A great donut shop. Most people will be turned off by the«grunge-y» atmosphere and lack of «real» décor but it’s perfectly quaint and nice for a quick pick me up kind of stop. The donut selection in the mornings(they open at 5!) are wide and varied. However, in the later afternoons they don’t have a huge variety. I find it rather fun because I can try things that I normally wouldn’t. The prices are extremely reasonable. The last time my partner and I went, two donuts cost us only $ 1.42. The owners and employees are extremely friendly. It’s definitely a place to get your sweet fix and a cheap deal!

Donuts are always fresh and very good. Love this place, their selection is just limited sometimes depending on the time of day you arrive. Owners are very nice and helpful.

The cronuts are decent. The blueberry donuts are delightful. It’s a bit pricey and somewhat awkwardly located. Not my fav, but I always return.

Fresh delicious doughnuts and lottery scratchers, what more could you ask for? This is my favorite pick-me-up on any given overcast day in Long Beach. The service is quick and friendly and the doughnuts are really good and cheap too! I like to get the glazed munchkin sized ones and a Monopoly scratcher. They also have other drinks– hot chocolate, coffee, energy drinks, bottled Starbucks Frappuccinos, etc. They do get pretty busy, so get there early if you want to make sure to get your favorite doughnut. At 7:45am they were down to only 3 munchkins!

This evening is the night before the 500 million dollar california lottery jackpot so I was trying to find an obscure place to purchase my ticket. There is a liquor store next to Granny’s Donuts and I thought I would go there but then I noticed that Granny’s also had a bunch of those ticket things and was flashing California Lottery all over the place. I purchased my tickets and the dude behind the counter went on and on about the different ways your money can be delivered to you if you win and how to invest it and what types of tax brackets I would be in and so on a so forth. It was pretty funny, I didn’t need to be closed because I already bought the ticket I just needed to walk out the door. I am glad he talked to me, I normally don’t run into chatty characters when I am roaming around Long Beach at night.

Come here every now-and-then. Ordered a dozen of donuts for $ 7. The service may not always be up to par but that’s just how Asians handle their business. The donuts taste okay, which is better than tasting horrible. Although I must agree it doesn’t have the best interior décor, but due to its location I would come back if I’m craving donuts.

Donuts are just okay here, and so is service. We went in at about 11am on a sunday, and they didnt have a very large selection… we ended up leaving since the people I was with are picky and didnt see the donuts we were looking for(vanilla with sprinkles-thats like the one of the most common donuts and they were out)

When I have the need for a sugar rush, thier apple fritters fit the bill. Donuts are fresh, service is prompt. A while back I got there ‘early’(for me) and the guy was laying on a cot in the back. Guess in that line of work, you take naps in between batches of deep fried fatty doughy glazed goodness. Disturbing observation: where does this place make their money… lottery sales, tobacco sales or donuts? Be careful stepping foot in here, you may have to shoulder past the occassional homeless person or other undesirable.

I come here because it’s so close to home. When the lotto jackpot gets up to 100M or so, I buy my ticket here. Sometimes I buy an Arizona Green Tea, or a crueller, but most of the time I don’t. However, the guy always remembers, as asks me if that’s what I want. Cracks me up. The donuts are okay, but it’s kind of dingy and depressing inside, especially when I see people hunkered over their scratchers.
