New Beginnings Nail Salon

What a great place. Mani and pedi the best. Love it. I am truly a snob when it comes to pampering myself and this salon fits the bill.

I bought a groupon for 3 gel manis… I went in for the first and aside from the fact that the employees sat around talking about customers and my nail tec go up and went outside to smoke during my appt… it wasn’t too bad… the real problem came when I went to make my 2^nd appt… I was told I would have to pay an additional charge… I explained I was not told this before amd don’t understand why it would come up now… as I understood the whole price of the service was included in the groupon price… the woman (I believe it was the owner) said well we forgot to tell you last time… I checked and no where on their website or the groupon fine print is there mention of this mystery charge… I was refunded by groupon and would never go back to this place again if I was being paid to!

Awesome place for acrylic nails. Very friendly and outgoing staff. Did a wonderful job. It’s about a 15 minute drive from home but very much worth it. Will definitely be going back.

What a great salon.
I won’t lie: I’m picky when it comes to my nails. For me it is as much about the service as it is about the experience of being there. I have been getting acrylics done for ten years and I have tried a wide variety of nail places in that time. I’ve gone to places in malls, in strip malls, and private studios. I’ve had people file by hand, and file with a drill. I’ve had people for whom English is a second language, and people who only speak English. I can tell you with all honesty that New Beginnings is as good as it gets.
New Beginnings used to be known as The Polishing Touch until it was sold. The ownership has changed hands a few times over the past 5 years or so, but what as remained is a consistent staff committed to doing good work. I have seen a few different people there, but I have to tell you that Laura is great. She is the best person who has ever done my nails. She is the salon manager, and she is great with clients. She makes people feel comfortable and does good work. I have never had problems with my nails in the time I’ve gone to Laura.
The other great thing about New Beginnings is that they do have apprentices in their salon. I love that they cultivate nail techs in their own salon and have a program set up for this. From what I’ve seen the majority of the apprentices will study under Laura, and although they may not have the speed that comes with practice and tenure, they are thorough, clean and efficient.
The salon accepts walk-​ins and appointments. Depending on the time you’re looking to get in for an appointment is recommended, particularly for busy Saturdays as that is a popular day/​time. All filing is done by hand and no drills are used. There are two pedicure chairs in a separate room, and the room is very warm and inviting.
If you’re looking for a clean salon that cares about their clients look no further. I’ve always been pleased with the work that they do, and more importantly I’ve displayed my nails proudly and recommended this place to anyone who compliments me on my nails.
