotta have more, but the portions were appropriate for the price and it was delicious. My wife ordered the prime rib end cut and it came with their double mashed potatoes. The meat was tender and cooked perfect. The mash was delicious. I ordered the bacon bleu cheese sirloin. Portion was a bit small and it tasted okay. I learned that bacon on a sirloin is a huge conflict because you don’t know which one is the dominant food. Better to have it separate. Overall, had a really good experience. I would recommend this for anyone to try out and come to your own conclusions.

This place could potentially have a higher rating. I will be coming back in the future to give it a second try. As a new resident to Lodi, we were surprised to find anything open on a Sunday that wasn’t fast food. After glancing at the menu we tried take 27. The interior is dark and has stained carpets but otherwise appears clean. No vermin, no lipstick on the glasses. Couldn’t do a white glove inspection in the kitchen but I’m guessing it’s clean because I haven’t had the squirts. I’m not a huge fan of the movie theme but I can understand it’s appeal. There were few customers, but given that the town hibernates on Sunday I wasn’t put off and appreciated the quiet that is impossible to find in so cal restaurants. The waitress was friendly and helped us select wines, which was a big help considering that only a few of the listed wines were available(apparently they are changing their menu). She was very attentive to us and the other customers, which makes me question the validity of the claims of rude service(are you expecting people to feed you?). She also gave us pointers for knowing which areas of Stockton to avoid, which wineries to visit, and things to do in the area(again, very helpful to the newbies in town). If the service were truly bad, I would’ve walked out. Food wise, I wasn’t floored, but the food wasn’t as bad as other reviews would have you think. We started with the asparagus appetizer, which was pretty good. I ordered the salmon and the husband ordered the chicken Parmesan. These were ok. They weren’t microwaved as some reviews state, but I make these at home and was hoping to learn a thing or two. Their salads were fresh and not freezer burned. The salmon was cooked to perfection(but I like my recipe better). The chicken Parmesan dish was full of pasta and the chicken itself was well grilled-not terrible but not fabulous either. Again, if the food were terrible I’d walk out. Another complaint I saw was in the pricing. I’ve spent way more for worse food/tiny portions. Overall I’d say that the pricing was good, and the people who complained were probably hoping for a free meal. Speaking of free meals, we received a card in honor of their one year anniversary that will provide a discount that will range from 20−100% off the next meal in April. Don’t be put off by the bad reviews. Give it a taste or two.

I had my first experience there last night before a movie. Wanted to get drinks, the service was great and very reasonable prices. The bartender was super sweet and fun to chat with. Will definitely be back. Not to mention the super fun décor!

I’ve been here 4 times since this location turned into Take 27 and have never been disappointed. The food is always great, especially liked the perfectly cooked sirloin and chicken cordon bleu. The service is always friendly. The bar has a great selection if drinks and all the movie props make for a fun atmosphere. We even hosted my work Christmas party here and it went off without a hitch.

This place was wonderful! I LOVED the extensive memorabilia located throughout the restaurant, offering lots of conversation and things to look at. The food was wonderful; we enjoyed artichoke fritters and lettuce wraps, chicken tenders and a nice burger. We had a wonderful waiter who cared for us, even when our daughter had a rough time(making us «those parents») and he always made sure our thirsts were quenched and we were satisfied. I was just passing through, but I will come back anytime i am in Lodi!
