I have had it with this place. They constantly mess up orders and always take forever to deliver. We need another bagel place in LIC to get brick town to straighten up.

Worst service ever. Tons of bodies behind the counter no one helps. They should check out similar bagel joints to understand how to get the line moving. They seem to all just communicate with themselves and not with the customer. Bagels are ok but not worth the wait.

Solid 5 star guys! Here’s the breakdown. Bagels 4 stars + extra star for interior = 5 stars! Went ahead with the usual, everything with CC which is a safe way to go when trying a new bagel spot. Blown away! The bagel is sort of crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. This is the real deal NY bagel here. No rolls with a hole here. They have a plethora of bagels, schmears, and sandwich combo’s for days! Know what you want before you go in because this place is busy and stays busy so no stalling at the ordering counter. The interior is also awesome. Not your typical bagel store. Tin ceiling with matching crown molding which is definitely original to the building. The décor matches the vibe of the place and the paint colors work well with what they’re trying to do. Another thing I noticed was their drink selection which seemed pretty cool. I’d say they had at least 50 different drinks and about 10 different waters ranging from good ol’ Poland spring to some $ 5 hipster water. Looking forward to my next visit.

I really wish I loved this place. Every time I go, I get a blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese and every time it taste like onions and other flavored cream cheese. I think they’re cutting the bagels or spreading the cream cheese with knives that have been used with the scallion and onion cream cheese. It’s gross, especially when you order a French toast bagel and cream cheese. Please make this stop!

What a wonderful place. Great menu, great food, great drinks, low prices, great atmosphere… relaxed, unrushed. Have enjoyed their bagels, muffins, coffee, hot chocolate, turkey chili, eggs. Can’t wait to come back. Wish I lived in the neighborhood

Worst service EVER!!! I’ve never been to a deli or a coffee shop where people are rude and not friendly. But this place is all about bad customer service. The only reason people would come here is because it is the only place near my company that serves food you can grab and go. The staff there need to learn some English and manners.

Bleh! I came here because I had something to do in the area. I walked in and made an order, all I wanted was a whole wheat bagel with scallion cream cheese and a small coffee. There was no order to where you are supposed to go after. I see a bunch of people crowding around the cash register and then heard a girl yelled«who needs to pay next?» So I stepped up and paid for my food. One star because they have almond milk and their coffee doesn’t taste half bad. After I paid, I stood around some more for maybe another 15 minutes. Seriously, how long does it take for you to spread cream cheese on a bagel? After maybe another 5 minutes, they finally called my order out. I went and got it and sat down at one of the tables to eat. After I took my first bite, I almost want to be like«I waited 20 minutes for THIS?» First the bagel wasn’t even toasted and I guess I didn’t tell them or was asked. The bagel tasted chewy and doughy, like it wasn’t cooked all the way. Second the scallion cream cheese tasted like cream cheese with no flavor but you can see pieces of scallion in it. However, even then the scallion was almost flavorless. I was so underwhelmed by this place and the fact that it took so long for a simple bagel just made this place two stars. Also the fact that there was ample parking out front does make it nice.

I’ve stopped by here once or twice to get something to eat so I could continue on the LIC brewery trail that’s opened up in western Queens. I usually just get a bagel and spread, and depending on how much I’ve had to drink/not had to eat beforehand sometimes two. The bagels here are fine but the spread is okay, they have a lot of different varieties but nothing that really stands out except for the jalapeño one. I usually just grab things to go so service is fine, a decent spot.

Bricktown serves up a respectable bagel that satisfies most of bagel cravings. They offer a decent array of bagels(from french toast to whole wheat everything), and your typical schmears and fixings. The bagels are nicely sized, doughy, but still with a decent crust. They also have some lunch-type deli sandwiches if you’re not feeling like eggs or cream cheese. It’s not going to be on any top 10 lists with Ess a Bagel or Black Seed, etc., but it does the trick.

