RUN BY A COUPLE OF NATIVES, I recently bought a back pack with the LB logo here. THE 1897 stands for the year Long Beach was incorporated. They have super solid STREET and BEACH wear. Love this Place! Clothes for everyone, literally. From infants to kids of all ages, teens and adults! I love that they have a variety of style for girls and guys. They also have a great variety of snap backs, i wish i could rock those hats but I’m not a hat girl. Great customer service and great prices! Go get your LB gear!

What can I say, except I really love this store! Such a great addition to the shops in the East Village. 1897LB features Long Beach and urban inspired apparel from infants to adult men and women.
I recently purchased a women’s hoodie from them that I love because it’s made to fit women perfectly. It’s a slimmer cut hoodie, so you don’t look so dumpy with extra fabric in the torso area; the sleeves are also more narrow and hit exactly at the wrist. My neighbor purchased one and she loves hers too. Women’s t-​shirts are slim cut and V-​neck as well. However, if you like wearing men’s size t-​shirts and hoodies they carry those too. All very well made with cutting-​edge urban designs.
I think what sets this store apart from the rest are their infants and children section. It’s not your ordinary kids clothing store. They carry items such as baseball caps just for children and tattoo designed onesies. So cute!
Customer service at 1897LB is also great! When I wanted to purchase more items, I simply messaged them on their FB page and they set aside my items ready for me to purchase and pick-​up. I also like the fact the owners are involved in community activities and improving the neighborhood. Plenty of metered street parking close by.
