RC Endodontics

I was referred to a periodontist for a probable abscess in my root canal. I can begin by saying I was originally referred to a Peridontist that accepted our insurance. The moment I walked into the «other» office I started getting a very strange vibe. They were discussing billing issues and finances with patients in the waiting room and the Doctor was so rude! I couldn’t leave that office quick enough.
I called our insurance for local peridontists that would accept our insurance and was given a couple numbers. Just by luck I chose to call RC Dental.
I called and was scheduled with Dr. Rustad the very next day.
I’d never been to a specialist for this type of infection. My face was so swollen and I was scared. The moment I met Dr. Rustad I was made to feel so much better. It’s not often you find a specialist of any kind who cares about you instead of how to keep tacking on charges. Not only did she make sure all was covered she made me feel like a person and not just a way to make extra money.
She is an awesome and I mean awesome Peridontist. I made sure our dentist got to meet her because she’s someone I think anyone would love to meet her and have her work done by her if possible. She was very professional and explained everything to me. I should have wrote this review the year it happened but I didn’t. All I can say is thank you Dr. Rustad for giving me the opportunity to meet you and for taking the time to make sure I was okay. She even texted me (of course with my permission) since it was a bit difficult to talk with a big fat swollen face. RC Dental is the place I’d go to or take my kids if (but I hope they never have to go) or refer anyone. Dr Rustad is just that amazing.

TRUE FIVE STARS FOR Dr. Sami Ali. I love these folks. They were exceptionally friendly, transparent in pricing, and answered all of my questions. During my initial consultation it wasn’t clear as to whether I would need the full root canal repair with crown replacement or would just need the apicoectomy. Dr. Ali took the time to explain the pros/​cons of both and answer all of my questions. What I appreciated most was that he wasn’t hasty to tell me what I would need. He took the time to think it over and consult with my dentist. I really appreciate this level of professionalism. It was comforting, considering they were going to drill into my face! After the procedure they were very helpful in answering my questions regarding swelling, which I learned was normal. I was even able to reach Dr. Ali when I called the other location … sounds like they have a winning team overall.

I have not been to the Long Beach office as I had to be seen at the Rancho office but I was in contact with Janelly, the office manager at the LB office. She is amazing! Super professional and passionate about her job! She totally went out of her way to help me with my urgent situation. She made sure that I was seen at the Rancho office a week earlier than my originally scheduled appointment (scheduled for the LB office). She also called me after I was seen at the Rancho office to make sure that everything went well and that I was helped. TALK ABOUT EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! The best ever! I can’t thank her enough for being so caring, attentive, professional, and going above and beyond.

Dr. Megan Rustad is the second endodontist I’ve been to, so I had a comparison point before coming in a few months ago. My first endodontist was okay; however, I wouldn’t even need him as a comparison because the moment Dr. Rustad had me falling asleep* during a freaking root canal, I knew things were going pretty well.

My wife, also not into root canals and such, found out a few weeks ago that she needed one, so I sent her here. She didn’t believe that anyone could be so efficient while being gentle, but she had her appointment this morning and reported to me that she, too, started falling asleep. 10 stars for Dr. Rustad.
(Also, I should note that the office staff are incredibly friendly and thorough. Warm fuzzies abound in this place.)
