My boyfriend had gotten me a gift certificate for Sheila before a trip we were about to go on. I couldn’t get an appointment then. I have been trying to schedule an appointment since February and have not heard once word back until I asked for a refund and even then it was weeks. Then she tells me she doesn’t give refunds.
We have paid for a service that I never received and now she won’t give me my money back so I can go to someone who will actually do my nails.
I would suggest NEVER buying a gift certificate or counting on Sheila for an event. This has been the most frustrating pampering session ever!

Sheila is AMAZING! I have very thin and weak finger nails. And after going to the nail «chop shops» for years, I decided that I needed to do something better to help my nails. I did a lot of research and looked long and hard before I found Sheila. She takes time with my nails. Creates a plan of action to help them get stronger and the polish stay on longer. She is detail oriented and very knowledgable. I liken her to an esthetician or hairdresser for my nails. Completely worth every penny and a little further drive for me. I recommend Sheila to EVERYONE!

I have had the pleasure of going to here for over a year and I come every ²⁄₃ weeks!!! I was about 7months pregnant and needed to feel better and my toes where a mess… Well Sheila came to my rescue and I felt right at home!!! And now with my 10month old baby girl, Sheila works around my schedule and my daughter loves going to see her… Enough about my baby girl lol now about my toes… Man oh man they where a BIG MESS. And Sheila has helped with my over grown skin and ingrown toes, she works her magic every time! She is super super clean and professional!!!

Sheila is amazing! She did a fabulous job on my nails. She took her time and made sure every nail was perfect. I was having a difficult time choosing my nail color and she also was extremely patient and helpful. I never felt rushed or like I was inconveniencing her. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. She’s excellent! :)

I’m so glad I found Sheila! I leave with awesome looking and healthy nails every time. The place is clean and tidy, and her gel manicures are a work of art. She is such a lovely person to chat with, I look forward to my visits. The private room and easy parking at the salon are a huge plus!

Sheila is world class. I have been going to her for a while now and I should have gotten this review up much sooner.

Sheila is kind and so easy to talk to. She is also extremely put together and fashionable (so I know I’m in good hands) while being so down to earth and sweet.
The thing which everyone says about her is that she is a perfectionist. This is completely true.
Sheila takes her time and makes sure her work is perfect. Her work is flawless whether it’s a simple solid color or a complex and edgy design.
I also like that she is always learning more. She even puts herself out there to do fashion shows. That’s right, this chick even works on models. But again, she is such a sweetheart.

Sheila will give you the nail transformation youve been dreaming about. She has all the qualities that most people look for in a manicurist: She is on time, knowledgeable, clean/​tidy, personable/​friendly, affordable, willing to learn, and experienced!
Sheila has a private room located inside of Ambiance day spa and it’s kept very tidy with an abundance of gel polish and regular polish choices. I love the boutique feel of this place. It’s very cute and simplistic with ample parking in the back lot. Sheila will talk to you like youve been long lost friends for ages. She can do any shape of nail you desire. Ive had her shape my wide nails beds to make an illusion of a narrow square, almond shape, and pointed. She can do it all. Go to Sheila for an experience to remember and work that lasts!

I LOVE Sheila. She is very personable and takes the time to do things the right way. If I go anywhere else, the gel peels off or chips. Sheila does such an amazing job properly prepping that I never have an issue with this.
Her room is completely clean and sanitary, which makes you feel well taken care of. This is especially true when getting a pedi!
She is also very creative and innovative with her nail art, but still does things the right way.
I know that when I see Sheila, I’m in for a treat. She’s wonderful and I highly recommend her nail services.

Sheila is THE best! She’s super kind, caring, and very warm. You feel like you’re talking to a long lost friend when you sit in that chair. Her space is perfect for one-​on-​one time & attention. Everything is clean and in its place. She has an awesome mix of music playing in the background. Her work is GREAT! She did such a great job shaping and taking care of my nails. The color used was beautiful I can’t get over it!
You know the service is good when you keep staring at your nails! They just look so fresh and so clean! There’s something about a simple manicure that makes you feel like a million bucks (when it’s done right)! This girl does great work and I am SO happy I went to Sheila! Sheila came to the rescue when I was home bound and recovering from major surgery. Great service. Very professional. And thoroughly enjoyable. One of the best mani/​pedis I have had in a long time.

