I’ve been going to Dr. Lohr for over 10 years. Very rarely have I had to wait more than a few minutes past my appointment time and the doctor and the staff have always been great. We moved to Virginia for a few years and coming back here and to Dr. Lohr has been a relief.

I wish my workplace was like this… lunch from 12 – 1:30, no physicals on Thursday or Friday… at least an hour wait every time I visit. Must be nice. Used to go here for convenience of location but it’s not worth the headache.

I enjoyed Dr. Pash-​Lohr until I had a few really bad pediatric experiences that made me leave. Firstly, there was a misdiagnosis that led to a horrible impetigo infection of my 6 month old, that an ALLERGIST correctly diagnosed. She also incorrectly informed me that allergists could not test for allergies at such a young age. What really got me though, was when the nurse gave my son the wrong vaccine. I even asked to clarify because she told me what she was doing and corrected herself saying she just called it wrong. No. She did it wrong. Just beware and listen to your guts when here.
Oh, and it is 100% inappropriate for the doctor to bring her dog to work because it is ill.

My family and I have moved quite a few times forcing us to find new doctors. I would honestly be super disappointed to ever have to leave the Dr. Lohr’s. They are consulate professionals, compassionate, understanding, patient. They are great with my children, ages 2, 5, 7. They have always been there for us after hours when we needed them. Simply put they are incredibly nice people and even better doctors. I’d recommend them to any of my family or friends in an instant.

I’ve been a patient of Dr’s Mark & Susan Lohr since 1998. I just noticed this Unilocal page and one negative review from «Malcolm B».
NEVER ONCE have I been treated like cattle, quite the opposite actually. I feel like family when I’m there AND everyone that I’ve referred to SEFP feels exactly the same. Holly, the office’s manger, always provides world-​class customer service. I’ve experienced nothing but professionalism and efficiency with scheduling, follow through and communication. Holly is one step ahead of your needs at all times… I barely have to explain myself.
The Docs… what can I say? In the 17 years that I’ve been in their care, I’ve always felt like I was a partner rather than a patient. As silly as it may sound, regardless of a wicked cold/​flu or dealing with more serious issues, I look forward to my appointment because of the level of care that I receive. They listen and talk TO you, not AT you. I feel very fortunate to be in their hands.
The Medical Staff… every member of their staff, past and present always live up to the standard that the Docs have set. Again, its that family feel… I always leave my appointment feeling as though my needs have been addressed.

Wow, I had to google the phone number for Dr. Mark Lohr and I saw that one bad review pop up in my search results, I have to correct whoever that person is. They must have reviewed the wrong SE Family Physicians or something. I have been a patient of Dr. Mark, and my daughter a patient of Dr. Susan, since 1997.

Because I travel for work, I sometimes find myself in Dr. Offices across the country; I have never been treated as well anyplace else. That goes for the staff as well as both Dr’s. These two are the most compassionate caring people in their field. You are respected, listened too, and considered in every visit, the follow up is prompt and unexpected. Wait times are less than average and really just depends on what is going on that day (If a lot of people are sick and asked to get in… deal with it). No patient will ever feel rushed out or like the doctor has someplace else too be or someone more important than you. Your treatments or whatever has brought you into the office is discussed and all your concerns or questions are answered. In this day of search engines, I would imagine most Dr’s get tired of hearing what patients «read on line», but they don’t get tiered of my google searches hear. You will get as much or as little education as you want from them. For me, the bedside manner of Dr. Lohr is just the right blend of humor, compassion and confidence. Once, when I had a particularly difficult to diagnose issue, I was referred to a specialist. After a few follow up calls from Dr. Mark, he could hear the frustration in my voice about the ongoing troubles. Let me tell what he did, he went back to the books, he consulted his colleges, he pursued my problems with a vigor unseen by the specialist. And then he came up with a solution. And because of it, I have a high quality life I wouldn’t have found if the follow up call never came after my visits with the specialist. You cannot often say that somebody literally saved your life. But Dr. Mark Lohr, literally saved mine.
You will not find a finer practice anywhere. If by chance they have a «billing mistake», (and it has NEVER happened to me or my family) cut them some slack, explain it to them. I am sure it will get fixed. These are good people, and they are miracle workers amongst Doctors. I don’t think I have thanked them enough in person, but next time I am in I will.

Had to stand up when I saw there was only one other review and it was horrible. I’m sorry that person had a bad experience, but my husband and I had completely the opposite experience. I cannot speak for other providers, but my husband and I saw Dr. Mark Lohr as our PCP for several years and have nothing but praise. Dr. Lohr may in fact have saved my husband’s life by taking the time to really understand his medical history and immediately flagged a seemingly mundane issue on a lab report. As it turned out — in catching that minor abnormality, Dr. Lohr got my husband to a neurologist who confirmed his suspicion that my husband had a very dangerous health condition — that had no apparent warning signs — that needed immediate attention and surgery. I am forever grateful to him for that. It saddens me that we moved to another city, because if not for that, we’d both continue to see Dr. Lohr. I’ve experienced the horrible ‘cattle call’ at other offices, and this was nothing of the sort. Dr. Lohr is patient and knowledgeable — and really takes the time to talk, listen and understand. He never made us feel rushed or like we weren’t important. He even worked with us with insurance drawbacks, and finding ways to get the access to the care we needed. He was amazing, and wish we could still see him. My only complaints — which may mimic some of the other reviewer’s comments — are in regard to support staff. They seem to go through a lot of nurses (maybe that’s just my perception) and I think many of them were lacking in experience or professionalism — an unfortunate tarnish on an otherwise stellar practice. The front desk person — Holly — whom I believe is no longer there — was also fairly obnoxious and pushy about personal ailments (she may want to review HIIPA regulations every now and again). But as far as the doctor — Dr. Lohr is the epitome of what everyone should look for in a physician and I wish him all the best — I highly recommend him.

I wouldn’t take my dog to this practice. You are made to feel like cattle. I understand its a business but I was treated like crap over $ 134 that I was totally unaware of until I tried to schedule a visit. I was made to feel like a dead beat and I had no clue this was even outstanding. And you will be force to describe you illness with the front desk no matter how personal or serious.
So if you like to be made to feel like your at a Veterinarian vs your Physician’s office, this is the place for you.
Personal touch is gone in this business.
