I would recommend Robert. He the best hairstylist I ever have. I have been going to him for years. I would drive an hr to get my hair done by him. He always do a great job. He always make sure you are happy with your looks before you leave. Everyone there is friendly and dog friendly. I have bought my puppy with me and they love her.

Micha is amazing! I got balayage highlights with him, and he did a great job! Highly recommended for anyone with very specific requirements.

Never too hard to get an appointment. Facials? AMAZING. No one touches my eyebrows anymore unless it is Alexis lol. The staff/​owner are super friendly and honest. Can be a little pricey, but worth every penny.

Robert Orgill is my stylist. He is fantastic! He cares so much about the work he does that he takes the time to cut and color your hair right. He also listens and remembers what you told him last time! This is a rarity in today’s world. Great experience!

Of all the things I love about living in Long Beach — and there are many — Robert Orgill is at the top of the list.
Almost four years ago, I moved here from NYC with a nine-​month-​old child and a desperate need for a cut and color. Thanks to a cross-​promotion with a local boutique, I found my way to Robert’s chair and I am never leaving.
Robert is a naturally joyous man – always smiling, giving compliments and exuding positive energy. He knows when I want to talk and when I want to just sit and let someone play with my hair. And best of all: He listens. My hair has never looked healthier or had better color.
As playful as he is, Robert is serious about his profession, always taking classes to learn more and better himself.
Whether I see him behind the chair or in the produce section of the grocery store, Robert is always a person I enjoy spending time with. I feel lucky to have found him and will be giving him my business — and sending friends his way — every chance I get.

I adore this place! I get facials from Sidney and he is just an expert when it comes to knowing and understanding your skin. He helped me understand what is right and wrong with my skin and how to fix it with an easy regimen. My skin has always been a struggle to me and when I started coming to Spa Sidney it has improved in just a couple facials. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I was so lucky to find Robert a year ago at spa Sydney. I’ve never been so happy with a stylist. He is very professional and has a passion for hair. I’ve got thick, curly hair which some stylists can be intimidated by – but not Robert. He gives me a great cut and teaches me styling tips. Time flies when you’re sitting in his chair. He has such a fun personality. I am so happy with him that I’ve recommended him to my mom and sister. My mom has fine, thin hair and my sister has wavy hair. Despite all of our different hair types Robert knows exactly how to keep our hair looking great! Thanks Robert!

I have known and heard only WONDERFUL things about Spa Sidney for years. My sister gets regular facials by Sidney and when I moved to the neighborhood, I decided to give myself the gift of a facial a month by Sid. I am so glad I did — what a treat! Sidney is an amazing aesthetician and always uses the way my skin looks as a guide to the type of facial I need at the time and I am always thrilled with the result. He is funny, professional and knows his business. His salon also carries wonderful products (Guinot and Bumble and Bumble). I believe in giving local small businesses MY business whenever possible, so it is with great pleasure that I give this outstanding spa/​salon five stars. Give them a try — you’ll be happy you did!

I purchased a Living Social Deal to try this salon I have driven past a millions times but have never noticed it. Well NOW I am definitely be returning. I have a facial by Alexis and it was by far amazing she has a gift with her hands that immediately puts you into a very relaxed mode. The products she uses Guinot are by far the BEST and the smells of her products are to die for. I walked out feeling 100% and totally rejuvenated.

I recently discovered Spa Sydney and what a treat is has been! My initial visit was a facial by Sydney. Invigorating, cleansing & refreshing. Sydney went into detail about skin care and suggested a few products that I am now using daily!
My second & third visits were with Jeanette. Fabulous massage!!! I had been suffering from a pinched nerve and by the second week… it was completely gone! No more Aleve!
On the third visit and again yesterday I received a haircut from Joseph. I’ve received many great compliments; some stating that between the face products and the haircut I look much younger. (A little color didn’t hurt either!)