I was tired of going to standard nail salon, found Shelia through a mutal friend. I’m never going to a nail salon again. I love the fact my mani & pedi are completely sanitary. And I can get my mani & pedi in the comfort of my home.

I found Sheila as I am a longstanding client of Ambiance Skincare. I am extremely picky about nail salon and hygienic practices, or lack thereof in most cases. I have been driving to Newport Beach from Signal Hill to get my nails done. I am so happy to have found Sheila. She is detail-​oriented and very precise. Cleanliness is outstanding. She is so sweet and accommodating. No more Newport trips for me.

LOVE HER! There are simply not enough words to describe what an amazing person, and manicurist Sheila is. She is a perfectionist! The quality of her work and products are top notch. She comes to our home and does mani’s and pedi’s and is so convenient and easy to arrange via text — I cannot imagine going to anyone else ever again. Her smile greets you at the door, and we all feel like she’s part of the family. I would recommend her to anyone out there — either at her salon or coming to your home. Sheila has spoiled me for all other manicurists. I have been going to Sheila for manis and pedis for several years and I cant honestly think of any time where I had a problem with the polish or her work. She is a perfectionist and really takes her time to do the job well. And spending time with Sheila is fun, too – you will feel as if you have spent your time laughing with a good friend, rather than being irritated with someone who wants to hurry you out or doesn’t speak your language. Sheila’s prices may seem higher than the average corner nail salon, but the job she does is worth it. Your polish will last longer – and you are assured of a sanitary experience with no questionable tools or dirty spa chairs. You cannot put a price on that!

I was looking for a mobile manicurist in Long Beach for a mani pedi. My mother wasn’t available to leave the house and was recovering from minor surgery. I spoke to Sheila on the phone and she was able to accommodate an appointment on a Saturday afternoon. She promptly showed up at our scheduled time and gave a fantastic service. Although I was not able to meet her, my mother said she did a fantastic job and gave her the best foot massage ever. My mother was extremely happy with her manicure and pedicure, she’s very picky and a difficult client. Shelia had very clean tools and a large selection of colors to choose from. She was professional and I would recommend her for our next home visit.

I found Sheila via Groupon. I recommend keeping an eye out for another one because it is a great deal. She works out of Ambiance on 4^th Street, but the phone number is her direct cell so it is super easy to text for any last minute appointments, and she is pretty good about getting back to you right away.
The space she works in is small, but private and cozy. It’s just her, so it’s not ideal for more than one person at a time… which I like! I get 100% of her attention, she’s rockin’ her iPod, or she’ll let you rock yours, you can sip on some tea or water if you want. Not only that, but Sheila is just a great person. You instantly feel like long lost friends, she’s honest, fresh and just real with you. It is just a genuinely pleasant experience.
As for her skills, she is careful and attentive. She listens to what you want, will offer great suggestions, and my nails always come out flawless. One time I thought the gel color had gotten a little discolored the next day, so I texted her and she responded right away that she would fix it asap. Luckily, it went away, I think it was just color that had transferred from my new jeans or something like that. Her nail color selection is better than most, in both gel and regular nail polish. She carries a lot of the best Essie colors, which I love.
Overall, always a good experience!

I had been looking for a place to go get my nails done for a few months now since moving to Long Beach. I’ve tried a few places, but none were great enough to go back to. But Nails by Sheila was fantastic! It was great because the place was open until 7, so I was still able to go on a weekday after work. Ambiance Spa is really cute, great atmosphere, and everyone was very friendly. I ended up buying the Groupon for Sheila, which was $ 22 for a Gel Manicure (50% off). Great price, but I will definitely go back to Sheila and pay the full price. Not only is the manicure perfect, but she was fun to talk to as well which is a pretty rare find at a nail salon.
It was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend to anyone!
