After eating the world’s most disgusting seafood paella a few blocks away my love of paella was saved at Mediterranean Seafood Café. The seafood was fresh and the sauce was flavorful. Throw in a beautiful décor and fast and friendly service and you have a great seafood experience.
I hope this place survives Sandy and is able to prosper. Long Beach needs more positive experiences moving forward.

We had the 2.5 lb lobster special which was great. Nice arugula salad to start, great lobster, nice sides, and a good price at $ 36, actually. Service was friendly and quick, even in accommodating our 2 year old. The hummus and warm flatbread delivered right when you sit down is a nice touch.

With several tables available we got seated at a table literally 3 inches from another, we were literally sitting with strangers. Waiter was blah, food was ok, nothing special. Had sea bass, nothing citrus about it seemed like a grilled piece of fish, nothing more.

Bad food, terrible service, even worse attitude. We went there last weekend. The food we ordered ranged from «Meh» to Really bad. The Swordfish I ordered was dry and tasteless. The Linguine with Clam Sauce had Lemon, of all things, instead of the usual garlic.
The service was extremely tardy and slow. Even worse, the Men’s room door had a broken lock, which the staff apparently knew about, and did nothing about. Amazing. I wouldn’t go back if you paid me.

Great interior décor, as soon as you walk in you would never think your in a West End restaurant in Long Beach.
Overall its nothing special here. You will find your typical seafood dishes with pasta.
I had the muscles and linguine w clams which was good but there not too many ways to make muscles with linguine so if they messed this up there would be something definitely wrong.
What I really did enjoy is the starter bread dishes they give you complementary with the dinner which are were garlic bread and pita w hummus. Both very good.
Overall it was good here but its a bit pricey for something that I can cook at home.
