another cute shoppe in downtown los altos specialising in unique gifts and stationery. they carry everything from blank journals to soft plush toys to greeting cards. this is also a great place to pick up seasonal items (i.e. halloween, thanksgiving, christmas). price-wise, they are a bit pricier than what i usually see in similar stores, but i also think that quality and style are better at this store.

So much stuff! You can find gifts for every occasion (no matter what time of year)! Christmas presents in June? No problem. Halloween trinkets in March? Check the sale section!
While you’re there, check out the huge selection of jade jewelry! My Girlfriend loves it, she’s purchased a couple of rings, earrings and bracelets from there already! So stylish!

I’ve been a loyal BK customer for years and am only now, Unilocaling about it! Every time I need something special, I come to BK and consult the knowledgeable staff. I recently visited with the BF and we picked up a pair of hand-made, frosted drinking glasses. Sure, it was 3 years late but it was the perfect wedding present that suited the young couple beautifully! Better late than never…

It was the 1^st time I visited this shop and I was attracted by their jade jewelries. I liked a white jade pedant which was marked as «old jade, 1940». The owner promised to me that it was a real chinese jade from Xinjiang. So I bought it happily and take to my jewelry store to add an 18 k gold bail. I was then told by my jeweler that the pedant was not a real jade, but a cheap stone called «candy jade»!
I am really sad because I was told at the purchase that all jade sales were final (non-returnable and non-exchangeable). I am not sure if the owner of the store really knows about jade and did everything by purpose (or just misled by her supplier). But for sure, I will not go back to the store.

This is the gift shop I go to first when I need something nice for a birthday, anniversary, shower, holiday, etc. For example, I’ve purchased unique jewelry, a leather photo frame for a special photo, and metal salad tongs shaped like 60’s flowers. Christmas/Hanukkah and Halloween are particularly fun, although they always have new seasonal items so if Valentine’s day is your favorite, they will have something nice. They have ornaments, dolls, and lots of interesting home décor items. The service is excellent, they wrap the gifts quickly and nicely. If you live near Los Altos, it’s worth a trip to see if they share your taste — I highly recommend BK.

I thought that this is a cute store but nothing to write home about! The store is filled to the brim with things coming out from every corner, drawer, tabletop.
Things in there are pretty expensive as well.

Looking for the «smart» or «different» gift? BK Collections has art, jewelry, some clothing, and all kinds of items suitable for that special gift. A lot of the work is Asian-inspired which I especially like. Worth the trip to Los Altos.
