Typical neighborhood bar. I stopped in here after work one afternoon and there were a few locals who all seemed to be familiar with each other. The bartender was chatting with them, but still found the time to be attentive and serve me(how often do you go to a place where the staff is having such a good time talking to a few customers that they forget about other customers, right?).

A dive in the truest sense. I love it! Popcorn and slightly rude staff make this place feel like your in a gritty movie, but in all the best ways. Taco nights are authentic and delicious.

Monday nights you can play in a pool tournament or just have a drink. Thursday they do tacos. Buy a drink and get a lip smacking delicious taco, and if you love tacos then you need to come try these. Buffalo trace $ 9, thank you I’ll take that. Play pool for $ 0.50 cents, yes I will do that. And free pool everyday from 12 – 4!!! Next up I will have to watch football here and do a whiskey and beer tasting. Experience, so far so great.

This bar was just what I needed. I needed a place I can chill after work, have a conversation and have a drink. Nothing too crazy but still can enjoy myself. Cozy bar in a small shopping center, pool table in the middle of the bar, awesome jukebox choices and some pretty cool craft beers.

Love this place! Staff super cool and real, locals are great people to hang out with, the bartender always puts the tv on what you want to watch. You can bring your dogs!!! They love dogs here! Best tacos on Thursday nights, 1 beer gets you 1 taco! If you’re a regular sometimes they will sneak you an extra ticket! Best local dive bar ever! Recommend for sure. They have one pool table too.

This«bar» is a single room with 1 – 3 dusty pool tables and 20 – 30 unemployed guys living off the state’s unemployment compensation proceeds. This is one of the worst bars I’ve ever seen in Los Angeles. This place is dirty, cramped, dingy, old, and just out-of-place in the Los Angeles bar scene. Take one look at the«regulars» at this bar and you’ll immediately hug your mom & dad for teaching you the importance of getting an education. It’s hard to figure out what’s worse, the overpriced drinks at this place or the alcohol mixed with Pine Sol odor emanating from the bar area. If you like this bar, it means you probably also like bars in Tijuana, Juarez, Guadalajara, and Oaxaca. This bar is probably a great«hangout» if you’re eagerly awaiting the results of your GED exam, keep your fingers cross bro, 3rd time’s a charm.

I am all for dive bars with a great juke box and this place delivers. Has a pool table too. The lack of a star was due to the drunk LMU students who don’t know how to play monopolizing the pool table. There was a posse of them and they all put their names on the board but the same people kept playing. They also thought it was cute to freak the corner of the table hoping to lure the attention of the opposing player.(Haven’t you seen Mystic Pizza, the cool chick(Julia Roberts) shows off by playing fierce pool.) Duh, pool first freak later, like in your dorm room. Etiquette please! The barista(a youthful Asian, forgive me if I am wrong?) was amazing. She tended to us like we were the only peeps there. She makes a stiff drink, just the way I like it. Plenty of parking.

Classic local dive. Locals flavor. Unpretentious. Cool bartenders. Friendly patrons. Sports on tv. Music varies but rarely annoying and not too loud. Taco Thursdays is great! Seriously, don’t be some rich kid hipster douche with no character and come here. You won’t fit in. Real people only.

Awesome dive bar with a small town feel. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming from the bartenders to the owners. The drinks are amazingly cheap. and not to mention all their events. Check out their Taco Thursday! Buy a drink & get a free taco!

First time there was last Friday. I would not call this place SUPER divey. It is a dive, but I have seen far divey-er(tattle tale, scarlett lady). Pulled in there on a whim after Mexican food. It was a great find. Everyone was super friendly and the bartender(Kelly) was awesome. Just drank beer and shots, so I can’t speak to the mixology. Although Pool seems to be the happening thing here, the locals and regulars don’t mind fresh blood. Nice place and I will be back.

I used to come here back in the early 2000’s to play pool and watch games. I stopped because the place got weird, the pool table got jankey, and i was just over the beer/wine only thing. That was then. I recently learned they got their liquor license under new ownership and checked it out. They really do it right now! The atmosphere is clean, pool table is kept nice(and sticks straight), neighborhood bar prices with high end options(which i like because i can be a booze snob sometimes). But the bartenders/owners really make the difference. It’s a welcoming, friendly environment now, and the owner is often here making sure everyone is having a good experience; and available to customers(like me) if we have feedback. All in all, it’s a great local bar in an area that need one, and I’ll keep coming back.

