Allied Fence

I’ve had occasion to work with this company twice now due to neighbor’s preference and I would never recommend them to anyone. Owner of company is rude and condescending. He made a big deal about the inconvenience of driving out to SB from Lompoc for the job and proceeded to ask ME to measure the length of the yard saying something about a back problem. We had to go back and forth with the office on quotes several times before getting it right.
Installers arrived late to start the job on the first day and did not know all the necessary details (height, style, location, etc.) that we had already discussed/​agreed upon with owner/​office. Overall communication and attention to detail between the owner/​home office and installers seems very lacking, but once installers understand the scope of the project they are polite and professional! Shout-​out to Santiago and Tony who were very accommodating during the most recent project!
Quality of work is good once the job is completed, but getting to that point was a nightmare as I felt I had to micro-​manage the whole time to ensure the job was being completed as expected and agreed by all neighbors. Once all was said and done and my invoice had been paid in full, the owner of the company tried to circle back around with an additional charge due to his mistake in measuring. I challenged him on this and he let me know he’d make the drive out from Lompoc to re-​measure. He either figured out that it was indeed his mistake or decided that it wasn’t worth while to haggle over an additional $ 50 because I never heard anything further.

Allied fenced our property with black chain link and vinyl gates. We are very happy with the results! They showed up when they said they would and completed the job on time. Will be using them again for electric gates in the future.

These guys recently installed a modern horizontal redwood fence for me in my front yard and I was very pleased with the outcome. Tom led the project and the work was excellent.
Owner Adam is also very good to deal with on the business side. They return phone calls, do the work on schedule and the quality of the work is excellent. What more can you ask for?

Allied Fence installed a fence at our rental property in Santa Barbara and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From initial contact with the office manager, I knew I found the right company to do the work. She was an absolute pleasure to talk to and direct in answering my questions and getting the process started. After thorough research, I knew the price was right for the quality work I’d be getting. The estimator was very knowledgeable and he had lots of great suggestions. The work was completed on time and the workmanship was excellent. I asked them to be extremely cautious of all my plants. As I know this can be a difficult request to uphold, they were very considerate and I didn’t have to replace a single plant! I would definitely recommend Allied Fence.

Had allied come and put up a new fence in our back yard. Tommy did a great job.

HORRIBLE COMPANY.
Unprofessional, messy prep work, poor communication with customers, no regard for customers property, cutting corners to get the job complete, unfinished job, owner is very argumentative and extremely rude. I will NOT recommend this company if you care about your property and/​or the hard work you have invested in it. Both neighbors aside from me were also unhappy with the poor quality work done by Allied Fence Company. I will report company to association and will also not recommend anyone who resides in this community to not use this company for ANY fence work.

After my initial review here, this business finally contacted me and addressed most of my fence problems. The one remaining fence problem is a horribly squeaky gate hinge which they may have installed incorrectly (i.e. it doesn’t appear to have been spaced properly thus this lower hinge binds/​squeaks each time the fence gate is opened… and it is not remedied with lubrication as I’ve tried WD40, lard grease, lithium grease and lead powder to no avail). I think I’m going to have to remove the gate and re-​install the lower hinge properly (if that is even possible).

Allied just completed our fence and did so in a timely fashion. The price was basically in the middle of other companies. We chose them because everyone we dealt with in and outside their office was sincere and responsive. The estimate came quickly and scheduled installation done promptly. Important note: The job site was kept clean and safe as they worked. And, take their advice on placement and style.
