terrible food, suffering with heart burn, nausea sensation. mediocre, poor quality indian food. regret trying this place. only very few indian restaurants are safe to eat

I’ve been disappointed on my last 2 visits to the Masala lunch buffet. The naan has been undercooked and gooey both times. The second to last time I was here, the yellow daal was watery and thinned out. It normally has a thicker sauce. On my most recent visit, the rice pudding(I forget what it’s called) had a very sour taste to it. It tasted to me like the milk or cream in it was spoiled. There was very little of it left in the buffet bin, so I think they were trying to get rid of their«old stock.» I realize a buffet likely has a lot of food waste. It’s unfortunate, but the solution to that is not watering down food to make the batch bigger or serving food that is beyond its expiration date. I’ve been a regular here for about 3 years now, and I’m so disappointed in what I’ve experienced on my last two visits in a row. Every place has off days. But I have had the undercooked naan issue on several other visits, and I’ve seen(and eaten) the thinned out dishes more than once. The bottom-of-the-barrel, spoiled-tasting rice pudding is a first, but has left a very sour taste in my mouth(pun not intended, but relevant). I’m really not sure if I will go back again, and that makes me very sad. Wait staff has always been friendly, so 5 stars for them.

I’m straddling between a 3 and a 4 stars. Variety of items at the buffet: 5 stars. There was plenty to choose from I’m always glad to see South Indian meat dishes at the buffet. I didn’t even bother to try the usual tandoori chicken or naan because they had quite a large selection of items that you normally don’t see. The chicken vepudu(or varuval or dry masala) was great. The goat curry was very tender. All their chutneys were great but the idly was not the best. the Spinach dal, mushroom chili, the potato fry were all pretty decent. The biryani was not bad either. They even had paya(a goat leg soup which is a delicacy in some parts of southern india). I didn’t care for the Apollo fish. Desserts and boondi was great. Overall, I’m not sure if I should praise or complain but most of the dishes were under salted. Usually I don’t care for salt but it was certainly less even for me. Some items were just the right spice some were less spicy. Despite the selection, I wasn’t too awed by the flavors. Service was friendly and it’s nice to see plenty of other south Indians dining here(always a good sign).

Food was really good. Wait staff not so good though. She forgot items that were included with what we ordered. Took 10 minutes to order drinks and we had just ordered soft drinks only. I only saw two severs. Additional experienced wait staff would give this restaurant 4.5 stars.

Food is pretty good. Staff is very nice. They really don’t have EXTRA spicy. Their hottest was pretty mild too me. If they could bring the spice level up, I’d give it a 5 star.

Very good selection of foods and traditional dishes. Great tastes and just the right level of spice. Good Indian beers available also. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for good Indian food. The place in general is clean, modern and inviting. The staff are very good, offering great suggestions.

pretty wide variety of dishes to choose from. My favorites were the chicken vindaloo and the tandoori chicken(typical, i know). The mango Kulfi was freaking amazing. Got it at least three times. Every time I go to an Indian buffet I really wish I had a bigger stomach haha. One down side was the service. Took a while to get more water and the naan than I would have liked especially since tip is automatically added to the check. Overall, I’d go again but places like viceroy of india might have an upper hand when it comes to service.

Come here often for a pickup in the evenings. Their Tikka Masala is good and so is the naan. Service might get a little slow sometimes so plan ahead and order. For dine-in they are good as well. Service moderately fair. Fairly priced. A fair Indian place in the vicinity.

My boyfriend and I are die hard Indian food fans. We absolutely love the various spices one can find in a good Indian dish plus being a vegetarian there are so many staples that accommodate my dietary needs. I ordered take out from Masala this past Friday and the prices were pretty pricey in comparison to some other Indian restaurants and the portion sizes are smaller. We ordered the lamb korma, vegetable korma, and garlic naan. My boyfriend loved the lamb korma but I was just not impressed with my expensive bland vegetable korma. Also, the garlic naan did not have any garlic on it and the bread was so soggy that I was grossed out. I would not venture back here on my own but would be willing to give it another chance if pressured to do so.

