They always say mom n pap joints have the best food! Gypsy’s probably has some of the best middle Easter food I have ever had outside of my home. Their lamb and beef kabob are to die for. Today customer service is also a big variable. Let’s just say my drink was always filled and I was always attended too. Hats off to the owners. They did a fantastic job with their food quality and customer service. Will go there again in a heart beat!

Came here for the first time & oooooooh EMGEEE so delicious. I love persian food but it’s so hard to find restaurants with good service & this place has won my heart. Service is exceptional and the ambiance is perfect for any occasion!!!

One of my favorites. They have the best tabouli I’ve ever tasted.

I’ve been coming here since it first opened, and I have never been disappointed. Personally I think it’s the best Mediterranean food around. Whenever I’m in Long Beach, this place is top of mind for lunch or dinner.

I professionally review salads for the Gluten Gazette in Milwaukee, and I was recommended to come to Gypsy’s while visiting Long Beach for a Zumba convention. This was absolutely the best salad I’ve had in eight and a half months. The service that my server Carla gave me matched my salad: fresh, real, cool, unique. Will be back next Zumba convention for sure and bring my zumba gal pals! Look out fellas LOL!

Terribly slow service. No one was in there besides ourselves and they still don’t bring the ice tea that we ordered. It took over 50 minutes to get our meal. This is not the first time this had happened but it will be the last time I go there. Good food but don’t go expecting good service.

I came by for dinner and wanted to try this eatery since I love Mediterranean food. The food definitely tastes more organic and fresh than other places I have eaten. The atmosphere is small, quaint and a nice little patio. I ordered the chicken entrée– nice moist texture, buttery balsamic rice and refreshingly tasty taboulleh. service was a little slow but friendly server. Also parking could be a little difficult recommended to park at beach free after 7:00.

I’ve been a huge fan of this spot for about 5 years. This hidden gem has tasty fresh food, high quality, and not too heavy. For starters their rice is AMAZING!!! Thank goodness I can’t figure out how to replicate it or I would be rather hefty!!! It’s texture is nice and firm like Persian rice but also has some magic orange color and buttery goodness to it. The tabbouleh is the perfect amounts of the complimentary flavors, only occasionally the onions are a bit large for my taste but delicious all the same. Probably my favorite here is the falafel, perfect!!! Seriously no where else compares!!! Also their kebabs are tasty, especially the chicken, the lamb shank is tender and juicy fall off the bone goodness. I love their salads too the spring mix they use is a great blend. Finally, love love love the baklava, I think they use a rose water in it maybe it’s got this flowery after taste.

This is one of the absolute best places I have ever eaten at in my 32 years of existence. Their chicken is on point and the rice is top notch. On top of that their staff is second to none. I recommend to anyone, if you’re visiting in the area it is a restaurant you do not want to miss! Enjoy!

Just moved to the neighborhood and I’ve been checking out restaurants I can walk to. This is one that I will definitely be back to. Service was attentive, they even brought my dog some water without me asking. Food was pretty good and I felt very full and healthy for once. The back patio seating is super cute too. Overall just a bomb little spot.

This place has been a go-to for years! I love the beef kabob plate, the eggplant spread, the ambiance, the staff, the location… let’s just say, I love it all! You can’t go wrong here.

Cute little Mediterranean restaurant near the pier. Always get the chicken marinated in yogurt which it really moist and delicious. Hummus is ok. Byob although I heard they were supposed to be getting there liquor license soon. My only complaint would be that the pita they have is ridiculously BAD. It’s one of the main reasons I don’t come here and I only live 2 blocks away. The pita is super thin, dry, and cold. Really?! They could walk across the street to Vons and buy better pita. Who’s decision was it to buy such bad bread? And why is it cold? I would do your restaurant a favor and buy better pita. It’s not expensive, and the stuff you are serving cheapens the whole experience.

The hummus is great! But the salmon kabobs are over cooked. I’m a girl that likes to be able to chew soft salmon rather than a dry mouth from over cooked salmon. Good vibes though.

I’ve only been here twice, but each time has been a very pleasant experience. The food is prepared and presented with care. Everything I’ve had has been delicious. The outdoor patio dining was warm and sunny in the day, and warm and cozy at night with the help of a tree heater. I intend to return many times. #steelparade #steeldrumlife

I’ve passed this little gem of a restaurant a handful of times and sad that I haven’t found it sooner. Came here on a Friday afternoon with some coworkers and was pleasantly surprised! This location is quite quaint with a handful of small tables inside and a outdoor patio which would be perfect on a sunny day. Our server was very friendly and we ordered right away. I was definitely hungry when I came so I was anxious to try the food. FOOD: organic chicken kabob. Comes with around 5 square pieces, rice and salad. If you are super hungry I would suggest the combo platter which includes another kabob of meat. I got full off the rice and would suggest the barberries on top as it is traditional with Persian and Med. dishes. Loved the buttery flavor of the rice and chicken was juicy and not over cooked. Came here another time and got the combo platter with chicken and lamb. Lamb was tasty but wasn’t able to finish all my food! Will definitely be back as it is walking distance from my house too :)
