A & T Burgers

Decided to stop by here via drive thru since I shopped until like 10:00 PM.
I was debating between fried chicken or fish and chips, but ended up with the former because I heard it is popular.
Drive thru was kind of slow because of the person in front of me, but I give this place 5 stars due to the very high quality and taste of the fried chicken. It even comes with a side of fries (delicious & super crispy and seasoned with a unique salt). Plus, it comes with two pieces of bread and salad.
I was left full and I am excited I tried this place out. It looks a little scary from the outside, but don’t be fooled. Food choices is very large selection and very yummy and flavorful.
I love the generous portion too, I was able to share it with my mom.

I have been coming here since I was little and yet it’s the best place for that fatty burger and chili cheese fries ! The tacos are bomb af and their dinners are to die for lol

, very delicious at an affordable price. Which you can’t beat that. I tried their pastrami chili cheese fries and they are to die for. The service was quick the food was hot and freshly prepared. Definitely going to try them again.

It was such a treat to be back! After 10+ years it’s as good as I remember it. Was not disappointed. The food was great chili cheese fries still are the best I’ve had and the burgers out did my usual in n out burgers. Don’t let the few scattered homeless scare you away, the food and service earns its 5 star review!

As far as the food goes, don’t believe the hype! If the pictures had flavor I’d rather eat that… lol.
When I received my order I was excited to eat the food, but it was very bland and over priced. Weinerschnitzel tastes better. LoL

If your counting calories this isn’t the place for you! Same greasy goodness since 1983. The homeless don’t scare me away from here, nor do random people hanging around. The food is worth it. Could improve on fixing up the outside & keeping the loiterers away by hiring security. …

Burgers here are just good I love it but always get it to go since sadly there’s a lot of homeless people around

The only thing I can complain about this is place. There’s just way too many homeless And African American that are up to no good. But the food is ok, service they can be friendlier. The drive way should be a lot more quicker. But it’s ok

I have been to this place once, about a month ago. I ordered a burger and fries, and I think a drink. The prices were great. Cheaper than McDonalds and better quality than McDonalds, which I don’t eat by the way. The service was nice (opted for drive thru) and my order was correct. Lots of fries! Eat your burger first or you’ll fill up on potatoes. You certainly wont be hungry after you finish your meal. They are very generous with their portions.
As for the location/​environment, I can’t really complain. One has to understand not all areas can be Beverly Hills or Pacific Palisades. It is what it is. Homeless people? Yep, they exist. Life takes us in various directions. I’m sure when we are little we don’t think to ourselves «I want to be homeless or struggle to the point where I don’t know where my next meal is going to come from.»
So, if you have a little extra money and want to do a good deed, order something extra and surprise someone who is not as able.
I commend the owner for allowing those who are less fortunate to be able to enjoy a meal, in peace. There are few places homeless people have to dine. Most places let them order (take their money) and then tell them they can’t stay on the property.
I’ll certainly be back to this place. Heck, it’s literally right around the corner from my place of employment.

In heart of the gettho, you have A & T Burger. This is the second time I come here for lunch during work. I didn’t like their burger so I decided to try their beef tacos. It was simple and tasty.

Love this place (minus the bums!) I’ve been coming here since I was 10! Friendly staff, great menu, even my boyfriend was skeptical of this place because of the sketchy neighborhood, but it has become his fav burger place :)

There are a lot of homeless people and loitering. But the food is amazing

its the crack head hang out spot lol no lie! its why i get my food to go lol been going their for years drive thru is fast and the food is yummy, it beats going to mcdonalds.

The area in which this little treasure is located is pretty rough! Make sure you’re ready to run for it in case anything goes down. I grew up right down 111^th and my siblings and I loved A&T. We moved to NorCal when I was 7 but I could still remember their fries and amazing Special Sauce. Since we moved away I’ve been back only twice, sad I know. I was just here last week with my gf. I totally converted her. I’m really glad they changed their policy and now they are willing to sell you as much Special Sauce as you’d like. I was able to take some back home to my siblings who were drooling over it! I swear I could live off their fries and sauce. One thing though, order to go! Eating in your car is better than eating in their outdoor dining area filled with many different people and smells (not good). This place is where you need to go for some delicious greasy food. Stop by whenever you’re in the HOOD:)

I was actually surprised by the quality of the food considering the location. The girl at the window was surprisingly pleasant as well! All in all a good experience

I’m giving this place a 2 star because:
1. They kept getting orders wrong. I ordered a bacon cheese burger with grilled onions. The first time, they gave me a regular burger. I requested my actual order, and the second time they gave me bacon with no grilled onion (which costed me a buck for ordering). They also got my friend’s order mixed up. I gave up and bitterly ate my burger without the grilled onions.
2. I ordered horchata — came with little ice so it tasted warm. It tasted a bit bland too.
The good thing about this place — it’s cheap and close to where I used to work. & they take credit cards (minimum of $ 5).

Sorry but the burgers weren’t all that great. Their fries on the other hands are pretty good with salt!
Update decided to go back 3 weeks ago and it was like a whole different experience! I have been going back once a week since not gonna lie thousand island dressing is delicious yum!

Good burgers, clean and fast. I went there with a bunch of teachers, and all of the guys who hang out front thought we were police. They give you a ton of fries, so you might want to share an order.

The other day I was driving down avalon looking for a place open at 10^th pm and I drove by A&T’s and saw it open. So I pulled up and started to order and the lady on register was very helpful. I was going to buy some food all separated and I was going to pay about six dollars more but she told me a way that wood come out cheaper. So I saved about 7 or 8 bucks that night. So I drove home and started eating with my wife and son and we all loved it so much I went the next morning for more.

I live in San Diego but try to stop here everytime i’m in the neighborhood for work. If you need a break from your healthy diet and wan’t to indulge this is the spot. The drive through is fast and the safest way to get food, keep the engine running and the door locked!
