I came in today to get a copy of my prescription to order contacts online. The doctor asked me how many boxes I need. I just told him the truth that I just wanted the prescription so I can order online. He said he can match the price, so I showed him the price I found online and he matched it. Awesome! I’m happier now with my contacts. I bought two boxes.

I have been going to Robert for over 8 years. Everyone I have referred to him continues to go to him as well. His team is friendly. They have equipment to make your lenses on-​site so you get them faster.

My grandma had a horrible experience here. Not only do they try to sell you cheap frames that are way over priced but also not considerate of elderly people at all! My grandma received the worst prescribed glasses every seen. Would not recommend this place. Rude front desk lady by the name of «bee».

The consultation was $ 59 because I have no visual insurance. It’s another $ 25? If you want a dilated eye exam *worth it for complete peace of mind. The optometrist I saw was super nice and answered all my questions patiently. My prescription lenses came out to about $ 130. And my frames where about $ 60 *after the salesmen «knocked» $ 20 off. I couldn’t afford to pay the full balance of my glasses so I left a $ 60 deposit. Then I asked the salesmen if I could make payment arrangements. He said yes. Then I asked if I had to make another payment when I pick them up the next day. He said no. What he didn’t tell me is that I couldn’t take them home until I paid off the entire balance. Boom guys. Watch out for that one.

Super fast service, I came in to replace my glasses I was in urgent need of new ones. They told me 2 hours, I got a call in 45 minutes to come pick it up! Thanks

This place went above and beyond my expectation today. Soroush the manager was very helpful and patience with me in the whole process. I got the best deal, the staff is courteous, and got my glasses the same day. I’m a happy camper. I can say this place is not your typical optometry. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and families.

I haven’t had very positive experiences with optometrists in Long Beach until I came to Day Star. The staff is friendly and receptive and the Optometrist is laid back and actually listens. I initially went in and had an existing prescription filled. They have a huge stock of frames to choose from and they are very reasonably priced. I ended up with a pair of Giorgio Armani frames that would have cost me twice as much at another optometry place in Long Beach which I will not name here. They have a lab on premises so you can get your glasses in a few days.
I went back again to get a new prescription as my eye sight was going crazy due to diabetes that I had no idea I had until last year when I was diagnosed. After an initial check of my eyes and me telling the optometrist that I had just been diagnosed with diabetes, the optometrist told me that I would be wasting my money if I filled a prescription at that time since my eye sight would be going through some major changes. He sold me a pair of readers for $ 3.00, they were actually quite nice, and told me to wait at least a year to come back. Neither I nor my insurance were charged for the eye exam. I couldn’t believe how honest this optometrist was!
The staff is knowledgeable, patient and friendly. They have tons of frames to choose from and they constantly update their stock. The location isn’t the best but the place itself if clean and inviting.
Give this place a shot if you’re looking for glasses. You won’t be sorry and neither will yoru wallet.
