I’m in love with their HOLYSHIITAKEPIE. OMG, it makes my eyes roll back. Place is kinda spastic with the design, but food is good and service is reliable and friendly.

Normally this place rocks. Today arrive at 7pm on a Sunday and from the time we ordered to deliver to our table was an unimpressive 48 minutes. Not good work on it Mellow!

We usually like Mellow Mushroom, but it was beyond awful last weekend. Started with artichoke dip. We realized after we ate the bread, there was a brown reddish hair on the plate. Two slices of the pizza were not cooked thoroughly(due to globs of sauce near the crust) so it was doughy and not edible. We got two salads. One was mediocre, the other was shameful. Lettuce was not crisp, very overripe tomatoes, cucumbers were yellow in the middle(almost like they had been frozen?), mushrooms were brown and seemed unsafe to eat. Needless to say, I did not eat the salad. If we return, it will be a very long time.

Sunday afternoon and its really not too busy but the service is downright horrible. Slow, inattentive wait staff. It took 20minutes to place our order and over an hour to get our food, only to have it arrive cold. We asked TWICE to get our calzones reheated and they were only close to being warm. The manager did hear us out and compensated us for the inconvenience but I am still sad to see so many other reviews with the same dilemma going back for months. Hopefully some day the restaurant will iron it out. Because of this, I will not be recommending this location to anyone in the near future.

So their pizza is pretty good. However a couple nights ago, my family and I were looking for a place to go eat dinner. I walked up to the front podium, stood there for about five minutes trying to get someone’s attention. Never have Ive been so rudely ignored. They just avoided eye contact and kept doing their task. I would have understood, if they were like«sorry, but the kitchen just closed». But nothing, it was very rude and poor customer service. It really changed my thoughts on how I view dining there now.

I like Mellow Mushroom and this is my first time at this location. As always, the food was amazing. This is one of the better places to go for pizza. I only gave it 4 stars just because of the ambience of the place. I usually go to the location at Southglenn and it is much larger and more inviting inside. Will I come to this location again? Most likely as it’s very convenient to the place I just moved to.

Great pizza, been in several times and absolutely love the pizza. Last nights pizza was good, but on the warm side, not piping hot as it should be. Our server was very nice, but very busy, hence the cooler pizza maybe. Still will go back.

We are from Saint Paul, MN so this was our very first experience with Mellow Mushroom. We were told by our friends from the Denver area we HAD to visit a location and decided to pop in for dinner at around 8 pm. We sat and waited for a server for roughly fifteen minutes before someone greeted us. A disappointing first start especially considering the place was not particularly busy and there appeared to be about 5 servers still working. Our server was quick to refill our drinks but did mess up the order for my fiancé’s calzone by adding chicken, green peppers, onions, and mushrooms when he only asked for steak and green olives. Not sure how that happened??? She offered to have the kitchen make him a new one but it was very near to 9:00 and it looked/felt like they were in a hurry to close, so he told her it would be fine and he would give the one she brought a try.(He ended up not liking it but that’s on him). The food was awesome! I would definitely come back for the pizza. We recommend the Thai Dye. In the end, we felt our experience was rushed and slightly lacking in «good customer service» but the food was worth the trip. We would come back but probably at an earlier time so we weren’t hurried.

Mellow Mushroom is the bomb. I’m quite the pizza aficionado and I have to say that their distinctive yellow crust(I’m guessing from the taste that the color comes from honey mixed into the dough) is the best I’ve ever had. That makes it pretty easy to enjoy whatever pie is to your liking. For my money, the buffalo chicken pizza is a winner. The only reason this location doesn’t get five stars is that the service is a little iffy. We didn’t have a bad experience, but most of the servers are high school or college aged kids, so sometimes you have a good experience and sometimes not so much.

Wow impressed! A friend invited us here but never heard of the place. The service was quick and friendly. The kids loved watching the open kitchen while they were tossing the dough up in the air. Food was surprisingly tasty, we didn’t have any expectations, just thought it was another pizza joint. Loved the bruschetta and cheesy bread. We ordered the Maui pizza which was perfect with the thin crust bottom with a thick crust. The bread was quite impressive that made it an enjoyable meal.

This unique place is fun and great food. Love the specialty pizza’s and variety of other choices as well. This is great for any age, kids to grandparents! They also have a area that is great for large groups.

I’m quite sad there isn’t a Colorado Springs location. They offer an arrange here that is almost unheard of. You can take someone here who will eat literally anything or any animal without so much as a blink… AND you can come as a vegan, celiac(gluten free), lactose intolerant, or vegetarian and still have all your dietary preferences met in a wonderful meal. The salads are fantastic. The bar has an excellent selection, along with great microbrews. However, my martini was shorted and tasted like bottom shelf gin, not Bombay as I requested. The downside– the service I experienced on my trip was wretched. Even the little requests couldn’t be met. For example, an order of Sprite was delivered after the syrup had ran out… So, essentially it was bubbling water. But, that happens sometimes, right?! It’s clear. No big deal. I brought it up to the server, she looked irritated and said they’d fix it. 5 minutes later, a new cup was presented…(With an apology) And for the love of mushrooms, guess what it was? The same damn thing. Bubbling water, not Sprite. After 5 more minutes I was able to catch her attention. I told her it hadn’t changed, so asked her to just give us an orange soda or something that they couldn’t mess up. After our pizza was already served and being eaten, finally a correct soda was delivered. The server seemed more displeased with my asking for a simple soda to be delivered as soda not water than I actually was about them messing it up twice. She gifted me with dirty looks, but the pizza was so good that I just let her problem he her problem and not my own. The end.

