We bought a house with an addition that was put on by Boardwalk North. The addition was less than 10 years old and was sinking. The owner of Boardwalk North tried to tell us this was due to «unprecedented 100 year rains that we have had over the past two years». Funny thing is, the room was sinking before the«unprecedented rains». Not only was the room sinking, but there was also wood rot in various places and we discovered that the beam supporting a rather large deck was not connected to anything. Instead the deck was just resting on the beam. You could crawl under the deck and literally move the beam with a slight push. We were not the original owners who had the addition installed, so we did not expect to have the repair work done for free, but we also had no intentions of paying the same company who did the seeming shoddy work a premium. I found the owner to be abrupt and rude and more interested in finding excuses versus coming to investigate the problem. Needless to say, we passed on having them do the repairs and I am glad we did, because the people we hire pointed out a number of places were work was sub par(no calking around the outside windows — no wonder it was freezing in there in the winter, cheap wood used for the flashing which rotted out, etc.)
