Not as bad as some people are making it out to be on here. Food was fast and good. I enjoyed it a lot. Not the best mexican food but certainly not bad at all.

Service was HORRIBLE!!! It took 20 minutes just to order our drinks, we had to ask for silverware settings/napkins and we had to flag someone down in order to place our order. Food took a long time to come out and we were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. We had to flag someone down again. Chicken was dry w/no flavor in my enchilada! I know there are some places that are worth the wait but this definitely wasn’t one of them!

Honestly this was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. The chicken tortilla soup was really horrible, no flavor and tasted like a Campbell’s soup with Costco brand shredded canned chicken, so bland! There were minimal dressing choices and not even a Mexican style one(i.e. Cilantro). The service was terrible with the waitress acting like she was doing us a favor by taking our order. The prices are outrageous(over 11 dollars for a chimichanga). We ended up throwing away most of the food because we just couldn’t stomach it any more. Save your self the money and skip this place. Next time I’m going to Mr. Kabab.

Food quality is below average and overpriced. Please save your money and disappointment and eat somewhere else. We will never eat there again.

Cuca’s what the hell happened to you? I barely know you anymore. I remember when all the Redlands locals raved about your bean, rice and cheese burritos. For a guy from Michigan they were a godsend(no lettuce inside, for example). What I ate two-days ago was a pale shadow of your former glory. The moral is don’t expand if your outlying branches soil your reputation. Where to begin? Oh yes, we were greeted upon entry immediately(a good start) and led to a decent table. I was surprised how big it was inside. Only two other tables were occupied around 5pm. Our server was friendly and efficient, so I am not complaining about that. The warm greasy chips paired well with the mild-medium salsa. But looking at the menu I was shocked at the prices! $ 11.98 for a wet burrito? What is this? A resort? C’mon! At best it should run about $ 9 tops when compared to more formidable competition such as Jose’s and others. I decided to do it with shredded beef. My dad ordered a two-item combo with enchaladas. I guess he thought it was good but I was immediately disappointed with the burrito. Sure, externally it was big, but mostly beans, very little rice, and it took about six bites to hit any meat. Everything about it was substandard and I don’t throw that term out lightly. Bland tasting and lacking in meat I’d say that food, as many other reviews state, is not the same or consistent here. 2-stars in reality. Only raised to three by the competent service. I barely go to the original takeout place because there are more interesting and cheaper options everywhere. I’m sorry to say I cannot recommend this location, nor will I be willing to give them a second chance.

If you dont want to wait to be seated this is the place. There’s 7 people working with 5 customers and you still have to wait to see the server to give them eye contact that you need something. The beer was cold but I ordered a shrimp cocktail and it was warm. Had one bite and that was it. The chips and salsa were really good. I’ve only been here in the morning for menudo that’s really good. Only rating this for today’s outcome.

Food so delicious and adorable price. Service at this particular one kinda sucked that’s why I gave it a 3 star. We nearly waited 10 min till the lady upfront showed up for us to pay. Our server was clueless and gave me beef taquitos instead of chicken. It does sort of suck when you’re hungry and you don’t eat red meats. Never got an apology or nothing just a simple OHH. but the food is pretty tasty. just won’t be going to this one. I’ll go to the Redlands one instead.

#Vegetarian Perspective: worst burrito I ever had in US. Vegetable Soup was not great either. I did not get the feel of sitting in a restaurant.

We love Cucas. We really do. However, tonight was a real miss. Not because of the food but because of the employees. We walked in at 7:45, well before the 9pm closing time. When I said we were a party of 13 the«hostess» and another gentleman with a hat on seemed annoyed. They said they had just seated another party of 13. I said that’s great but that’s not us. As she pulled out menus she said that she strongly recommended a reservation next time because although they may not be busy at this time, they are usually packed.(Aside from the other party of 13, there were 2 other tables of 2. we were here last week because my father in law wanted to come here and it was also empty). It may have been ok if she was nice about it but she seemed really annoyed.(She spent the rest of the night on her phone after slapping down our menus on the table and walking away). Our waiter was the only person who seemed to understand that paying customers and a full restaurant was a good thing. He was attending to the other large party so took our order really late(totally apologized) so food came out late. We didn’t start eating till 8:30. The man with the hat returned and packed our left over soup in a to go tray(not soup to go cup) and mopped around us then started clapping. We got the hint. We left and probably won’t return. We love Cucas– but next time will stick to picking it up or go to another location.

