Where do I start? The only positive is that thus place is convenient — especially if you are meeting up with a group if friends. Okay 1 more… the bands. Somehow they manage to hit it right by getting some good talent in. I’ve never eaten in this establishment because I’ve seen what others have been served and also felt there were issues with cleanliness. Drinking glasses come under suspicion once I notice there is a problem. There’s always the plastic or paper cup & I’ve asked for one. Luckily I always carry hand sanitizer…. The restrooms are an entirely different subject that I will stay away from. Due to the closure it really doesn’t matter anymore.

This place is now closed sadly due to increasing rent prices, but I loved it! Nice atmosphere, good food, good service… loved going there for paint nites too! So sad it closed, I loved the drink «swamp water»

bartender gave people next to me at the a happy hour discount and i didn’t receive one. when i asked she said she no control over it. when i mentioned the people next to me got one she went mute. if you go… ask for the discount. if you sitting there next to people getting it and assuming she is giving to you… you are inches. shoulder to shoulder… you are wrong.

Whippersnappers has good food. They often have deals on groupon. The deals make it possible to get a lot of food at a great price. The food is good. The ambiance could be a bit better. There is a large bar area in addition to the restaurant area.

So, news to me, the new recipe for the a lot to be left desired nachos «chile» is simply old, dried up, shredded beef??? I don’t understand this concept… wanted the bean type chile. The tomatoes on the nachos looked like Italian flavored tomatoes — weird. The portion size was about ¼ size of normal & they were horrible. (When I say normal, I had them 1−2x max) as I try to avoid this dark, dingy place at all costs. The rug should be ripped up and replaced with some sort of washable flooring as things are spilled regularly.
Forget the lamb shanks unless you want to eat something dried up and not cooked anytime recently. Friend and I both felt sick afterward & service was very inattentive. Prices high. Very unbelievable for such poor quality, not recommended to eat food.

Pub type atmosphere, entertainment & lots of happy campers!

If you’re looking for a good meal with great ambiance and great service at a great price. This is NOT your place. They failed on all counts

Made reservations to go for dinner, not my choice. I’ve been inside once before years ago, just for drinks… Soon as my wife and I pulled up into the plaza parking lot, we noticed there were no cars and the sign was ghetto looking as all hell. Then two rust bucket cars pulled up with some white trash people. Nuff’ said… we hauled out of there and wouldn’t go in there ever again. Place needs help from Bar Rescue!

This was without question the worst meal we’ve ever had!!! We had the 2 for $ 25 deal and got prime rib with mashed potatoes. It was literally flavorless. The potatoes tasted like the water they were boiled in. The salad, which is supposed to be included was the highlight of the meal. The waitress never offered us the salad and when we asked if it was included she said «only if you ask for it»
.really??? The desert was apple crisp which was made with a rock hard granola crust that would have been inedible if not for the ice cream. At $ 25 for 2 people, I feel violated!!!

I can’t believe the posts I am reading they must be friends or they must like the bar area. You will arrive to a parking lot to find whippersnappers at the end the sign is only lit up for the words that say whipper. The snapper is not lit up which just shows maintenance is not a high priority here. You enter and you can turn left or right right is the bar area left to the restaurant area there’s a black rug in the four-​year it it’s filthy dirty and how hard would it be to run a vacuum sweeper over that during the day. This draperies thrown on the wall that is not artfully hung up I just don’t get it there’s no windows but there’s drapes. Due to no maintenance in the General area that is is just a dirty mess. Oddly we were the only ones there (my husband and I). During our one hour and 15 minutes stay two other couples came in. The menu was not all that appealing to me but they did offer a fettuccine with spaghetti sauce and meatballs in a bread bowl which is so odd so I asked for my fettuccine to be on a plate it really should’ve been spaghetti not fettuccine but that’s all they had to offer. I had a salad as well which was okay but I am not impressed I do not like the meal selections I will never go back. My husband was not impressed with his mail either and right now I don’t remember what he had. If this is the appearance on the outside I can only imagine what the kitchen looks out I truly think somebody should check into their kitchen to make sure it sanitary. The bar area was busy and maybe that’s the appeal of this place maybe it should be just a bar not a restaurant

Cover charge? Seriously? Lame. I want my $ 5 back.

The reason I enjoy this place is because what they do, they do a constantly good job of doing. The service has always been pleasant, the food and drinks have always been weekday I expect. The décor is what it is, but it’s a restaurant that focuses on the food, drinks and service. That’s a lot more important to me than some cheesy decorated chain with baseballs and other random sports crap on the walls. It’s a comfortable place to go hang out, or go for a really good meal in general.

