Worst service ever!!! Stood at the bar for 10 minutes, while they were cleaning up. When they never announced last call although it was 1am on a Friday night. First time and never coming back

At first sight, you wonder if it’s safe to park your car out there, of course only if you end up having to park your car in the back. But if you’re looking for a place with good taste in music and not a lounge«dress to impress» but rather to have a laid back good of a time, this is your spot. Drinks were good… not over the top fancy, but good! Security and staff were super friendly. Venue: tight in quarters when on the dance floor, and hot(i don’t think they have an AC on the side of the dance floor). I wonder why not, but did not stop me from dancing to the good tunes. They have pool tables, outdoor sitting out front(closes at 10 on Sats.) and back outdoor sitting, for the smokers. Meanwhile i’m venturing out new lounges, I’ll visit this lounge again!

Celebrated my husbands birthday here this past weekend. Reserved the dining area for a large party(50 +) and am absolutely satisfied with the service, appetizers, music etc. ordered a few Party platters and they were all delicious and set up in a buffet style by the DJ area. Also ordered Jalisco Maid punch bowl and jt was a hit! Two of our friends ordered two more as they couldn’t get enough of this tequila punch. around 10pm some of the tables in the area were pushed back a bit to make area for dance floor. DJ was good and the celebration was great overall. I highly recommend this place to have and host celebrations. Our waitress was super friendly, accommodating and constantly checked on us to make sure we were okay on drinks throughout the night. Will definitely come back to celebrate my own birthday in a couple of months!

Went there this past Monday while watching the NBA finals. Got there about early in the second quarter. Was there to have drinks, some appetizers, and some dinner salad. I do not know what the bartender’s problem was, but he(male) seems to be more interested in everybody else around me. Some of the worst service I’ve received in a long time. Took 20 minutes to get a drink. Then it took the end of the 3rd quarter to get the appetizers, and the dinner salads did not come until the game was almost over. The problem may have been that they were busy because of the NBA finals, but that’s no excuse. The food’s still different and unique 4 the type of place Roxanne’s is, but was highly disappointed.

This place was good. Good drinks but showed up too late to try any food. I went on a Sunday and it was pretty dead(which was kinda cool and relaxed). There’s a pool table inside so me and a couple of friends were able to shoot pool without having a long wait. They have a phone booth inside that leads to another secret club called the Exhibition Room. If you make reservations, it would make for an awesome birthday gathering! I’ll be going back here.

Great atmosphere and friendly bouncers, but definitely a spot for overpriced drinks. I was here on a Sunday after a dodger game, and the place was empty.

I give the establishment a one review based on the fact my husband and I weren’t even granted the ability to enter. It should be a zero star review. My husband and I had just come from dinner at Michael’s in Naples and were meeting friends for a birthday celebration. We were dressed nicely(sweater over a collared shirt and pants for him; long maxi dress for me) but were denied entrance because he had Rainbow sandals on. Nowhere on the website or Unilocal does it mention a dress code and the attire listed is «casual». We surpassed casual! If you want to have a better clientele than the previous Green Dog, clarify your dress code rules before denying patrons who comply with what’s advertised. Poor service and rude bouncers.

Very nice ambience and good music. My night here was a over all good time despite the mix up from tapping the wrong keg with cider instead of Stella although i did get a discount on my next purchased drink for the inconvenience. It should have been on the house i would have gave another star ;-p

