I inherited a Grandmother wall clock many moons ago. It was kept in storage for several. I brought my clock to Mohr Clocks several years ago and it was repaired for their minimum fee. I took the same clock in as it wasn’t working. Norman kept it overnight and didn’t even charge us as he got it working by adjusting the sound. It had been on silent for 4 years and it’s working beautifully. I will always return for any service or new purchases. Thanks Norman we appreciate you.

Some people seem unhappy with Mohr Clocks but I am a satisfied customer. I brought my big wall clock in after having someone in San Jose«repair» it for a heftier fee and it just stopped working again. Mr. Mohr replaced the battery and said the problem was due to acid build up but he agreed to hang on to the clock for a few days to make sure nothing else was going on. I picked it up today and it was still working. He charged me a minimal fee and gave me advice about how to store batteries(plastic bag in frig). I wouldn’t say he’s warm and fuzzy; just to the point which is a style I like. I’d go back.

Had my double birded cookoo rebuilt here ions ago! Great knowledge, service and guarantee. If I still had that clock I’d bring him back for a tune up! This place has been here forever!

My husband purchased his first Mohr clock over 45 years ago. He sadly lost ownership of that prized grandfather clock to his former wife. Shortly after our marriage(over 40 years ago), he purchased an even better clock– just like he chose an even better wife :-) Mohr Clock drove the 40 miles to install our heirloom treasure and have provided assistance for two moves since then. The 1989 Loma Preita earthquake nearly shook our clock to the ground(and, still we haven’t strapped it to the wall!). Norm drove to our house, removed the mechanisms, took it to his store for a clean and oil and then reinstalled our beloved clock back to perfection(other than the dents on our brass weights from the violent shakes of the earthquake). We have also purchased a beautiful, one-of-a-kind grandmother clock, a desk clock and a graduation gift from Mohr over the years. I read the other reviews and had to laugh… Mrs. Mohr truly can come across as grouchy at times. She reminds me of my Russian grandmother«from the old country.» Because Mohr Clocks is the rare, family-owned business, I always call before showing up. Family emergencies can result in the store being unexpectedly closed. I promise you, I AMNOT A FAMILYMEMBER nor do they give me a special discount for this review. We are loyal customers because they have earned our loyalty over the decades. If you are looking for your own keepsake treasure or a very special gift, this is the place.

One word, rude. I have not had such poor customer service in years. Nothing about the experience was good. I ended up asking for my watch back and took it to a different store for service.(Where I got great service and a polite and friendly staff) Go to M&S watch repair in Mt. View.

Well I drove an hour to get here in traffic to make sure I reached the store on time. I was there 5:28pm sharp only to find the store closed. Their website says closing time is 5:45pm and the board on their door says 6pm. This is not the way to run a business and I wasted a lot of time today for no reason.

In a digital age, I enjoy having a classic analog clock and supporting a local business that’s been around for a long time. We’ve bought three clocks from here over the years(two circular wall clocks and a simple, classic analog night stand clock). Reasonable price and selection. Knowledgeable, straight forward, and nice people. They’ve got cuckoo clocks, grandfather clocks, mantle clocks, ships clocks, travel clocks, and watches too, but we’ve only purchased the mostly basic, classic wall clocks. Haven’t needed any repairs on our clocks, but they did replace a watch battery for me once.

I came here because I needed my watch battery replaced. My first impression was, how is this place still up and running? The store is filled with clocks of different kinds… very expensive too! Anyways, I rang the bell and an old couple came out to see what I wanted. I quickly gave them my watch to have the battery replaced. The man took it to the back and the lady didn’t really say much. Needless to say, they seemed a little grouchy. Perhaps it was because a young person just brought them a Movado to put new batteries in? Who knows. The battery replacement cost me $ 12 — a little on the pricier side but I had nowhere else to go. At least they did it quickly!

I bought my grandfather clock here a decade ago and I’ve visited many times since to purchase other clocks and watch batteries. They do their work on the premises. Very few places actually do this. Very few places have this many beautiful grandfather clocks on display.

Just had my grandfather’s antique cuckoo clock refurbished at this shop. Work was excellent and clock was ready as promised in two weeks. Price was very reasonable compared to a quote I’d gotten at another shop. It’s great to have a piece of my childhood back in operation. I plan to have him repair another clock soon, and won’t hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone. They also have a wide variety of clocks for sale.

Visited this place this past weekend, and it was awesome. Best clock store we have seen ever(in all of the U.S.). This is a serious clock and timepiece store. My husband and I have been eyeing a nice clock for over 10 years now, and never happened upon a store that looked serious enough to get our business. We have checked things out online, but never wanted to take the risk on non-brick-and-mortar dealings when it comes to clocks, considering the large pricetag we expect and maintenence we expect to have to do down the line. Upon walking in I saw many many more grandfather clocks(all magnificent) than I think I have ever seen in once place at a time. Then I saw a bunch of beautiful handcrafted Black Forest cuckoo clocks in the wall. This place also apparently services antique clocks, another plus. I expected to pay exhorbitantly for the clock we picked out, but was pleasantly surprised that their prices are actually very reasonable. Called them just now with a question, and found(1) they were actually open this early in the morning,(2) the guy really knows his stuff — clocks and timekeep-devices,(3) they guarantee all their stuff, so you know your purchase her is not going to be any risk. Love this place, I give it an A+ !
