Loud and friendly. Odd music but fun and honest pours. Cheers Y’all

I have visited a lot of the dive bars in Long Beach. Monday night at the Red Dog Saloon was a first for me. The place was loud and lively. There was a dart tourney going on. Two Electronic Dart Boards. They also have two pool tables. Lots of TV’s and a clean bathroom. The Juke Box is online so you can find the music you want to play. Since this was our first time we sat at the bar. Everyone was friendly and we had a good time. This bar does not have food, BUT… there is plenty of food within walking distance. Carrie is an awesome bartender. We will defiantly go back.

Great little dive bar, drinks are cheap, the crowd is lively, and the beer cold. I had a great time.

It needs a good cleaning and some updates to the bathrooms. Most of the time I go there it’s to just play pool. Sometimes the female regulars get a little handsy but their boy friends or husbands are always right there to slow their roll. As for the drinks, they are on point. The bartenders are chill and really try to make you feel at home. The«tough guys» are few and far between while most of the regulars are really just chill people.

So lets first paint the picture. Its a DIVE bar for locals. You get exactly that, no more no less. But lets be honest, who goes to a bar cause its posh? Probably posh people… but I like stiff drinks and good people. Since i bring the people with me, is only plus is that the bartender Jaimie is super sweet and gives us awesome service and is easy on the eyes too! :p She treats us like regulars which is nice. Also, you can order food from the pizza place next door and the will deliver to the bar. I’ve been told the philly cheesesteak is awesome. If you’re having a hard rime finding it, just to past the weinersnitchel drivethru in the parking lot.

Very cool, clean atmosphere for a bar. Darts, pool, and other machine games were available. Love the bartender because she keeps you company and ask if you would like anything for a drink, so of course, a good checkup is nice for a customer. Everything there is just chill. Tonight was my first night going into that bar and the sign that says«no smoking» just made the bar even better and not dirty. 4 tvs for different sports. what more can you ask for?

Another dive bar where the drinks cost too much. There are a couple cute bartenders, but it’s a neighborhood hang-out where the chance of meeting someone special is about 4−9% There are a lot of LOUD drunks in there at times — and the owner is a conceited jerk who talks down to everyone — that’s why I don’t go there — and it’s walking distance…

Divey. Friendly. Cheap. A really large glass of beer was only $ 5.25. The bartender checked in on us while we were playing pool. She cleaned up our round and brought us out another one. I felt like royalty. The other patrons were really friendly. I’d come back on a night I was feeling low key.

This is our favorite bar. Its clean, fun, and friendly. The bartenders are cool, and fun to chat with. The music is good, but not TOOTOO loud like some bars. People who go there are always friendly, too. You’ll love the Red Dog. Give it a try.

Let’s put it out on the table. This bar used to be deemed«The Beaver Pond,» and it came complete with beavers(the human sort, not the Animal Planet type) painted in iridescent colors on the walls(;) Drinks flow, service is pretty good, depending on the day and time. Particular bartenders pay attention to you, some do not. Tina and Freshy are great. Don’t expect anything but the TRIEDANDTRUE dive bar atmosphere. Pool is a mainstay, IFYOU’REGOOD. Be careful, the hustle is on at any hour. The current owner used to own Rustlers on Paramount before it got shut down by the City. You can find all types here, old, young, drunk and drunker. But, if you play it cool and are the friendly type, you can fit in after a couple of go-rounds. Say«Hey,» to locals Tiny, Jim, and Walter! Mention Unilocal, and you get a free drink from these boys. Tell them Mikey sent you. They’ve got a great juke box. Be on your game, and don’t mess around. Friendly folk, but with an attitude.
