Tastes like they fried their chicken in old oil. Highly disappointed. Workers were decent, the food could be better and fresher.

I’m not sure what the hype is about this place. I ordered Brown rice, the famous Garlic chicken, and Chicken curry. I am not impressed as all very bland and tasteless. Beside the very friendly staff this place doesn’t live up to its number of stars. I had high hopes but was let down.

Ordered the Family Meal for four to go and had a very pleasant experience. The young man who took my order over the phone was very courteous and conscientious. For my three entrée choices I ordered Lemon Fish, Hunan Beef, and Orange Chicken. He politely asked if it was alright to charge an extra $ 2 for the fish. No problem and I appreciate that he didn’t spring it on me when I came to pick up my order. I also asked for crispy noodles to go with chow mein. They were extra, too, but didn’t mind because they cooked up a fresh batch just for me. Huge portion and delicious! The Lemon Fish was the big hit of the night and all the other entrees/sides were hot and tasty. This was my first time ordering from here and I will definitely be back!

This is our local healthy organic spot, family own that carries an awesome vegetarian-vegan and meat eaters a variety of healthy foods with the right balance and a great attitude. The Mom and two son’s are very welcoming and should you be under doctors care with special dietary guidelines this awesome place will prepared it with such a great and positive way of caring not found in commercial spots where you are just another customer. I would like to invite anyone to come and enjoy the natural tastes the organic vegetables offer along with knowing that you are eating from a very clean an sanitize environment. First time here and I can say I really enjoy it. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the New Orleans chicken and the Garlic chicken. What was nice is that they also specialize in vegan food as well. I will definitely be going there again!

WOW!!! After eating at numerous Chinese food places in long beach and being let down by their lack of vegetarian options Wok N Roll really has impressed me! They have a TON of vegetarian options! I got the beef and broccoli and the kung pao chicken! They we’re absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this place for takeout and dining! YUM!

Finally found a good spot to satisfy my vegan son. I really recommend the garlic beef with chow mein(vegan). This place has an ample vegetarian and vegan menu. As well as a regular chinesse food menu. The most exciting part of all is that you can also get vegan cake and ice cream here. Andrew provided us with good customer. We definatily will be coming back.

Foods good but was turned off on how management treated the staff, made me feel uncomfortable. There seems to be some conflict in who’s is in charge. Looks as though the leads are brothers. But the food was really good. I recommend the vegetarian nuggets. It’s a confusing joy to know its not chicken but tastes similar to it.

I’ve been here dozens of times. It’s one of my favorite vegan friendly restaurants in LB. Vegan dishes are always prepared to order. Their slushies and smoothies are great and can be made vegan. I love their food seasoning/taste. I don’t think I’ve ever had an item here I did not enjoy. Definitely more delicious and satisfying than your average Chinese food restaurant.

Been here a few times before I realized that they have a vegetarian menu. Got the Kung Pao chicken and Broccoli Chicken and they were fantastic. In addition, they always make the vegetarian food fresh. I’m so happy that I’ve found this place because I’m in the beginning phase of my vegetarian venture and this place is really helping in keeping my momentum going. Can’t wait to try all of their vegetarian dishes. Their service was quite good. I’m very impressed by this place.

Our 1st time here. Great, quick service. Young girl server was very helpful and knew the menu well! I tried the«Cold Noodles» just to be different and was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was! Cold thin rice noodles with a light seasoning, tipped with a Tomato-Onion-Cilantro Salsa and a little bit of Kim Chee, then you get to add any meat entrée! Sounded unusual to me but ended up being a tasty meal! My hubbie chose a combo meal and got to choose from a variety of dishes from the hot serving buffet. He was pleased with the Garlic Chicken. We will try this again!

This is a cool little vegan friendly spot conveniently located by csulb. I wad in town to check out an apartment with a friend and did a search for vegan food. This popped up and I had to explore it. Inside it looks like a standard chinese takeout spot. Where it differs is the extensive offerings catering to the vegan diet. I went on the recommendation of the owner’s son and went with the pepper«beef» chunks and garlic«chicken» with a double order of chow mein. The«beef» was not my favorite but the chicken was great! Next time I am here I will likely do a double order of the garlic chicken as it is tangy and has a nice texture. I am not usually a fan of mock meat, but this is something I would recommend. Friendly service, good prices and tasty food.