I must say that after reading some of the reviews on this Cuca’s location I had to check to make sure I was actually REVIEWING the right location! I usually would visit the Cuca’s located in downtown Redlands with the walk up window. I always loved their chicken taquitos and burritos. The wife and I decided to try the«sit down» Cuca’s located on California Street and we had positive experience. She ordered tortilla soup, salad, and something else(can’t remember) and I ordered an enchilada-style carnitas burrito which melted in my mouth. The food on our first visit was excellent. The second time was excellent and the third time was excellent as well! Perhaps I’m just being naïve? Anyway, the service seemed fine. Did other people bring out our food or offer to fill our drinks other than the server? Sure. But that’s not especially ground-breaking news. Many other restaurants do the same. For the price and quality of food we were served, this Cuca’s location will be visited regularly. Cheers!

I’m really sorry but based on the quality of the food there is no way I would ever recommend this to my friends. Though I do hear there are other Cuca’s that are really good, this food here is by far the worst Mexican food I have had. I ordered chicken fajitas to go here and the service was actually not bad at all but the service cannot ever replace the quality of the food. The chicken fajitas I ordered was very disappointing as the food was very tasteless especially the beans, which is not that hard to mess up. The meat did look like it came out of a microwave and the rice was in my opinion very sub par. I really hope this will be the only time I will ever say this but after the experience here, I would rather eat at Taco Bell rather than ever come here again.

We sat for way to long before anyone took our order — I ordered fajitas it looked like they took all left overs and piled on plate cold and tasteless — usually it’s on a grill type plate sizzling no beans or rice we had to ask for it 2 times — rude server terrible bland food — this is the last time I will give this restaurant a chance ! We love the Mentone one and had hopes for this one !!! Don’t waste your money !

Every time we go to this Cuca’s, we are sorry. Whether it’s the service(usually bad), the food(occasionally bad), or the bigotry against me and my girlfriend(just tonight, but remarkably bad), it is always something. We adore the Cuca’s on the other side of town, and in fact are headed there now. Avoid this place and head toward the Lugonia Cuca’s for a full bar, kick ass bartenders, great food and an actual good time. A side note, we sat next to a biracial couple here recently and their service was horrible. We sat down after them and they still hadn’t been served by the time we were done. We won’t be going here again.

I’ve been to this restaurant several times. The service was terrible on more than one occasion. The wait staff stand around talking and socializing. It took them 20 minutes to even take our order and then over 30 minutes more to get our food out. They really give the impression they don’t give a rip about the customer. The food really is not worth waiting for. Most everything is tasteless. I’m not going back there again.

I don’t know if the food is good. Walked in and the hostess asked us to wait. We stood there while 2 people were finishing their work. The message I received was this: what I’m doing is much more important than seating a paying customer. Ok… message received loud and clear… walked out without eating…

Disappointed big time. Greasy Quesidilla $ 6.50 Bean rice and cheese burrito $ 5.50. $ 13 for the 2. The burrito was small like I ordered from the kids menu. Booooo on this place.

Totally dissapointed! The food was low quality and flavorless. My friend and I both ordered fajitas and how can you mess that up? Well they did. It was no kidding a pound of sauted bell peppers and about 3 ounces of microwaved nasty meat! Even the tortillas were gross out the microwave… So we said they can’t possibly mess up desert… Churros and ice cream… Wrong! Those were out of the microwave too. This place is a total disgrace, Taco Bell is better!!!

Beware! This place has tipped themselves. We ordered two bean burritos to go on Saturday 7÷18÷15 without a tip because it was to go. Our bill was $ 13 and the verified total to hit my credit card was $ 20 and change. I’m no math wizard but that’s stealing. Write on or through your tip portion or better yet avoid this Cuca’s.

Definitely not worth coming back. The chicken burrito was dry and our waiter(maria) only got our order and checked on us once and didn’t. Only the gentleman that brought our drinks. And when one of us asked for a napkin it took her 10 minutes and she was texting and never brought the green sauce. The gentleman was the one that brought the green sauce within a minute of telling him. And when we told them they need to work on their service because they have a low rating(maria)our waiter rolled her eyes.

Dine in service is slow and hit and miss. Same goes for take out. Some girls really take care of me giving me everything I need for my to go orders without asking while others don’t give me napkins, fork, fish sauce for my fish tacos– really annoying. But with all that said and done I still love their fish tacos and that’s all I come here for.
