Boreas has made me love Bed and Breakfasts! Ok, so maybe it was my first and only experience, but if BnBs are as great, or even half as great as Boreas — I’ll be a happy camper(or should I say overnighter?) Boreas was cute and welcoming from everything down to the adorable soap dish in our bathroom. Susie and Bill were amazing — and thank you to Bill who had to forgo and evening’s plans to stay in and check us in because we were horribly late! I especially loved the hot tub, which after a long tour and instructions(grab the key, light the candle, lock the door, etc), you could hear the waves crashing in as you sat in their hot tub gazebo. Sure we were known as the«hot tub couple» but hey, of course we’re going to take advantage of it! It was soothing, quiet and a great way to relax at the end of the day. During the time of year we visited, the bugs were pretty bad and so the walk to the beach had a lot more running and swatting than we’d planned(come to find out they had plenty of bug spray on hand — oops?). As you get through the walk though, you come upon the flat open expanse of the beach! It was great walking up and down all to get your feet wet. Lastly, the breakfast! OMG! I can’t remember the last time I had that level of breakfast. The bourbon pear, the chorizo frittata, the biscuits, all of it! I couldn’t get enough and it was well worth the strict wake-up time. Everyone at breakfast was a joy and the hosts were knowledgeable, interesting, and everything you could hope for! Absolutely loved the experience!

Really cute place with small, but cozy rooms. The beds are super comfortable and the common space has lots of magazines and games. And the owners are very friendly. The breakfasts are a little over the top tho. Expect to spend 90 minutes on breakfast, which is only served at one specified time. They don’t seem to be in any hurry and leave you sitting at the table with the other guests for up to an hour between the first fruit(and sugar) course and the next course. The food, while pretty tasty is so loaded in butter, sugar, cream and grease that I felt sick after eating it. Personally, if I were to go again, I’d skip the breakfast and just go enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi!

Boreas B&B is the type of place I don’t want you, you, or you to even know about. It’s that good. Suzy and Bill make this place a castle for every single person that enters their house. The rooms are super comfortable and charming. Breakfast is… well there really aren’t words for how superb the homemade breakfast is at Boreas. Bill and Suzy both could compete on Top Chef, that’s all I’m going to say. The new jacuzzi is magical and I love the candle system they have going. My boyfriend and I have fallen in love with this B&B and will visit again as soon as possible!

Stayed here less then 2 of years ago. And it was a pleasant experience; the couple that runs the place is very friendly and go out of their way to make their guests happy. We stayed in the Dunes Suite which had a very soft bed covered in plenty of clean heavy linens, It’s a fairly large room with lots of windows and was light and cool for July. The bathroom was clean and comfortable as well. They not only had mini soaps and shampoos but chapstick and mouthwash as well. The breakfasts were a fun way to meet other couples and have nice discussions. They made these lovely cinnamon twist cookies with maple icing that were really yummy. Their breakfasts were huge and extravagant. I remember salmon spinach sausages. They also served rich coffee and teas. A nice place to getaway from it all, it’s not too far from downtown so you can walk to the local pharmacy and pick up some sunscreen or postcards if needed. They had board games, books, and lots of nice little extras in the living room for the guests. They also had a Jacuzzi in a little gazebo room in the backyard and encouraged skinny-dipping for frisky couples as long as the occupied candle was lit in the window. The owners are also happy to make reservations and recommend restaurants. We had a nice time. From more information check out there website; Update — This bed and breakfast is now on the market. So if you are looking to buy please contact the owner.
