5 Minute Bowl

I came here for lunch because I work nearby. Ate alone because I didn’t have a lunch companion that day, but it’s A-​OK because it’s in a food court and nobody bothers you or stares at you.
I got the Bulgogi Dupbap, which comes with 4 different sides and miyukgook (seaweed soup). It’s not the most amazing thing but for $ 6.99 + tax, it’s a pretty awesome deal! It was piping hot and fresh and I’d say my order did really take only 5 minutes.
I’ll definitely be back for more lonely lunches haha~

There is no doubt about it… This food court eatery offers a large selection of Korean food without breaking your bank account. The taste and flavor… They are solid. I mean… Think of it as one of your aunt’s cooking, just not your favorite aunt. Get it?

Deal central right here. $ 8 for soon tofu soup with banchan fixins & rice is a-​ok with me. May not be Beverly Tofu house caliber but it does the job.

Frist time coming to this Galleria market. Went around 8 ish hoping that they weren’t close. And luckily it wasn’t!
My friend and I ordered Dduk bok kki and dduk mandoo gook! We were very shocked that they taste really good. a good place to go to quickly eat somthing at night. A plus they open till 9 30 I believe.

Nice cheap Korean food in a Korean mall in Korean Town in the middle of LA. Price is just right. Quite a crowd during lunchtime and dinner.
There are other food dishes to try if you like.

For the price and the food over its pretty good. I had the bulgogi dub bab and it came with 4 side dishes and soup. They give you plenty of side dishes so you don’t have to keep asking for more. It also came with a small bow of seaweed soup. They give you enough portion (a little bit of everything) to leave happy and full.

I love 5 minute bowl! I wouldn’t really say its food is amazing but for the price, time, and simple convenience its a good package. It usually takes over 5 minutes to get your food, but not really that much longer.
Try B3 (Yukgaejang) or C3(this ones my favorite!)
Their Naengmyeon is just ok though, I wouldn’t really order that.
Oh and you get a cute little lunchroom style platter of banchan thats always changing.
If you need a quick fix and some groceries stop in here.

I’ve come here several times for both lunch and dinner. It’s a great place to grab some food on the go while you visit the market that it’s attached to. The food is always good and affordable. The servings are generous and they even refilled my panchan. It’s also centrally located and has a free parking garage.

I usually come to the plaza where this spot is located on Wednesdays with friends, and this is my go-​to place for food.
It’s not too heavy on the wallet and most of their entrees can feed two or more people (depending on how much you eat). They also give a good amount of banchan with your order.
My personal favorites would have to be their braised beef stew (very flavorful and the beef is cooked to tender perfection), spicy tofu soup (you can customize the spiciness), and the short rib soup.

Nothing over the top and kinda pricey for what you get.
Meh.

This place serves VNS chicken. I was getting a bit frustrated because I was searching VNS chicken and this 5 minute bowl kept popping up but I have confirmed it exists.
My favorite dish from VNS chicken is the spicy chicken. The sauce has the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spice. Make sure you order 15 minutes in advance when you to-​go because they always take forever. Their prices also increased by $ 3! I remember when it was $ 9.99 for a whole chicken and now it’s $ 12.99. That’s a pretty big increase considering it’s only chicken and sauce. Whatever, I’d still keep coming back because I’m addicted.

Husband and I were stopping by the Galleria Market to pick up groceries and thought it wouldn’t hurt to try one of the food court options before doing any shopping. We’d never heard anything particularly good about the food court offerings there, but hey, we hadn’t heard anything bad about the place either.
Provided two choices, «Shanghai Bowl» and «Five Minute Bowl» (aka «Vons Oven Chicken» — whaaaat?), my husband gravitated toward the latter. We were in the market for some mediocre bulgogi over rice, and figured, «How bad could it be?» Husband also ordered the cold noodle soup because it was super hot yesterday. Again, how bad could it be?
Um, BAD. Let’s just say we made a wrong turn and «Five Minute Bowl» was far from tasty town. We would’ve been better off purchasing prepared food from the supermarket. The bulgogi over rice was accompanied by a styrofoam tray of banchan (kimchi, radishes, seaweed, and omelet). Not a single item was delicious, the bowl itself was bearable but was more like a massive bowl of soggy rice topped off with onions, strands of glass noodles and enoki, and beef «bits». Hospital food served at the Good Samaritan is better than this. As for the cold noodle soup, don’t get me started. A bowl of noodles floating in diluted pickled ice water topped off with scoops of shredded cucumber, shredded radish and a hardboiled egg. Not delicious.
And for the record, these bowls of «what did we order» took fifteen to twenty minutes… Not five…

Just okay. The teriyaki chicken was on the dry side. I expected a bit more flavor after the sizzling presentation. My dish came on a bed of onions with a side of rice and the usual side condiments. Ehh! Won’t try this again.