I absolutely LOVE Mellow Mushroom. :) First things first. If you check-in on Unilocal, they give you a free plate of bruschetta and it is almost my favorite thing from this place. it’s so flavorful and delicious. My favorite pizza is the Buffalo chicken. but I love going with more people so that we can get multiple different pizzas and just share. The Maui Wowie is pretty amazing too. The banana peppers on it definitely give it a nice kick. The Boulder shake beer is phenomenal. and I will always get it when I’m here. The bonfire beer is really good too :) The staff here is the icing on the cake. They are so nice, so friendly, so attentive. They even gave me a scoop of ice cream to go in my boulder shake beer. and I got to try a beer float hehehe. I actually prefer the beer without the scoop of ice cream. but it was so nice of them to offer. and let me experience it. :) Multiple staff members came to talk to my table to say hi and explain the beers etc. So so so nice. I can’t wait to come back and try all the other pizzas and beers.

Having dined at a Mellow Mushroom in North Carolina in the past, I had an idea of what to expect. I had previousy tried their calzones and salads and found both tasty; however, this time I tried several different kinds of pizza paired with a local Colorado craft beer. I’m a classic pepperoni pizza with fresh cheeses, herbs, and veggies kind of girl, so I preferred the simple Kosmic Karma. The rest were a bit too overcomplicated for me personally, flavor wise. The bruschetta and soft pretzels with beer cheese dipping sauce won over my tastebuds and were the stars of my night. I could go for more of both. The staff was friendly and attentive, and I love the big, modern indoor/outdoor patio space. It is the perfect setting to dig into some pizza, sample some Colorado craft beers, and chat with friends!

What fun concept! Love all the hippie psychedelic décor! The food has funky 60s names as well, but don’t let that throw you! The food is very modern. We had the bruschetta, which was very flavorful tomatoes on soft bread. I mention the soft bread because I am not a fan of hard, stale, crusty, chew-up-the-roof-of-your-mouth bread. So, this was perfect. We had the soft pretzels with the beer cheese sauce. These are dangerous! To die for! Don’t try to eat just one! And, don’t tell anyone I licked the sauce container clean. We tried two different pizzas. My favorite was the Buffalo Chicken, then the Maui Wowie was a close second. I’ve been to a different location and also remember loving the Holy Shiitake and the Philospher’s. It’s like Pokemon. You gotta go back and try ‘em all. Just like the soft pretzels, the pizza crust is to die for! They also had very friendly and informative staff and a lot of local breweries on tap. We were very happy with our visit!

Showed up for a Unilocal Event. I’d never been to this location, and honestly had only eaten at the mellow mushroom once before. I was really impressed with the service – it was attentive, friendly and people seemed happy to be working. That is sometimes hard to find in this industry, and I appreciated it. The food was mighty tasty, if not the healthiest. But it’s pizza… and beer cheese! Yes, BEERCHEESE! I think they should offer this as a side to all pizzas to dip your crust in. The pizza itself was really good – the Maui wowie was my favorite, seconded by the Kosmic Karma. I think the different sauces and toppings are really what set the mushroom apart from other pizzerias. I’d only been to one Mellow Mushroom, in south Glenn shopping area. This one has much more personality. If you’re catching a movie, stop here for a bite to eat first, you won’t be disappointed.

This Mellow Mushroom doesn’t come close to the location at SouthGlenn. Every time we have visited {6 or so times}, the service has been less than stellar. We last visited a few days ago as a party of 8. They tried to squeeze us into one of those half circle booths, ensuring that we would all fit. It was laughable. We aren’t huge people, but there’s no way 8 adults would fit into one of those booths. We really had to insist on a larger seating situation. The service was awful. We waited 30 minutes to order &45 minutes for our food. We weren’t in a hurry but would have appreciated some communication about where the food was. My husband ordered a salad for before his entrée & had to ask about it {about 25 minutes after ordering it} which reminded the waiter to get it. The waiter took my FIL cup to refill it but never brought it back. The food was staggered coming out, the extra plate we asked for never arrived {my husband had to walk to grab it himself} and the salad dressing & chips had to be requested several times before they made an appearance. After all of this it came time to pay the bill. My husband & I were treating our party & decided to leave a tip of less than 15% due to the service. We believe it’s important to offer constructive criticism along with any tip under 20% so he approached our waiter as we left. He explained we left a poor tip as a reflection of the poor service. Unfortunately, instead of apologizing for the service, he became defensive & didn’t want to hear any constructive criticism. We won’t be back to this MM.

Came here after an afternoon of indoor skydiving across the street at iFly. We each ordered a small, which comes with 4 slices, so that we could share and essentially get 1 slice of each kind of pizza. My favorite was the truffle — it smelled and tasted amazing. The pizzas were on the oily side, but nothing some napkin blotting won’t help. A small is more than enough for 1 person, especially if you get the bruschetta appetizer to start(get a free one by checking in on Unilocal!). Definitely get a beer flight to wash down your pizzas!
