Stunningly poor service and absolutely no regard for customers. I called yesterday for service due to an ant issue. I was told that we were already due for service that day, but that they would get someone over«as soon as possible». At 4:00 pm I called again, and was told that due to weather, they were delayed, but would be there«first thing in the morning». I call this morning, and speak with«Reggie», who first told me that someone from Orkin arrived here at 11:00 am, and when I informed him that in fact that did not happen, was rude to me. After he argued with me, i contacted another company and called back to inform him that we would not continue using Orkin. «Fine, whatever» They charge too much for shoddy, rude service. Avoid.

I signed up for Unilocal just to review Orkin. They tried to cancel my appointment at the last minute. I made an appointment with Orkin for 12 – 2 p.m. I called what was listed as their NYC line, the number listed on Orkin’s page on Unilocal.At 1 p.m. the day of the appointment, a representative in Orkin’s local office in NYC called me to say that my appointment was scheduled for 3 – 5 p.m. and that no one would be able to make it because they only had one technician working that day. I told her that was unacceptable, and she said that even if I call the NYC line, that is a number in Atlanta not connected to their office, and the person in Atlanta doesn’t coordinate with the NYC branch to schedule appointments. She indicated she would try to find someone to come, and I told her to call me ASAP to let me know if a technician would come or if no one would be able to come. I then called the number Orkin listed as their supposed NYC line again. I was put on hold for about 15 minutes while the Orkin representative called the NYC office. When the representative came back on the phone, he had nothing new to share and could not give me any sort of time frame for when I might get a response. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and he again put me on hold for about 10 minutes only to come back on the phone and say that a supervisor would call me back. A supervisor never called me back. The representative at the local office never called me back either. An Orkin technician did call me around 2:30 to say they were coming, but by that time, I was fed up and had found someone else to help me. I was offered no rebates, discounts, or other incentive to try to stay with Orkin and even if I was, I would not want to deal with their awful customer service and disorganization.