We had such a great time here on a Saturday night for a friend’s birthday in March! I was most impressed that, although we were a group of nine, the server was not only able to serve us all on the patio all night long, but was able to keep our drink orders straight and our checks separated! Impressive! Roxanne’s has some hardworking guys there! I also like that they have a really beautiful bar, a cozy patio with a fountain, and several places to sit throughout the lounge. Roxanne’s is definitely a place you can hang out comfortably with a boo or a group of friends. And they have a dance floor! Other patrons were really there to dance, so that was a lot of fun! I also heard there is a speakeasy in the back, but we were having so much fun on the patio, that we never made it back there. The only downer was the DJ. He kept getting on the mic and talking through every song. This lounge is not that big. No need to hype up the crowd. They’re already having fun and they’re already dancing! Just when the crowd was enjoying a song, we would hear his voice talking over. It was so obnoxious that eventually people started leaving the dance floor. Also, he just started playing bad music for the last hour, and there were often abrupt and awkward transitions between songs. He didn’t seem very experienced at mixing or reading the crowd. The craft cocktails were only okay. Not all that memorable. I tried the guava mojito and the mule, but then switched to plain vodka tonics, which turned out to be better. Didn’t try much of the food, except for a bite of the birthday girl’s pupusa burger. She thought it was such a great idea that she felt she just had to order it. Turned out to be better in theory. The pupusa was bland and didn’t really add anything to the burger and didn’t have any yummy filling like all good pupusas do. One great thing to know is that they have happy hour EVERYDAY3 – 7PM, and I love that! I wish more places had weekend happy hours. Overall, our great service and the cute ambience of this lounge will bring us back.

Have come here several of times. The appetizers are good, the happy hour used to be good the prices went up so its just okay now. 7 $ for a «craft cocktail» as a happy house price is kind of expensive when it’s just mediocre. Unfortunately there is always once server I always get lucky and get. She never knows what is going on and just is all around kind of Has a attitude. She doesn’t know the specials or anything yet is always there so I think she should pick up a menu from time to time to read what they have. Basically the place is okay if you come at the right time, and the right time is when your lucky. It’s cool if you live close by but I wouldn’t travel far to get here it’s not really worth it. Disappointed because I want to like this place but they always let me down. Last time I was here I had a flying my drink and they charged me more just to make me another drink. Like please? Correct your bad service not charge me more

The PROS Great food Great cocktails Great weeknight vibe Great bartenders(during the weeknights) pretty good happy hour. The CONS waay to crowded on weekends. Rough crowd on weekends quality dips when they get really crowded. Parking Overall, you’ll have a good time. If you come on week nights with friends, you’ll have a great time. If you come on the weekend, just be ready for the young and dumb crowd. This is a cocktail bar and restaurant. If you stick to cocktails and food you’ll be alright.

I’d driven by before, and just assumed it was an average dive bar, so I was confused when I got an email that an informal alumni gathering was happening there, until I looked it up — turns out it’s your average dive bar from the outside, but a proper nice cocktail bar with a full menu and everything inside. During the course of the gathering, I tried: * The happy hour pupusas(6 dollars), which were good, but not amazing — I’ve definitely had better for cheaper at hole-in-the-wall pupuserias. Could’ve used more cheese. * The happy hour empanadas(6 dollars), which were, again, good but not amazing, and kinda small. * Still a bit hungry, so I also ordered happy hour sliders later(also 6 dollars), which were definitely the best of the food I tried. Sliders were legit — I’d absolutely get their sliders again if I were ever back. They were also the most filling. * A happy hour drink I don’t remember the name of, which was, again, good but not amazing. Could tell it used fresh juice, but it wasn’t that exciting. * One not-happy drink for like 11 bucks. Their happy hour drink menu is really simple — their regular cocktail menu is full of wonder. I can’t find the drink menu online, but it was tequila, chocolate and chipotle — it was smooth and just the right amount sweet, though admittedly I thought it could have been a bit more peppery than it was. Still, legit — I’d absolutely try more of their interesting cocktails, though not too often, given the price tag. Service was great the whole time we were there, even though by the end we were a group of like a dozen people taking up a big table and not ordering that frequently for a couple hours right during dinner time.

One of the best bars in Long Beach, very beautiful interior decoration, the best and most friendly, professional bartenders, the best drinks, and the best food. I love this place! The Pastrami quesadilla is a one of its kind, and is delicious!

Interesting place. Cool vibe with a divey edge(pool table in the back and some dancing up front). The drinks were nice(not exactly cheap, but given the type of cocktails they mix, I can understand the $ 12/cocktail). I’d give it more stars but when my boyfriend ordered a Makers Mark 46 manhattan, he received it without a cherry garnish(NBD) but instead he had a small fly floating in his cocktail. Thank goodness the bar lit the glass up from the bottom so he noticed before imbibing. The bartender was quick to rectify the situation and remake the drink, but it gave me the heebie-jeebies that a fly made its way into the drink. Aside from that, good service, great menu, and an eclectic mix of patrons.