They just got their liquor license. Jameson for all! I recently went here for my friend’s birthday celebration. It’s a dive bar that’s located literally down a street from where my boyfriend and my friend lives, so needless to say, they’ve been here a few times before. I wasn’t so sure about going to their regular bar for a birthday celebration, but he wanted to keep it close and casual. Best decision ever. I’m not much of a bar-type person, but I was surprisingly comfortable and at ease the entire time that we spent here. The place is small, but there’s plenty of seating because it’s never quite packed of people(we brought in a lot of people that night, though). There are a couple TV screens in there so that you can watch the game, and the owners/bartenders will always change the channel for you. NOTE: This place is a 49er’s bar. Come dressed in 49er swag! Bartender has a great pour, and drinks aren’t too expensive anyways. I might have to call in ahead of time sometimes and request Jell-O shots, those things are delicious here. Don’t expect them there every day, but if you happen to come in on one of those special days, they are delicious! Everyone who goes to 90 west and everyone who works there is awesome. I couldn’t ask for a better dive bar just a few minutes’ walk away. Also, try the jukebox out. It’s a good time.

The 90 West is a great destination bar for quality times with diverse drinks… especially after work! Yes it is near the 90 freeway and part of the renaissance of the neighborhood. It is a new bar with tons of heritage and a great vibe, tons of beers including Duvel– Chimay, ect. obscure beer you want… Wine, Bourbon, Scotch, Rye,…random awesome cider like Angry Orchard(a must). A neighborhood bar with craft beers, rye whiskey, special cider, no attitude, and a smoking patio… YEP. A great alternative to the Alibi Room/POW for selection… AND you will get served before you are eligible for social security!!! Take this bar over kids :)

This place is the best if you like dive bars and pool. The clientele is more of what makes this place a dive. The beer(and now liquor selection) is great. They offer free popcorn every night and with every drink on Thursday you get an amazing taco. It is clean and they have one of the nicest bar box tables(Diamond) on the west side. Give them a try because I can’t think of another place that is offering this quality in west la or the south bay.

definitely come here if you like super divey bars! the bartender was super friendly and there’s FREEPOPCORN! I came here for Taco Tuesday and with every alcohol purchase, you get a free taco so that was awesome(if you don’t like drinking, I think tacos were only $ 1 anyway).

My husband, Randy, introduced me to 90 West. Fell in love with the atmosphere at the get go. I love that they have beers on tap, a variety of bottled beers, as well as wine and liquor. Absolutely my spot to enjoy La Fin du Monde or Chimay with«the ball and chain»(hehe). PROS: –friendly owner and staff –pet friendly –variety of bottled beers –rice rum! jello shots! –free popcorn -«jukebox» –pool table with regularly scheduled tournaments –good spot to catch«the game» CONS: –somewhat limited/dated jukebox –only one stall in ladies room Have been here on various occasions with my husband and also introduced my sister to this little piece of heaven. Highly recommend!

You can walk in as a stranger but leave with a few new friends. The bartenders are«real». The local regulars are friendly. Its a GREAT low key place to watch all the football games but its still crazy enough of a place to ring in the New Year. The only thing holding me back from giving them a 5 star rating is that they only serve beer and wine. Thats not totally thier fault. I know those licenses are SUPER expensive. Im patient enough to wait. This isnt a glitz and glamour kind of place so leave your high heels in the closet, put on your favorite lazy day t-shirt and come have a beer.

Friendly down-home attitude. Cozy & quirky. Pool table, dart board, bar, patio & taco Thursdays. Beer wine, & now they serve spirits! Many specialty beers to choose from as well as creative mixed drinks. They have a lot of great things going on every day of the week. A mixed eclectic crowd of patrons and tenders alike & everyone gets along great. Free wi-fi! Free popcorn! Clean restrooms! What more could anyone seek to find?

So, I don’t do 1 star reviews, pretty much, ever! However, given the experience that happened to us that night, it did not leave the best first impression. Came for a friend’s birthday who has been wanting to this small, quaint dive bar… only to start with a fun experience, juke box tunes, cheap beers, saki and wine only place, free popcorn and pretzels and pool table and only to end in anger and upset! Everyone was having a terrifc time and then a older man made a derogatory remark about a Africian American friend of ours, to our luck it was handled well, my friend said his piece and walked away. But then it just got worse because others in our group found out what had happened and all hell broke loose! Standing up for what is right and making it a point to the older guy who made the remark that it was NOTOKAY! Sad to say all 12 – 15 of us walked out especially after not being back up by those who worked there. They treasured the business of the«regular» given his bigotry remark instead of telling him to leave. I’m happy to say I will never return!