This is actually the first review I have ever written… and I actually used Unilocal for the first time ever to find more information about Spa Sidney. I have been coming to Spa Sidney for about two years now, and I am consistently happy with the services and great people at this sunny little salon.
– Skin Care –
During my first visit to Spa Sidney (for a Unilocal haircut special), I met the owner Sidney and took a walk around the salon and learned about the other services offered there. I spoke of my acne and skin woes… worse than it should have been for a 27 year old trying to become a «grown up». The skincare services and products are a bit out of my normal budget, but Sidney promised me that if I went along with his facials and products, in six months I would see significant improvements and in 12 months my skin would be totally improved.
Well, it took some TLC (and a monthly facial, and high-​end product such as Guinot and Jan Marini)… but he was absolutely right! I live away from where I grew up, so when I would periodically return home, I was always complimented on how great my skin was looking and progressing.
The battle my skin waged against me was tamed by Sidney’s high-​tech (and relaxing) treatments and potions. Lately, I have encountered extreme stress and other personal issues to which my skin used to revolt… and we now simply encounter a few skirmishes.
– Hair –
My first visit to the spa was with a friend, Unilocal coupons in hand for haircut specials. I also added some highlights to mine. My friend got a really awesome haircut that totally reflected her personality in her new style. She had her appointment with Max.
I had an appointment with someone named Jackie, if I remember correctly. The color looked great, and the cut was well-​executed… just not exactly what I wanted. I felt like she didn’t really listen to me, despite doing a very good job on the color and cut. She’s probably be a great stylist to go to if you weren’t quite sure what you wanted, but that just wasn’t me on that particular day. ;)
Ever since that initial appointment, I have been returning to get my hair cut by Max and love it. He’s friendly, quirky, and takes his time to cut my hair just the way I like it. He’s been a good coach when I tried growing our my hair, and when I cut it short again. I have gotten color once or twice from Max, and I have been pleased with that too. One thing I like is that I have never felt pressured to buy any product or anything. I’ll ask, «What’s that you’re using?» when my hair is being styled. I’ll get an answer, a few details about it, but none of that uncomfortable up-​selling of things.
So — in short… great facials and skincare strategy, and great cuts. Also a good place for mid-​length and short hair.

Let me start off by saying I was nervous to get my hair cut. Its been years since I’ve gotten a professional hair cut (due to some horrible experiences) but I finally got the courage to get it done.
I got their early and was greeted by the owner who was very friendly and gave me a tour while I waited. He offered me something to drink, gave me chocolate, and gave me the wifi password. What a great way to start.
I was scheduled with Jaime and she did a fantastic job. She listen to my concerns and gave me her advice. I trusted her and I’m glad I did! I had long hair and I went to shoulder length short. I found my new hair stylist! I can’t wait to schedule facials and massages!

I went to Spa Sidney about a week ago and had Alexis do a Bayalage/​ombré on my hair! I absolutely LOVE it! She also was able to fix my layers from a previous salon who made my layers uneven and shorter on one side they are not related to Spa Sidney. I couldn’t be more thrilled and excited! If you need anything find everyone is amazing as well, but Alexis was definitely the best I have had! Thank you so much Spa Sidney!

I love Robert Orgill at Spa Sidney! It is such a quaint spa located right down the street from my house and full of great energy! Robert Orgill is my hair stylist and he is fantastic! He takes such pride in my hair and always does an amazing job. At first he would only do my cuts but my hair was damaged because I was coloring my hair at home. Finally Robert told me enough was enough and my hair had so much potential. He was able to repair and revive my hair. I’m not sure how he perfects his color but I always get compliments! I am so happy and look forward to my monthly appointments. He books up fast so I always make sure to book in advance to get my preferred time slot!

I bought the $ 27 for $ 55 Unilocal deal which is something you can’t pass up. I decided to use the deal for a Brazilian (my very first brazilian!)
The spa is really quaint and bright, and the owner Sidney is very personable and welcoming. Alexis is F A N T A S T I C! I can’t wait to go back and get another Brazilian done.

I’ve tried to find a new place to get my hair and skin taken care of since moving to Philadelphia, but once I knew I was coming back to Long Beach for a vacation, the first thing I did was make an appointment to see Sidney for a facial and Robert for a haircut. They have a new online appointment system on their website that makes it a snap.
Robert continues to do wonders with my hair. He truly is able to communicate with my hair and have a conversation with it. My most recent cut was a little daring for me, and I knew the only person I could trust to do it was Robert. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten so many compliments on a haircut; it continues to amaze me each time I look at it. He was able to give me a cut that does all the work for me; it doesn’t require any product or styling, I can just give it a little tussle or shake it out and everything falls into place. Perfect!
The atmosphere of Spa Sidney is the other thing I really like about coming here. It’s got a real community feel to it, a place where you can feel like you’re hanging out with your neighbors. It’s so refreshing, and I’ve yet to experience anything else quite like it.