Another great adventure at Roxannes. Happy Hour is from 3pm-7pm. Check out all the great items on the menu. In my opinion they can use more bartenders cause service can get slow but the quality is still good. Parking can get crazy, but there is plenty of street parking. All in all, I will continue to be a regular.

Tried this place with a group of 3. Bad bad service. Very, very slow and the place was empty on a Monday. Sat down at a table. Had to get up and ask for menus after waiting. Had to ask for the table to be cleaned. Still overwhelmed the 1 employee. The kitchen forgot an entrée and after waiting I actually had to get up and ask for it. By then everyone else ate. 9 dollars for a Stone IPA beer? 8 bucks for a Stella? Didn’t comp anything for the forgotten about entrée either. For a dive-ish bar it was expensive. Had to get up and ask for my check. That alone took over 10 minutes to turn around and print my tab. Then when questioned about the bill I was told«we don’t set the prices» uh, yea sure. Wont be coming back.

Wow where do I start great staff great service with a speak easy in the back located behind an old telephone booth, very cool! I wanna say so many positive things about this place, but there’s just not enough time right now so I’ll leave you with this. My super gal pal invited my friend Bella and I to attend Tiki Night yesterday. We parked on the street since the parking lot where the restaurant is was full. We walked up the restaurant and the nice security guard checked our ID’s and told us to have a nice time. The interior is super cute, I really like the details with the fancy ceiling tiles. Everything here is super clean and looks new. I had no idea that it has been open for 5 years already. It certainly doesn’t look like it has. Even the ladies room was super clean. My favorite thing here is the secret room in the back behind the phone booth. They were selling tiki merchandise here, everything was super cool! There was a small table for chairs next to the bar and we had a seat. Our lovely server came up right away and handed us a cute Tiki drink menu and came back to get our order. She asked if we wanted the food menu, I had just eaten before so I wanted a small snack. The chicken nachos looked promising so I ordered it. The server brought the nachos over and they were GIGANTIC! The nachos have shredded chicken, melted jack cheese, cheddar and gouda cheese, jalapenos sour cream, guac, mango habanero sauce. All this for $ 8!!! It was pretty delicious.

We came last night for Barrio Funkys 4 year anniversary party which also coincided with Roxanne’s 5 year anniversary party. The drinks were good, the crowd was decent and the music poppin however the bartenders really dampened our groups experience on 3 occasions 1) Bartender(bearded white guy) appeared frustrated when he came to take my order and I kindly informed him to assist the girl next to me who had been waiting much longer. He rolled his eyes and immediately went to the other end of the bar to serve others. I had to wait for him to return back. This increased a usual 10 minute wait to about 15 minutes at the bar. 2) 2 different bartenders(one being bearded white guy) offered to take orders. When we requested 3 waters neither of them confirmed the order and never gave us water. We had to use our empty beer glasses to self serve from the soda machine to the left of the bar to get water and were reprimanded by bouncers who, once we explained why we were using the machine were gracious enough to let us obtain our waters this way 3) End of the night, Bartender(bearded white guy) «LOST» my friends credit card. The following day showed someone actively using the card in Huntington Beach to make purchases so technically card was not«LOST» but given by mistake to someone else(Shady patron) Poor bartender service appears common here after reading additional Unilocal reviews. WILLNOTRETURN

I came in to watch the Orange Bowl and the atmosphere was nice and mellow. I grabbed a Modelo on tap and the bartender recommended the tamarind bbq wings and the mango habanero. I grabbed six of each and they were great. Definitely be back.

Great place to hang out and chill. The welcome ghosts cocktail is NOJOKE! You think you can hang and DRANK, but you haven’t had one of these. The food is pretty good especially the spinach artichoke dip as well as the sliders. They have a patio with waterfall. An area to play pool and yep it gets rowdy. Can I reiterate that welcome ghosts cocktail? Hahaha. I might have to become a regular.