*Sigh* Yes, the bagels are legit, which is why this review is painful to write, but the fact is that in store service at Bricktown is always glacially slow and has now proven itself incredibly rude. MYSTORY: Round 1: Online order delivery of a bagel, cream cheese, lox, onion, tomato. Delivered with chocolate all over the bagel.(See photo) Round 2: I walked over to Bricktown(so much for staying home!!), returned the bagel, waited the requisite 20 minutes, got my new bagel and walked home. Sorted, or so I thought. Round 3: Got home, unwrapped my bagel, and noted that THEYFORGOTTHECREAMCHEESE!!!(See photo). Round 4: Walked back to Bricktown for the second time. Opened the cream cheese-less bagel and asked the cashier what was missing, «Cream Cheese» she said immediately. Then her colleague, identified as VERONICA, walked over and told me that it wasn’t their fault. Dumbfounded, I asked what she was talking about and whose fault was it? Her response, and I quote: «It’s not our fault. You can say what you want, but it’s not our fault. It’s THEIR fault.»(Points to staff in the back, in the kitchen.) That’s right. She threw her back of the house colleagues right under the bus. It was astonishing. I worked in retail for many years and I’ve never seen anything like this. I’m speechless. If you work in the back of the house at Bricktown, please try to find a different job because the front of this house thinks nothing of you!

The food is actually quite good. Normally… This last visit is probably the tipping point. Not only was the Florentine omelette put together like crap, the pricing is always off. No matter what you order, you can pretty much guarantee that the price will be different day by day! Watch the menu board when paying!!!

Hidden breakfast gem? Nah. Cheap prices? Somewhat. Meh-city? Absolutely. The egg sandwich. It’s the breakfast of champions, the perfect on-the-go breakfast, curing hangovers and helping us brace for the day ahead. And while the egg sandwich is far from refined, I appreciate the places that put in the necessary TLC to do justice to this NYC staple. Unfortunately, Bricktown Bagel & Café is NOT one of those places. It’s really such a shame… the eggs are usually burnt and have an unpleasant after taste, while the roll is often hard or stale. And as much as I hate to say it, I almost wish there was a *gasp* McDonalds nearby to get a better breakfast sandwich. It’s not just the egg sandwiches, none of the food here as ever«wow”-ed me or even«hmm this is okay”-ed me. The homemade bagels and cream cheese are FAR below even your average NYC bagel shop standards, the pancakes are often dry and are more chewy than fluffy, and the omelets taste just a step above those at a Denny’s or IHOP. And this will sound crazy given what I’ve said in this review thus far, but I’ve actually ordered food from here on several occasions. It’s like I have some weird form of Stockholm Syndrome with this place. Objectively, it’s pretty terrible, but in my mind I’ve almost convinced myself«it’s not THAT bad» and I keep coming back. I suppose because I live in Hunters Point, I’m a victim of proximity and limited options. Still… My palette and stomach deserve better.

I love their French toast bagels! I get it with they cinnamon cream cheese. The crunchiness from the melted then solidified sugar on the outside just brightens my day up. The girls at the counter definitely know how to take care of you! And it is on the way to the water so you get your awesome breakfast with this amazing view

I’ve been coming here for 7 years now and I’m not sure if this location is under new management or being the only game in town has gone to their heads, but the quality has taken a nose dive over the last year. It seems every time i go now the bagels are WAY overcooked not to mention they’ve gotten significantly smaller. What once was a beacon of soft doughy deliciousness is now barely satisfying. Step up your game Bricktown and have some pride in the NY Bagel.

I actually really love this place and their menu, but I’m deducting seriously 3 stars because they keep cutting the fucking french toast bagels with the same knives they’re using on the bagels that have garlic and onions. They were so good for a while, but for the past couple of months all of my french toast bagels, which are literally THEREASON that I order from here rather than just getting a bagel next door, have tasted like rank ass fucking garlic. Get your shit together guys. I know it’s busy, but wipe off the fucking knife, PLEASE. I’m begging you to just wash your knives. WASHTHEKNIVES. Your grandma’s chicken salad is the tits and generally everything is on point, but you are legit ruining the fucking order with this nasty garlic situation.

Great place for fresh bagels & coffee in the LIC area. They have many different flavors of spreads here but im an OG so pretty much i just get mines with the traditional regular cream cheese, nothing fancy. They do offer flattened sesame bagels which i think is great because not many bagel shops that ive been to have this option. In my personal opinion, flattened bagels are the best because it is alot easier to eat, has less calories(or so it makes me think) & is a whole lot more crunchier! They have a cool lounge area with huge plush sofas & chairs as soon as you walk in. There also conveniently located by the train station so easy to grab a bagel before your morning daily rush into the city madness.
