I have ordered take-out in addition to eating– in here on several occasions, dating back to 2007– ish. I must say that the food quality has really plummeted in recent experiences! My wife and I, as well as our youngest daughters family, have tasted the difference in some of their Appetizers. The rice has also diminished in texture and flavor. We recently ordered 4 different all day special plates. Neither one of us finished our plates.(Styrofoam) I live close by and the Jay House has been a steady… decent option for our Asian food nights or lunches. The General Gau’s Chicken was near meatless as the supersweet, dry and overbattered chunks were spicy enough but almost unedible. The boneless spareribs were equally disappointing. It seems as though the food is just not as fresh or prepared with much diligence. Kind of a bummer because the food in general used to be much fresher, tastier, and well prepared. We will take a break on the Jay House for awhile, in hopes the there may be some kind of change in the near future. Stay tuned.

Food was bomb, service was a bit slow. But makes up for in food and price. Typical asian place with the service, ask for no ice lol

Jay house serves Chinese and Japanese food and sushi. They have a few tables and booths, and a sushi bar to sit at. They offer a full bar. Salmon teriyaki($ 15) was a 2 ounce portion(at best) of salmon that looked like sushi scraps. I wish I had taken a picture. Not a very good value for money. Sushi is decent. Chinese offerings are standard, nothing spectacular. The place is small and does get crowded.

Food was ok, but service sucks… They practically rush you out of there and we were the only customers there!

Sushi is pretty good here. The chinese food is awful. The«SB»(suffering bastard) is a great drink(limit 2). Stick to the sushi. Avoid the appetizers or food items.

Disinterested servers. Mediocre food. Asked for my dish to be «spicy», but the result was rather bland. The crab rangoon has almost no filling; more like a fried piece of dough.

The female server has left, yeah. The new staff is great, they are very polite and aim to please. They have a young gentleman and young lady now. They check on you to make sure you have what you need. Giant difference in atmosphere here now, you actually want to come in.

This service fucking sucks the girl with the mole was my waitress and she’s a bitch … She sits down at the table next to you and eats noodles and watches tv on her phone and then when you interrupt her to order she gets all pissy at you like she’s not working or something … Doesn’t speak doesn’t smile and I left her a 1 $ tip felt HORRIBLE about it being a server myself but she honestly didn’t even deserve that fucking dollar. I want her fired

Dont bother going to this restaurant. Awful service, can’t even speak any english. They don’t care if the food came out good or bad. Food was mediocre at best. Gave them one more chance and it will be the last time I ever go there.

If you order Monday thru Thursday you’re likely eating leftover, cold food. However when they are busy they make some yummy stuff! I always have a hard time understanding their staff. The décor is a typical dive restaurant. But if you can look past that you’ll get a decent meal for a decent price

I love this place. It’s tiny, but very good. Get a drink while you visit! Suffering B. is the best.

Worst Chinese food I’ve every had. My wife and I just left there angry. We were the only ones in there and I can see why. Waitress kept walking away from us while we were reordering the drinks and appetizers that we never got. Rather than refilling my drink or fetching duck sauce she sat at a table and played on her phone. But after asking for the check she hovered over us until we were gone. She was grabbing it faster than I could put my jacket on. Besides the horrible service the food gross. We didn’t even finish it. This place is a disgrace to the restaurant industry and should shamefully close.

Small place in strip mall. I highly suggest the fire mountain roll. Good quick lunch but a bit pricy for atmosphere

Sushi is good for the area, but the Chinese food is sub par. Ordered fried rice — they used Amarillo rice instead of white fried in sauce. It’s cheaper and easier for them but not the same as the usual Chinese fried rice. Ordered wonton soup — very good but had lettuce in it, kinda strange. Also, no wonton crackers were given with the soup, you can get them but for an up charge. General Tao’s chicken was very good, but they didn’t give any duck sauce, had to ask for it and was given 1 tiny container. None of the standard sauces were included except for 2 packets of soy sauce(no duck sauce or hot mustard). Definitely would go else where next time.

Great for lunch. Food has always been good here. Mai Tais are supper strong with just the right amount of juice. The rolls are amazing but I haven’t had much luck with the Chinese takeout. And it’s not cheap.

The best Chinese in town! Always fresh food. Service is quiet and quick. I like to pick it up and take it home. I’m not easy to please with Chinese. I’m so happy we found a great Chinese place In town! Woo hoooo!!!

I’m very picky about Chinese food and I have been going to Jay House for at least seven or eight years now and I’ve never been let down. My partner’s family always gets a huge order of food for New Year’s and after that we started going to the restaurant on our own. We eat here about once every other month or so and the family that works there knows us well enough to gauge what we want and are always so friendly. The drinks are strong and the food is always piping hot and delicious. I can’t say anything bad about the place. If you like inexpensive, tasty, Americanized Chinese/Japanese food then you can’t go wrong.
