This place is under new management and they’re a lot nicer than the very last owner. Price hasn’t change much but I know it’s just so convenient for me to pick up a few things here and there.

Over priced due to scarcity of available khmer products in the North side of LB. Bought spring rolls today and my wife spotted two strands of hair. Why I’m on Unilocal now. Meat variety little to none everyday. If you’re willing to drive to the East side of Long Beach, you can complete your cuisine in Cambodia Town. This is a last resort market but if you’re willing to settle for less, then this place is it.

Been here alot since we moved back to the north side. I’m glad I don’t have to drive all the way across town to get Asian products. It’s quite small but I like it that way and it’s a block away from us! I always find everything I need there for Asian dishes!

When I don’t like driving down to Long Beach’s «Cambodia Town», I hit up VND Market in north Long Beach. The neighborhood is slightly ghetto and there is usually a homeless man camped out between this market and the coin-operated water dispenser. Although their inventory is small, they carry your everyday southeast asian staple foods – new crop, old crop and sticky rice and stick noodles – both fresh and dry packaged. In the back of the store, there is fresh meat counter and an attendant who will cut or ground to order, frozen foods section and shelf stable meats, like chinese sausage, cambodian fermented sausage, and ballut or duck eggs. Best part about shopping here is that they accept credit/debit cards. I’m not a big fan of asian markets or restaurants that accept cash only… TIP: If you park on the street in front of the store, beware of the crazy drivers who speed down South Street.