Great look and feel. Everyone was having a great time from the guests to the bouncers. Very pretty inside and amazing music all night long. An elevated dive bar /speakeasy feel. Pool table, décor, and uniforms were on point! Next time hopefully we get the password to go through the phone booth to the speakeasy. Will be back

Have wanted to try this place for awhile. It looks super cool on the inside. My husband and I were there during the day on a Saturday and it was pretty dead. The craft cocktail list is pretty awesome. They had a lot of good selections. I ordered a chicken taco and wasn’t impressed. My husband ended up eating it. I’m open to trying new things but this was more a thai taco(fish sauce). There was so much crema on it that it made the taco soggy and fall apart. My husband got the pastrami quesadilla and liked it. I’d have to check out the menu again but not sure if I’d eat here again. They menu was a little too out there for my taste. I would definitely stop by for drinks. They were delicious.

What’s not to love? I’m not sure how it is at night: the craft cocktails may attract the man buns, beards and skinny jeans, the DJ and tiny dance floor might attract the douchebags, or maybe the old school feel and location brings out the old timers, who knows? We came here on a lazy Saturday… My wife loved the craft cocktails. Here’s a test. Which is the Craft Cocktail, and which is the Vampire Weekend song? Choose 9 of the following(answers below). Age of Consent, Bengali in Platforms, California English, Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa, Come Back to Camden, Diplomat’s Son, Giving Up the Gun, Horchata, Just Like Honey, Like a Ritual, Mansard Roof, Moving Pictures, Obvious Bicycle, Oxford Comma, A Summer Wasting, Taxi Cab, Vapour Trail, Welcome Ghosts. The menu was interesting. I wisely chose the pastrami quesadilla, with diced pickles and dijon mustard. It was so good and filling that I saved half for later. My wife got the papaya chicken taco, which was too sloppy/creamy for her. The girl said she’d take it back or replace it, but I just ate it. That’s usually my answer for everything. The bar lights up, there’s a lounge area, a pool table, juke box, TVs, dining area, and a nice sized patio. Seems like a cool place– too bad it’s not on our part of the city. Answers: Age of Consent, Bengali in Platforms, Come Back to Camden, Just Like Honey, Like a Ritual, Moving Pictures, A Summer Wasting, Vapour Trail, Welcome Ghosts = drinks at Roxanne’s.

Roxanne, damn girl, you too cool! When I walked in there I was like, «Where da drinks at?!» After 3 more pints, I was like where da food at!!! Great bar and atmosphere. It even has a secret speakeasy bar room. Check with the manager/staff for special gatherings. They actually rent it out for events. Friday and Saturday nights are the best nights! Come on in and stop by.

We came here for happy hour and to play some pool. Drinks were good, as well as the happy hour empanadas we had. One big problem: It took FOREVER for the bartender to get our order. It’s hard to be patient when you sit at the bar seeing that the bartender is not doing much; there was even another party but from what I saw, he wasn’t even busy taking care of them. 15 minutes for the bartender to finally come to us and get our drink order. Once we were done, it was still hard to get his attention for the next round of drinks. We figured that our strategy was just to get more drinks by the 3rd round lol. We played pool afterwards and went on our way out. I would come back, but I really hope the service is more attentive!

After indulging in the seductive melodies by the pianist at The Exhibition Room I found myself here. The moment we walked in I was enamored with the music!!! I had not noticed it on my way in and my companion asked when he saw me about the music. I was oblivious. But now the sounds just made me want to move!!! I don’t even know if this place good for dancing but I asked him if he knew how to dance *don’t judge a book by his covers, he isn’t Latino yet he was a much better dancer. I can’t blame my sky high heels, he was a great dancer!!!* No one gave us funny looks lol everyone was enjoying themselves. As we danced salsa merengue and even rock en español people engaged each other some played pool, I knew I wanted to come back. This almost made up for missing out on that salsa cruise I missed out on this weekend. I had a phenomenal time, and certainly be back!!!