There is literally nothing on the menu that hasn’t been good. Love this place. Great Indian food, with just the right amount of spice.

The curry chicken was very good, but I don’t know why they have to charge an arm and a leg for chicken! At first, I ordered two chicken entrees and 2 orders on naan and it came out close to $ 50!!! I was like WTF did I just order, prime rib? I ended up getting one order to share and it dropped down to $ 21. I still has to go home and make more rice since I was sharing. I think I’ll make my own curry and naan. I can’t imagine how much it would cost to dine in. I notice a lot if Indian restaurants charge very high prices. For the high prices they charge, the place is in need of a serious update. The place from head to toe is seriously out-dated. It’s looks as though are trying to go for a fine-dining look, but it just isn’t. If not, lower the prices. I would not want to dine-in in this drab environment.

Six of us dined here on a Saturday night. It’s nondescript strip mall location and aged furnishings did not instill confidence. So, why 5 stars? Cuisine, cuisine, cuisine. And, flawless service. I reluctantly partake of food from India because of food allergies; specifically, legumes like chick peas, cashews, lentils, peanuts, and pistachios which are staples of this genre. Nevertheless, they went above and beyond to safely navigate me through the menu and to inform the cooks of my allergies. They recommended delicious appetizers and entrees for my wife and me. We can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic! We had two entrees and naan and everything was great! Food and staff! The missing star is for the price which seemed a little high.

If you want Indian food that tastes home made this is the place to go. I had the buffet 12 $ plus a 15% gratuity made the all you can eat cost around 16 $, But man was it with it. The salads visited of the typical lettuce and tomatoes, but the seasonings were unique and zesty. The highlights were the chicken tandoori, ocra salad, and vegetable noodles.

Even if this is The last place left to eat please don’t come. This place has reviews which do not paint an appropriate picture of Indian food. If I had a chance I would have given this place a zero! This is my third attempt at trying this place as there wasn’t a holiday and none were open. The food is as horrible as it was every other time. The rice is inedibly hard. Butter chicken was the only savior. Chole was average. Cucumber was stale.

For months, I was trying to find time in my schedule to meet a sweet friend of mine. When we finally picked a day for dinner, she suggested eating here because we both love Indian food and she knows the owners/people who work here. Fine by me, I’m always up for trying new Indian restaurants! I had a not-so-good experience at another fusion restaurant though, so I wasn’t sure how this place would compare. Thankfully, it was much better. Whew. We met right when the place opened for the evening, so the spacious restaurant was empty except for us and another group dining nearby. Masala is beautifully and simply decorated, with a touch of elegence. The menu is diverse(mainly Indian food with separate fusion) and reasonably-priced. Because I’m a vegetarian, it usually isn’t hard to find something to eat due to a limited selection but I was perusing the menu options for quite some time! Yay, options! Honestly, I forgot what I ate — a cauliflower appetizer(amazing!), something with mushrooms(YUM), garlic naan(amazing), rice(normal, delicious rice), and a couple other veggie entrees; however, they were all delicious. Nothing disappointed me. And when my friend insisted that I take all the leftovers for myself, well, inside I danced a little bit. Sweet people, beautiful place, good food, no complaints.

I was curious as to whether this was yet another large banquet hall or not. The parking lot was empty and when I walked up to the door, sure enough, the doors were open for lunch. There were a couple and a small family in the spacious dining area. Nevertheless, I had mango lassi, aloo papdi chaat, chicken tikka masala, chana masala, and bhatura. I requested to have the chicken tikka masala and chana masala very spicy. It came to the table spicy, just the way I wanted it. And I must admit that the dishes were outstanding. Because I ate off the menu, I can’t speak to the buffet. I imagine with it being Indian food, the buffet was worthy of a visit. Love the service and the final tab was less than I expected. I’ll be going back.