Big fan of this place. We’ve always had a great meal, and the desserts are great! Jason, the manager, is very personable, talks with each guest like a friend. Good stuff.

I hate to say this but the moment we walked in there was a foul odor. I couldn’t place it. It was mid-​afternoon so there happened to only be one other couple in there.
I’m not sure why but we decided to stick it out and try it. The food was alright. It was sort of boring and something I could have made at home but I did go for the easiest item to make.
I wasn’t happy and we won’t be going back there. My husband can’t smell anything so the odor didn’t bother him but it wasn’t good and I couldn’t wait to leave.
For only having two tables the server would disappear and not check on us so we sort of just shrugged it off and knew it wasn’t a good place for us.

This is a combination restaurant/​bar pub that offer live entertainment most days of the week. I have been a steady customer of this place for the past 7 years, mainly for the music and pub menu.
FOOD:
I would expect to get a fair price for the food that you order, with average quality and quantity. I often am able to order off menu items and they are more than willing to accommodate given if its not a busy night. (fish sandwich for example.) Your safe with regular bar food, burgers, wings, and most apps. I haven’t order dinner there as it can get pricey.
At the bar, you will find a wide range of people, regulars, older crowd and later in the evenings a younger crowd makes it way in.
HINT: On Tuesday nights they have a beer and burger special.
MUSIC:
Most weekend nights you will find a good band and a good crowd. On some Thursdays, you will find a great cover band of Bob Dylan — Napoleon in Rags. Some nights you may even hear Lisa Guyer, a local girl done well. Get there before 8:30 have dinner and avoid the cover charge.

OTHER STUFF:
Pool tables out back, some other table games like foosball and at one time they had a shuffle board.
SUMMARY:
If you are looking for an average meal, good drink and music, this is a great place to come. The only thing that I would like to see improvements on is the food/​price value. Great place for an app, drink and music.

Sadly, I expected more from this place. we went for a live band and dinner. About a half hour after we order we where told that they ran out of prime rib and scallops. I can accept running out of something, but not being told right away and then having to reorder and wait another hour for our new food is simply unacceptable. While our waitress was great even though she had a lot of tables. The other wait staff were let’s say very unhappy to be working here. Sadly there was not enough staff for the volume this night and service was slow. In general the owner should be ashamed of themselves for running this place like this.
The food was decent but not as hot as it should have been.
I have to our waitress credit she gave us a good comp because she understood the problems. I know it was not her fault but Megan is a total sweetheart.

Good place to go if you want to see a band and drink a beer (as long as you don’t mind slow service!
Do Not eat the food. Absolutely disgusting. I had fried fish and chips and it was literally soggy, the fries were gross– how do you ruin fries?! Ice cold and soggy.

Many years ago this place rocked, it had great food and service, it’s a shame that it went so far downhill.
Is this place a sports bar, dive bar or pub? Several TV’s with different games on & some guy on an electronic keyboard singing old rock tunes. Too loud to have a conversation.
Ate at the bar and the two female bartenders were very friendly and customer service oriented. They get five stars. Some old drunks at the bar, this doesn’t make for an inviting situation.
They have a big menu with many selections; I stayed safe and ordered the Rueben sandwich with onion rings. Corned beef is usually a tasty red meat; they somehow made it brown tasteless. Onion rings were dry and barely warm (is there onions in these things?). This place reminds me of a restaurant that just doesn’t care about what kind of food they put out.
If I’m in the area again, I’ll head to T-​Bones, it’s only a few minutes away.

Avoid at all costs. I’ve never been more angry and disgusted in quite some time. I’m not even going to go into specifics because this is the type of establishment that would make you sorry.

Really, not to be a drama Queen or anything, I am surprised that we all did not get sick from eating here.
Our neighbors, had a Groupon and had good intentions, and invited us here to dinner.
Even after reading all the bad reviews, We went and gave it our best shot.
So many things on so many levels were bad about this place– from the poor food preparation, poor taste, presentation, poor service, GOD AWFUL décor, and a dead roach in the men’s bathroom.
No one really liked or enjoyed their appetizers or meals. One said that their steak tips were okay. The desserts were just ok too– the best part of the meal.
The place is dark, dirty, and needs to find a decent chef, train the staff properly, and focus more on food than drinks.
