All issues seem to be resolved

Do not go here. The Doctors will not listen or explain anything to you. They mix up appointments, cancel surgery and don’t notify you. Also there is mixed opinions on my mri… if only I could get one of the «Doctors» to actually go over my mri that be great to. Also the Doctor mentioned a previous shoulder injury and I said no I don’t remember it being injured… they didn’t explain what it was. I switch Dr’s at spine one and the new Dr said there is nothing in the notes, let’s take a mri and see what’s going on with it. It doesn’t make any sense to me. Then again what very little was said to me didn’t make much sense.

Do not go there! When I first went there it was nice and very friendly. I chose there because of their same day appointments and they treat sacroiliac problems that my daughter suffers from. They seemed nice enough so I thought I would get my back checked out after years of pain. I wish I just stayed with having pain. I thought it was odd that both my daughter and I needed back injections (especially since it was her sacroiliac joint hurting). They gave me 7 and my daughter 4. They are definitely a shot pushing office. They didn’t inform me that I was out of network. They acted like I was. They didn’t get a pre-​authorization from my insurance and an estimate of cost so I could look at my options. When I asked the billing department about that they said I should have asked. Every other out patient procedure I’ve had has done that. My insurance denied them because according to my mri I didn’t need them, nor my daughter. They told me not to worry and that They appealed it several times and the insurance paid. Not very much mind you. Right now I’m stuck with having to pay over $ 10,000. It’s convenient that the MRI, surgery center, and Dr. offices are tied together. I had to pay more for getting a shot at the surgery center than the shot itself. I was going to fight this and report them to the Colorado fraud, waste, and abuse hotline as well as the trouble shooter on the news. After reading these posts I definitely am. I would encourage you to do the same.

I brought my MRI and Xray disc with me and Dr. Salahuddin looked them over on the computer and pointed out the places on my spine that were problems. A couple of bulging discs were the main problem that, a couple weeks earlier had been causing me major sciatic nerve pain. But the pain had since turned to mild numbness that was also fading. After telling Dr. Salahuddin I was no longer in pain, she told me she highly recommended getting a epidermal shot that would shrink the swelling. She warned if I didn’t do this, the numbness could stay with me for the rest of my life. I reluctantly agreed to the procedure. When I talked to the surgeon a week later before my scheduled injection, and told him there was zero pain and the numbness was almost gone as well, he told me the epidermal shot would do me no good. It only helps with pain. I told him Dr. Salahuddin said it would shrink the swelling. He said that was almost 100% not likely. So I left without the injection. So Dr. Salahuddin was only after my $$ for an injection I didn’t need!
Also, this place sets up your arrival time for your appointment 45 minutes before the time they want the doctor to see you. I showed up 45 minutes before, not realizing I would have to wait. It turned out to be over an hour sitting in the waiting room because they were busy that day. They have no respect for their patients’ time. They are only concerned with not having to wait for you, not about you waiting on them!

My first visit there was a great experience. They took the time to talk with me and show me new exercises. My 2^nd visit was the worst experience I have ever had! I saw Mike and upon his review of my MRI he said he saw nothing that would be causing my pain. I had the MRI results faxed to my primary Dr and they found that there is a buldging disc that is pressing on my nerves. Spine One made me feel like I was crazy, like it was all in my head. I will never recommend anyone to go here.

I was really put off by the reviews on Unilocal!of this provider. I did not actually see the reviews until I was in the waiting room and did a check in. totally scared! But… my experience was NOTHING like the previous reviews. My appointment was on time, the staff was wonderful and friendly, highly professional. I was offered bottled water and had a TV to watch even though they brought me right back. I saw a doctor, PA, DC, had an xray, reviewed the xray and saw aPhysical therapist within an hour (love). I have some serious issues and will require an MRI then surgery, the followed up by phone, helped me get my other appointments scheduled and were overall awesome. I would highly recommend this provider if you value professionalism and efficiency.

Nice facility, reasonably friendly staff that pushed injections that in retrospect were probably not the correct solution for me.
The biggest issue I’ve had is the post-​treatement billing. I’ve received almost $ 10,000 in bills for a single office visit from the several different «companies» that operate there despite having only seen one doctor.

