I would give this place 4 stars for their variety of products but decreasing to 1 because of the completely rude service I got from a lady named Song Mae Ja. I normally don’t write reviews but wow, this lady was unbelievable. At check out, I simply asked about the product I was about to purchase and about their return policy. The lady replied«7 days» and without hesitation called the next customer in line(the store wasn’t even busy). She didn’t even at least say«excuse me» or «one moment please.» I was basically pushed aside while she helped the next customer(at the same cash register). I patiently waited for her to finish and nicely told her what she did was kind of rude as a worker. She didn’t even think once to apologize and completely ignored me as she completed the transaction. She also avoided making eye contact with me as well. I was so shocked with how an adult can be so rude, especially one whose job is to provide customer service. I’ve never encountered such rude service previous times I came here, but I probably won’t come here anymore.

If you’re looking for a Korean rice cooker, come here. I was able to get one for cheaper than the same one listed on Amazon along with other items that I had come to miss after living in Korea for 5 years. The adjumma working there was very nice and helpful too.

This appliance store is impressive, it got a lot different brand and unique like Hello Kitty Toaster. Do not expect to find super bargain appliance here, is mostly good quality and brand name here also with some creative one as well. It located in the second floor near the end of the mall, they put the price of the item in old fashion way and not mark in front.

Can’t say that I love this place and can’t say that I hate it. Service is pleasant and the staff here are helpful when needing a price or recommending an item for gifting. I walked out with a zojirushi thermos for home lunches and house slippers. Did I need either? Not necessarily. Was it cheap? Not really considering that I could have scoured Amazon and eBay for a better deal on the former and that I could have crossed the street outside the plaza and purchased the same pair of house shoes from that unnamed superstore. Do I like the selection of household items ranging from ricecookers, placemats, and fruit fork gift sets, to tea trays, hairdryers, lunch pails and dustpans? Do I like helping these family-owned places if I know it’s a quality imported product? Sure. Do I love the prices, the sales people who follow me around, ask quite a number of questions, and quote sales prices? Nah, I prefer to shop cheaper. So that’s why. really just A-OK.

ABC Appliance offers a ton of neat and hard to find items. What I love about stores like these, is that you find cookware that is really quite useful and unique. There are lots to look at and the prices can go from inexpensive to a little pricey. If you are looking for something or even if you are not, you’re likely to find it here. I tend to gravitate to the cookware and utensils, but they also have small appliances and personal electronics. This is a pleasant find in the Koreatown Plaza.

Okay, there are a lot of Asian electronic appliances that fit my lifestye. And I need them in order to live more comfortably. My rice cooker and wok for example. Very few stores offer really good appliances. So where do I go when I want to buy them? ABC Appliances of course! I bought my Panasonic rice cooker, portable electric burner(with cooking pot included), humidifier, etc. from here. So far, I haven’t had any problems with them. They offer a wide selection of appliances, so I can easily compare different brands throughout the store. Besides cooking appliances, they offer televisions, stereo/audio, cookware and utensils, health appliances, etc. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of these items are imported. You can clearly see Japanese or Korean fonts on the packaging. Maybe that accounts for some of the expensive prices on a few of the items. However, you’ll definitely find a few things in the store that you might not find elsewhere.
