Impressive inventory of Judaica toys. I also liked their assortment of jewelery and books, especially the ones for new students of Judaism. I bought some items for my Sunday School and will be back in the future. Not quite as homey as Afikomen in Berkeley, but then I’ve only been here once maybe it will become homier if I visit more.

This is the place to go for any Jewish item. They have a large assortment of books on any subject you can think of. There is also a wide variety of Menorahs, Sedar plates, and things of that nature. There’s also a little corner with toys to keep your small children busy while you look. That was an especially nice feature for me because my toddler wanted to pick up and touch everything in there.

They have a book call«Five Little Gefiltes.» How can you not love them. You want to know anything Jew, go there. They have a magazine with all the Jewish happenings in the area. What to learn about the heritage; make a Passover Seder; maybe even find the Jew of your dreams. Bob and Bob can help. On Christmas Day, they sang Jewish songs of love all day! How great is that. Even if you’re a gentile, you need to walk in to the store just to see the offerings. The staff is soooo loving it’s crazy. G-D bless Bob and Bob.

Looking for the perfect Bar Mitzvah gift? A Seder plate? A copy of the latest scholarly work on some esoteric Jewish subject? A copy of the latest compilation of Jewish jokes?(Q: How many Jewish grandmothers does it take to change a light bulb…) You’ll find all that and lots more at Bob and Bob, the Peninsula source for Jewish stuff of all kinds. Books, music, jewelry, Kosher wines(hey, not all of them are bad!), art, and even chocolate. The store was in downtown Palo Alto for years before moving early this year to a new location near Elephant Pharm and Whole Foods. What’s different? There’s parking now. What’s the same? A helpful staff that can guide you even if you don’t know a bagel from a bialy. Oh yeah… A: None. I’ll just sit here in the dark.
