Taco Loco

We have driven by a couple times this week. I also tried calling and the phone was disconnected. We feel devastated because this was our favorite place to eat. So sad!

Taco Loco is consistently good food at great prices. Everyone who works there is always so friendly. I personally love their chili rellenos, asada nachos cannot be beat, chili verde omelette best in world (get hash browns). Another fav is shredded chicken taco salad. Think I’ll have that tonight!

I came here thinking it was a better option than Burrito Loco. Wrong. I ordered a chicken burrito, hold the lard beans, add cheese. Paid. Went next door to check on my order at Bravo Pizza. Came back sat with my son. A couple came in ordered their meals. Their chips, drinks and meals came out. It’s been 10 minutes for my one burrito. We went to the bathroom. Came out, still no food. I told the lady I didn’t want to the burrito, got a refund, left. Not one word from her.
Is there some discrimination going on here? Why would people who ordered after me get their entire meal before me? Hmmmm

Taco Loco on Ocean is the best! LOVE the beef corn taquitos, chilaquiles (just beware they are very spicy), chiles rellenos, and green burritos locos! I also love their spicy salsa goes well with all the food! :)

Had an amazing burrito here. They make everything themselves. Super nice people. Try the breakfast burrito bean cheese potatoes guacamole. Nice town too.

Taco Loco #2 rose to the top 3 of our list for ‘best breakfast burrito’s’ in all of CA! In the summer of 2012 my partner and I went on a mission: to find the best breakfast burrito, the best vegan restaurant, and experience natural phenomena in CA. We succeeded with all these, thanks to Taco Loco #2.
Our criteria for selection:
1. the tortilla had to be home made or at least grilled warm so the flavors soaked in better,
2. the beans had to be stewing overnight or at least a long time; they had to be frijoles (pintos) and somewhat ‘stewey’,
3. it needed papas (potatoes) that were well cooked, but not too many of them, and well spiced
4. it needed huevos (eggs) that were scrambled just right, and not too much eggs in the burrito.
5. the salsa needed to be fresh, spicy, and tasty (either fresca, verde, or other was ok)

*The really stewey beans and papas options for hash browns made all the difference! I give them 3 stars, which is really a good mark for the restaurant. I rarely give 5’s. And 4 has to be pretty outstanding.

Usually good is good here. Front advertises lunch special for take out only. Supervisor is not there to confirm special, so I have to pay regular price. Come on! I just took a picture of your special! Bummer.

We went to the Taco Loco #2 on Central next to Verizon. I think out of the several Mexican restaurants in the area, this might be the best one. Its small, definitely not fine dining, but if you just want great, authentic Mexican, this is it. Great pricing, quality food. The staff was friendly and attentive too, even during the busy lunch hour. You won’t leave hungry. Great place.

Very consistently good. I have to say that after coming here for over 15 years (a couple of those were under the previous owner), this might well be Lompoc’s best Mexican restaurant. We’re always good for a carnitas torta but I venture into the fish tacos every once in awhile. It’s all good. Breakfast burrito can put you in the hospital. Don’t even think of eating one yourself, I tried! Easily good for 3 and delicious!

LOVE Taco Loco #2. Food is SOOOOO delicious and fast and reasonable. Order pick up at least once a week! I get their grilled chicken 99 cent tacos (5 of them!) MMMMMMMMMMmmmmm. My husband loves the burritos and carnitas! My son, who is not a «big» eater will grub on anything from there!

i love the chili verde omlettes, they are the best i’ve had, all of their other item are very good as well they also have a patio to eat on however the interior seating is very limited.

Work takes me to Lompoc just a few times a year, if that. Today had the $ 5.99 lunch special which includes a soda and consists of a plate of good rice and refried beans and your choice of either a crunchy taco or enchilada. Even though this doesn’t sound like much, i was actually stuffed. The enchilada was shredded beef, a very generous portion, covered in a flavorful red sauce and melted cheese. No chips come with the food, which is disappointing, but there is a squirt bottle of slightly sweet, quite spicy salsa on the table. Next time I’m in town, I would definitely return and have the crunchy chicken taco lunch special.

Really good breakfast burritos, we got 4 cherizo and egg, 4 bacon and egg and 2 orders of hash browns for about $ 35.00 and believe m i was more than enough food for 5 people. The people there where really nice but they can get pretty busy on saterdays.