Please, for the love of God, don’t go here. Seriously.
I had my first appointment this past January, seeing a doctor who absolutely wouldn’t take my horrifically crippling pain, seriously. It was so bad I couldn’t sit down to go to the bathroom, nor could I stand, and the only way I could lie down was to shift to one side and stay there without moving a muscle. In this shape, their doctor came in and told me that I wasn’t really hurting — but if my apparently non-​existent pain was so bad, they could start scheduling my cortisone shots. I was in so much pain I couldn’t even stand in the right position to do the initial x-​ray, so I was sent after this «consultation» to do an MRI at a facility in their basement.
Now remember, I was in so much pain the ONLY position I could stay in was to lie very still on one side, but they had me lie down on my back long enough to do the MRI — without first even trying to offer anything to help make this bearable. I managed to do this, but by the time the MRI was over, I was having a complete meltdown from all of the excruciating pain. Just so you know, I had never before cried from pain in my adult life, but this was beyond my ability to bear. I was so bad that they had to dress me and wheel me back up to the waiting room for the doctor’s office, where I waited… and waited… and waited… and waited… and waited… Finally, a nurse (guess the doctor couldn’t be bothered to see me at this point) came in and gave me a shot of Demerol — which was explained would wear off in a few hours. At least that got me in good enough shape to get back home, with my friend driving. It was also decided I would need to come in for cortisol shots.
As another reviewer mentioned, this is nothing more than a ‘trigger happy injection facility.’ As with ALL of their patients, they simply told me at this point to schedule 3 back-​to-​back cortisol injections and do all of these exactly 2 weeks apart. OK, I’ve spent much of my adult life on Prednisone (which may have contributed to why my spine had deteriorated so badly). Having been on Prednisone for so long, I know that corticosteroids can have a cumulative affect on the body. I even ended up in the ER a few weeks prior to this appointment because the tapering dose of Prednisone I had been given gave me some Very Bad Side Effects, but only after I had nearly completed the prescription. Telling people to automatically come in exactly every two weeks, regardless of the symptoms or if any of the shots had worked, is bad medicine. Good medicine would involve possibly giving the patient a shot, but combining that with physical therapy or even by itself to see if the one shot would work. For many people. all they need is something to help get them to the point where they can mange physical therapy. Some others may need an additional shot or two, while still others may not even need a shot as they get better by doing the right exercises.
The reason they recommend 3 immediate shots, spaced only two weeks apart (regardless of the patient’s needs), is because that is the maximum number of shots recommended ***for a year*** and that these shots could be dangerous if given more frequently than two weeks apart. Even then, most experts recommend spacing the shots much further apart than 2 weeks. This facility has proven that they don’t care about what’s best for their individual patients. They simply do the most they legally can, as quickly as they can, without consideration to any progress or problems on the patient’s end. This «one size fits all» approach is for their monetary benefit and may actually hurt some some of their patients.
To add insult to injury, I’m still not done with Spine One even though I NEVER had a cortisone shot there, having only seen one doctor and one nurse, one time each. Even though I paid all of their bills/​co-​pays at the time — and I can and have repeatedly proven this — I still get calls and letters trying to charge me for the same co-​pays. They have even admitted I owe them nothing, but they can’t manage their own medical billing systems to save their lives. These clueless people can’t figure out what bill I paid, when. Even after they admit their error and insist they have it all straightened out, they lose or forget something and the calls and bills start arriving, again. It never ends.
Bottom line: Just don’t go there, ever.
Edited to add: A quick search shows that this business has an «F» rating from the BBB, mirroring many of the problems I and the other 1-​star had explained. Therefore, choose who you trust when considering this establishment. The two of us plus the BBB, or the one guy who gave it a 5-​star rating and who thought the negative rating was bogus.

To be fair I’m leaving this with three stars based on my first experience.

Dr. Khan lied about fractures in both my shoulder blades. My husband, who assaulted me, received a copy of my x-​rays through the District Attorney. He has sponsored schmoozing events for my doctors and others.

So far so good… I have had great care here and they have helped my pain. I am early in my care plan so I will update this as it goes.

Spine One is a trigger happy injection facility, falling just short of a scam, that will poorly assess your condition and find the quickest way to make a buck. This organization succeeds by providing quick and expensive short-​term solutions for patients that may have complicated long-​term back problems. Their approach does not consider multiple options and you will probably find yourself on the injection table whether you need it or not. Just because you are having back pain doesn’t mean that the origin is your spine/​discs. Just because someone down at their in-​house imaging facility declares you have a bulged disc does not mean they have found the cause of your pain or that they even correctly diagnosed the image. Apparently no one there has heard of sacroiliac joint problems, subluxations, or piriformis syndrome. Your questions will go largely unanswered and if something goes wrong, you’re on your own. Oh, and good luck dealing with the billing department with charges on your statement that aren’t detailed and don’t make sense. The good news is that you can pay no-​interest for the rest of your life! Not a bad business model if you’re a money making machine.
I trusted the doctors at Spine One to identify and improve my condition, only to find four consistent alternate opinions, telling me that the operation wasn’t warranted. Spine One was not concerned about complications that I endured after my operation and it is clear to me that I fell into a trap.
Setting foot into Spine One was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made and I highly recommend that you seek help elsewhere.