In this particular area it’s hard to find vegetarian/vegan options but I am really glad I found this place! Their egg flower soup is super awesome especially if you are coming down with a cold. The rice is good and food is well seasoned. They also offer boba teas which is always a plus :) For the price, I think this is a great option health, taste, and variety wise.

The service is friendly and the atmosphere is a pleasant place to eat. The food is good – chow mein, fried rice & teriyaki chicken(flavorful and tender). The steamed dumplings were also tasty. Not spectacular in any sense of the word, but adequate and fair enough to return to for lunch or dinner. Now for the reason I gave them 3 instead of 4 stars — the boba milk tea, specifically the Taro Milk Tea. I have to preface by saying that I am very picky about my bobas… I just am… so take it as a harsh criticism if you will. To me, the Taro & the boba itself lacked in flavor. I’m sad to say I didn’t enjoy it. So, food, yes, I will probably return. For boba, I’ll go somewhere else.

Wok ‘n Roll is easily my favorite spot in Long Beach. The city can be a little lacking in vegan options, but this place does something special. It’s LB’s little vegan food gem. The restaurant isn’t entirely vegan, they have a whole vegan-friendly vegetarian menu including ‘meat’ fried-rice or chowmein, a couple of sandwiches, soups, and seriously THEBEST vegan chicken nuggets i’ve tried so far. As for the main options, they pretty much can make you anything off their regular menu as a vegan dish. They use all vegan sauces and prepare all the vegan dishes in a separate part of the kitchen. It’s pretty awesome, I especially like the fact that the vegan food is prepared fresh to order. My relationship with chow mein was rekindled after I crossed paths with Wok n Roll and I LOVE it! It was almost impossible to find it vegan. You can choose between Kung Pao Chicken/Beef, Broccoli Beef, Curry Chicken(one of my favs!), and Garlic Chicken just to name a few. This place takes me back, if you want to indulge on a massive amount of chinese food with no regrets other than you forgot to order the chicken nuggets. GONOW! Just remember, some items aren’t vegan like the fried rice but if you want some meat fried rice made vegan, just ask! They’re amazingly accommodating! [Originally posted 9÷21÷2011 on ]

Ordered a small bowl of chow mein and garlic chicken with a taro Milk tea drink. The noodles were nothing special, much thicker than I usually like them to be. The garlic chicken was decent, again nothing special. What really impressed me was the milk tea. Ive tried a few places and this has to be one of the best places to get it. Haven’t tried enough of their food to really give it a strong review, but based on what I got im going to say that its your typical chinese food restaurant. Im giving it an extra star for their vegetarian and non vegetarian variety, cleanliness and modern décor.

I love their boba milk tea! I know that this is random but they seriously have the best milk tea. I miss going to Wok n Roll ever since I moved away from Long Beach. They had the best food delivery in my area and they were my go-to place to satisfy my hunger :(

Just awful! Went here a few days ago because it’s nearby. I ordered the combo where I could get two entrees and two sides. I got the fried rice and chow mein, along with orange chicken and the New Orleans chicken. The orange chicken tasted like it was dipped in orange juice. If you’re into that, then yeah. The New Orleans chicken was pretty bomb. Went well with the rice. The major problem I had was the chow mein. It ruined the whole experience for me. It tasted awful. If I could describe it(something I’ve been struggling with for the past few days because it was just so gross), I’d say it is like expired + overcooked noodles, with the slimy-ness of a bucket of slugs. I looked at the other reviews and know that I’m not the only one who is disgusted by their chow mein. Seriously, do these people care about their customers and about self-improvement? Even McDonald’s strives to improve to impress people. Even Panda Express has better chow mein and I really don’t like their thin, bland noodles… Forever turned off by this place. Service was very nice though.
