Place shouldn’t even be call«Barber Shop.» Went in for a simple«Shape Up» as we call it back in NY but dude didn’t know what I was talking about. So I explain and ask if he can do it, a simple #2 Clippers and clean up. Said no. What ??? Save the time and trouble, don’t go in here or even think about it.

Price has gone up $ 2 since my last visit. He said it was $ 12 now. I have always been under the impression that it was $ 7 and always gave him $ 10. Hope I haven’t been stiffing him of any tip, all that time. Always quick, consistent, and very economical.

Wont ever go back, first off as soon as i walked in i got hit with a terrible smell of just dirty. Followed by hair all over the place and clutter everywhere. Then i was told i had to pick a haircut off the wall and he wouldn’t even look at the picture i had brought in. So i had to settle for some cookie cutter hair cut. then i asked for the back to be dropped a little lower than what was on the wall and he decided that it would be better to bring it up higher. Fuck this dirty unsanitary shop, next time i will wait for my barber who is closed on Mondays instead of coming to this shithole. –Fuck off, Andrew.

Don’t look for Top Barber, you won’t find it. I am not sure why this is listed under Top Barber; the sign says Ho Ho Ho Barber! I am very picky about who cuts my hair; I have spent my share of time looking for just the right person to cut my hair. I have tried expensive salons and hipster barber shops. I am a simple guy with simple likes. Other than the final look, I like to just walk in without having to have an appointment and say«same cut». I like a person who is friendly but not chatty. I like consistency, when I decide on a cut I usually stay with it for a while and I want to get the same cut each time. I just want to get a haircut. I am not gonna buy shampoo. I am not gonna get my hair colored. I don’t want a glass of wine while I wait. I don’t want any advice on how to take care of my hair. Just cut my hair, keep the talking to a minimum and don’t try to sell me crap. Ho Ho Ho Barber, he is the man. He is there 7 days a week from morning till night. Just walk in and he will take you. Today our conversation went like this: Him: Off today? Me: Nah, just took the morning off. Him: New car? Me: Nah, my wife’s Him: Same cut? Me: Yup. Then when he was finished, I paid him. He said«thanks». I said«See ya.» Done. Next time? Same cut. Lol.

I actually find the photos very helpful. No air-conditioned when I visit — so might not want to visit on a hot 90F+ afternoon. Other than that, i am very satisfied with the cut; I would definitely visit again.

I actually like the«pick a style» approach, as a picture is worth a thousand words, even more if you don’t speak the same language. Brought both of my boys in today(ages 3 and 5). They did an excellent job. I was very pleased! And the price was right. :)

I would drive by this barber all the time. Most of the time I would always think«I should go inside since my usual barber is 15 minutes away in Gardena». No one was inside other than the barber who is an older Asian man. He sat me down and I told him I wanted a fade and to cut a little off the top. There was some communication difficulty between him and I but it’s okay, he was able to do what I asked. He was very quick with cutting my hair and it came out very good! $ 10 + no wait = happy customer! I’m definitely coming back.

Great spot! Like most people I’am pretty picky about with whom and where I get my hair cut. I just recently ran into the dilema of having my usual barber relocate to about 15 miles out of my way. So I went looking around on Unilocal for barbers in my area, and the closest one happen to be Top Barber a.k.a. Ho Ho Ho. There were only 2 reviews for this establishment so I knew it would be a bit of a gamble, but given my dilema it was one that I was willing to take. I walked in with nothing to loose except my hair and I’m happy to report that I came out a happy and most certainly a repeat customer :) The Highlights: — Cheap Prices — Quick Service — Open 7 Days — Nice Location

CASHONLY. also known as Ho Ho Ho Barber – that’s the sign you’re looking for on Lomita. here’s the scenario: it’s labor day weekend; saturday and sunday were pretty busy, and now i’m sweating in my hot apartment with unruly hair tickling my ear canal. i am desperate. a phone call confirms ho ho ho is open. they get mad props for just that i drive over – parking is in a small alley/driveway next to the shop – not ideal, but manageable – and am greeted by a nice man and woman. english is the only language we have in common. he asks me what i want; i tell him a 4 and 7, blended, with a taper in back, and he gets to work. this man knows his way around a razor. he is quick with the base strokes and moves quickly to blending the top and side. his taper is truly a taper, and he cleans up some wayward fuzz after unbuttoning the collar. bizarrely, he prefers to cut with the customer facing away from the main barber mirror. he spins me around to inspect the result. I am mostly pleased, except for a bump of hair toward the back right of my skull. i ask him. he conveys to me that this was an attempt to account for my bedhead. nice. i ask him if he’s sure. he sprays me down, combs the hair, and decides he should probably take off some more. a few more buzzes and it’s gone. $ 10 + $ 2 tip. very satisfied. would definitely return.

An overall old-school barbershop feel. Not a «stylist» to be found anywhere here, but rather very pleasant guys who are real«barbers.» This place is also known as «Ho Ho Ho» Barber. This has less to do with Christmas than the likelihood that most, if not all, of the 2 – 3 barbers that work here are of Hmong descent. This may lead to some communication barriers. If you don’t just want a fade, their preference is for you to point at the chart and«pick a style.» I can’t stand that approach, so this place is kinda my last choice if I need a haircut. On the plus side, this place used to be one of the cheapest barbershops in Lomita and may still be. Cost is a factor if you have a short style that needs to be re-done every couple of weeks or so.
