Let me begin by saying that I really like the breakfast items that I’ve had to date, which brings me to the trio of employee’s from which I unfortunately have to deal with at the drive through window. Three women that I believe are related and who might be sisters which tells me that incompetence along with an «I know I completely missed on your order but we really could care less or In fact we have decided to whisper among each other while making a face of disgust toward you patron as a counter to our total incompetence». I honestly believe that if these women are in fact family, their complete lack of any semblance of customer service has to be woven within their DNA. Maybe they would be more useful deep in the rear of the restaurant, so customers can’t see their scowls after they destroy your order!

Great service, reasonable prices. Ordered a shrimp Po’ Boy, got a huge, fresh bun with a ton of shrimp on. No sauce/butter/anything on the bread, but side sauces were offerred. For all I know the lack of mayo/etc is conventional on a Po’ Boy, so no complaint there. If I order another Po’ Boy, I’ll ask for sauce/mayo or something and I’m sure they’ll be super-helpful. The shrimp, however, had a sour taste. I was told the fry grease was getting changed after the restaurant closed that day. I suspect they should change the fry grease interval. For a side I ordered fried green tomatoes, which were pretty good. Also got a fatback biscuit, which was amazing. This would be a 4 if the fry grease had been changed out.

Love their fried green tomatoes. Hate the cole slaw. It’s got a vinegar based dressing that is so strong it made me cough. The only way I could salvage it was to add mayo to it. This was a to-go order. I was charged $ 2.46 for a TINY single serving container of slaw that was not edible without help. Their popcorn shrimp lunch basket is very good but the hushpuppies are ALWAYS over cooked. I give them to my dogs. This last time I went, the food took way too long to prepare. The staff was way too loud and spent a lot of time bantering among each other. I did not even get hushpuppies, which should have been included. The dogs were disappointed. I think the only time I’ll go back is if I’m really wanting some fried green tomatoes. I can get an appetizer order of those for a reasonable $ 4.95 and get my meal somewhere else.

Food tasted like it was pre-made frozen. Had French toast and it was absolutely disgusting. Bacon was cold like it had been sitting out.

Husband and I went there and we’re satisfied with what we had. I wish they had more wine and beer selection though. Waitress was sweet but overwhelmed a bit.

I was a little surprised to see that this place had such a low rating. We have been several times for breakfast and it has always been great! The biscuits and gravy are out of this world and I absolutely love the skillet fries. The place is usually packed and the food still gets out reasonably quick. We have never been for lunch, so I can’t review that, but the menu looks delicious. They have had a few big changes in the lunch menu since we started going there, so that might have something to do with it.

SO disappointed in this, my last visit to Claude’s. The place was empty, no other customers yet service was slow, waitress had zero personality, I got the wrong drink twice, the pork was hard and dry, the radio was loud religious music-fuzzy and fading in and out from not being on the station correctly, and it was super expensive. Claude’s gets two thumbs down.

This is taken from a review I did when it was Claude’s Off the Bayou I have eaten here mostly for breakfast, but have gone for dinner a couple of times. Their breakfast is top notch. One of my favorites is the big biscuits and with country fried steak and sausage gravy. I also like the new andouille sausage biscuit. Prices are good and there is a wide variety of food to choose from. The couple of times I have been for dinner I have been well satisfied. My wife likes to get the fried cod or fried fresh fish of the day. Everything that I have tried and my wife have tried have been very good. For dinner they bring in waiters to wait on the tables instead of the counter service for breakfast. Since this original review I have eaten here several more times and all of them been very satisfied. I am still a huge fan of their breakfast and believe that the prices for what you get are good.

Greasy is all I can say. Oh, let me add salty. Ate here Friday evening, 6÷13÷14. Though the staff was very friendly and service was great. I have to say, my food was terrible. I ordered a muffaleta which was more bread than meat. My husband ordered jambalaya which was dry, the meat in the jambalaya was also very dry. We ordered alligator bites and a shrimp kid’s meal. Both were very salty and very very greasy. As soon as they came out, I asked for additional napkins to put them on and soaked up the excess grease. The fried gator came out on a plate, just sitting in grease. I am guessing they were previously fried and then re-fried when ordered. Never again. Sorry, Oh, I saw online that they had beignets so I placed an order, I was told that it was just taken off the menu. My waitress returns a while later to tell me that they still had some left and she would bring me some. Clue: Beignets must have been frozen. They came out that same as the gator and shrimp, greasy, not fluffy. the were cut weird on the sides and just a mess. Fried greasy, crunch dough. So, yeah, I can’t.

I have been there three times for BREAKFAST and breakfast only. Overall good. The French toast is made with French bread and is very tasty. Price is average. Not my #1 pick for breakfast but good for a change up.

Horrible customer service! Bad management! I used to eat here a lot and I figured I would try it again. Its still the same poor service and never having the items you order. I ordered two of the fish sandwich combos via telephone order. I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived within 10 minutes and paid for my order. I waited another 20 minutes only to be told by the cashier that they didn’t have any fish ready and they didn’t have any of the breading in stock. I was told that a manager was on their way to «the store» to try and locate the ingredients they needed. I asked how long that was going to be and they couldn’t tell me. I asked the cashier why she took my original order when they didn’t have the ingredients to make it. She didn’t have an answer. They never offered to fix anything or correct their mistake. I asked for my money back and left. I can’t tell you the number of times I have come here only to wait 45 minutes for my order or to be told after waiting that they don’t have what I ordered. This goes back on management for not properly doing inventory and ownership for not making their management accountable. The service here is horrible. I am absolutely done giving this place my money.

The sign says«Fresh — just for you!» If that’s true, I must have gotten someone else’s lunch because I am pretty sure everything I got was frozen foodservice product. I had seen a food blogger or two whose opinion I respect review Claude’s, and it has been a couple years since I last ate there, so I knew it was time to try again. If my guess is correct about the pre-made nature of the food, the hush-puppies, battered fries, popcorn shrimp and crawfish tails were at least good quality versions of it. My «spicy» remoulade really wasn’t(the other option was tartar sauce), but the sandwich was delicious when I added a little Texas Pete. There’s not a lot of «punch» to the batter or breading, and I don’t think the meat was seasoned at all. Despite the trouble another Unilocaler had, they did deep-frying well: the oil is at the right temp to get the crispiness right and cooked through. But the prices reflect a fully fresh and prepared on-site menu — as is, I think they’re about 15−20% too high.(Lunch: Shrimp/fries/drink $ 7.25, PoBoy/rings/drink $ 8.50). Portions were about right for lunch. My verdict is keep the prices, but cook to order: chop and batter the food on-site. Besides, it’s usually cheaper to do it that way. Don’t go past breakfast. Crazy expensive after breakfast and the food is NASTY. Takes a long time to get your order and something’s ALWAYs wrong with your order. They’ve been in business a few years and breakfast is all they do right. Not a good dinner option unless you like spending too much $$ for s — -y food and service.

Just medicore at best. We had way over cooked onion rings for starters. I had the country fried steak, fries & corn. I ordered the fries Cajun but they came plain, corn came after the meal was almost done and it was very cold still. Husband had the oysters, fried lightly. They were very bland. Tried to have beignets for dessert, they didn’t have any or any of the bread pudding. We won’t be returning. Dinner for 2 w starter and sodas $ 30.00, too expensive for the quality.