For a place called 5 minute bowl, you expect it to be service that reflects the name but not really so. Nevermind though, the food is good and comes out at a acceptable amount of time.
Came to pickup a quick meal to-​go with my brothers.
I ordered 2 spicy pork ribs thinking that when my brother said the one portion was big enough to share he was maybe banking on a light dinner. I didn’t eat the whole day so I ordered my own and was surprised he wasn’t lying. The to-​go bowl was filled to the top with stew, and I got to half before saving the rest for later.
The flavor itself was spicy and good. The braise on the ribs were good, they were tender and flavorful. There was a few rice cakes thrown in there as well. It came with rice, some seaweed soup, and banchan of cabbage kimchee, radish kimchee, seaweed and fishcakes. For $ 7.99 it’s a solid, heavy meal.
I also got a Korean pancake thinking it wasn’t enough but we had way than enough food. It was just OK, it was a bit greasy as far as mung bean pancakes go.
For a fast food type joint, this was a solid meal with leftovers. The pork tasted even better the next day when it soaked all that spicy sauce in.

Being located in the Galleria makes it perfect to grab actual dinner and shop for future dinners :)
Ordered the spicy braised chicken. The chicken is sooooo soft and the carrots, you can cut them with a fork. I’ve also had the soy sauce one too. The spicy one does have a little kick but it’s not too spicy. The soy sauce one has really good flavor. It comes with some side but they can vary from week to week. It also comes with rice. The food court is always kept clean with plenty of seating.

Read through my reviews and you’ll know when it’s a hot day I’m always craving naeng myun. Bf and I decided to get some fresh air and walk to the Galleria Mart Food Court. For being fast food, it was a little bit pricier than we expected – our total bill was almost $ 25. It was a good amount of food, but not really enough for leftovers. Plus you order at the counter and pick up your food yourself.
Like many people have said, it’s no where close to 5 minutes! It took our food about 15 minutes. Overall I liked the broth and the casual atmosphere, I may go again.

I had lunch here after visiting the market. I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Over Rice. Yes it took more that 5 minutes but I didn’t mind at all. I picked up my order after my buzzer went off and brought it to my table. There was plenty of food and it was good & hot. The service was fast & friendly!

This was right before I got the flu and I wanted something comforting which is hard to find when your surrounded by fast food in my work area, I used my Unilocal app and found this place and realized it’s a block away in the Korean market by my job.
Off my coworker and I went. Initially what attracted to me to this place was the picture of ramen noodles… and a picture does say a thousand words. I ordered the ramen bowl with rice cakes (didn’t know what rice cakes where) regardless!
We ordered our food, was given a beeper and in about 5 – 7 minutes our order was ready and BIG. I could swim in that bowl, enough that I had leftovers for dinner.
The service is nice and friendly, the food is fresh to made since I burned my tongue and prices are very wallet friendly.

We stumbled across 5 Minute Bowl after looking for a quick lunch at the Galleria. From the name, it sounded like a place to get a quick fix of Korean tofu soup.
I ordered the spicy tofu soup with pork. It was served with four banchans with rice included. The portion of the tofu soup was perfect. It had lots of vegetables in it, so thumbs up if you like veggies. Also, if you like spicy, make sure you order the spiciest option possible. I ordered «spicy» and it was not spicy at all.

Went here for lunch on a week day. This is located in a food court in the Koreatown Galleria. There is nice outdoor patio adjacent to the food court if you want a quieter ambience.
I ordered the Spicy Soft Tofu Soup. It arrived boling in a cast iron bowl complete with rice, and banchan (small dishes like kimchee, radishes, etc.) The soup was tasty but not as spicy as I had imagined it to be. Next time I will make sure they add enough spice. Maybe they thought because I wasn’t Korean it would be too hot? There were a couple clams, shrimp with the heads on, and mussels sans the shells in the soup. The tofu was soft and the trick to eating it is to get a small spoonful of rice and dip that into the soup.
The kimchee was nice and garlicky. I actually ate all the banchan as well. Very good for $ 6.99! I imagine the galleria gets pretty busy on weekends so I would just go here on weekdays.
