I had hired Dan’s Floor Store based on a good reference from a family friend that had used them the year before.
I was installing new hardwood flooring in my dining room to match the existing flooring in the kitchen and hallways so I needed Dan to sand everything down stain and finish the flooring.
The day came when their employee showed up to start and all was going well with the sanding. The next day he was back and applied the stain coat, well when we got home we noticed that he had gotten the (dark) stain all over most of the base boards & door casings in the hallway as well as a spot on one of our walls (about 3′ up from the floor. All of this wood work and wall had been painted (white) 3 weeks before they came to do their work so we were not happy with this.
We had our painter come back and quote us to fix this damaged areas and his quote came in with in $ 70 of the balance we owed to Dan so Dan decided to cover our painter’s bill and the balance we owed him, truly above and beyond.
We would refer this company to anyone as we were very happy with the finish results of our floor and despite the damage to our fresh paint they made things right by us.
