I don’t mind the food, but the cleanliness is appalling. The air intake has not been cleaned in 100 years and when I pointed it to the manager, Kevin, he just put a board over it.

Even though, this restaurant, is in, a sketchy part of 7th street, the prices are good!, and, the food, is plentiful, and, mostly tasty! The employees, are nice, and conversant! Conversely, the place, is small, and, often, it’s not the cleanest! A couple of times, I’ve ordered rice, with my dish, and, it was either spoiled, or old! Do they use, or mix, day old rice, with the current day’s new rice? If you’re craving, a cheap, greasy, fast, MSG filled meal, you’ll do fine here! LOL!

Was in town and craving some Chinese food. Based on the area where I was at this seemed to have the most positive reviews. I was with a couple of friends & based on the appearance of the shop they decided not to eat here. However, the friend that stayed and I were satisfied with our food. It was very economic & very tasty. Would recommend to anyone. The only reason I don’t 5 star is because of their cleanliness, its not bad but it isn’t great. I am definitely coming back if I’m ever in town & craving some Chinese.

Good stuff! Cheap eats! And they speak English so that helped me out in asking questions. Food is displayed for you to see and point at what you would like to pick. The sizes go from small, medium and large. And it’s reasonable prices. Not a bad location. The only problem to this place is that the sweet and sour pork chop is all BONES. Majority of the meat is filled with bones. You get one or two bites than bone. So think about it before you buy the sweet and sour. Oh yea and also the fried pork chop. Small counter to eat maybe like 5⁄6 seats against the window. Parking street and also a small parking on the side.

To much MSG and I got food poisoning. Lesson learned, stick to fresh quality Chinese vs these fast food spots sitting under a heat lamp!

I walk by this establishment and I always thought it was a front of some kind. 5 dollar plates that feed 2 people?! The chow mein is delicious and the orange chicken is pretty good too. A great deal that hits the spot when you are craving greasy Chinese takeout

Ridiculous amounts of food for combo B: choice of chow mein or fried rice with two sides. The to go box wouldn’t close, that’s how full it was. I got chow mein with crispy bbq pork and a fried chili oil and peppery chicken. Chicken is spicy and portions are huge! The pork had a wonderful crispy skin. If you want a ton of food and«crappy» Chinese food, this place is a treat. Super cheap too!

Like others stated not the ideal place to bring a date, but if you want some delicious Chinese food on the cheap, you can’t find a better place than this. Servers are friendly and make you feel welcome. Food is packed to the brim. My favorite is their fried chicken. Delicious!

This place is great! I always thought that downtown LA needed a Chinese restaurant. I never walked in because the outside of the place makes this looks like a hole in the wall greasy dive, but the food is really good and is a great price. There’s a lot of people that come through here so the food is fresh because of the high turnover. For the combo plate, you can ask for half fried rice and half chow mein. The mushroom chicken is good with the hot sauce they give on the side. The won ton soup is delicious too!

This place is amazing!!! Have eaten here 5⁄6 times over the past 3 months and I’m astounded. The chow mien is out of this world good and as everyone says the Orange peel chicken is better than any Hong Kong Express or Panda Express! Plus at $ 4 a meal how can you beat it? Oh and if you are nice to the staff they will be even nicer to you– it’s a two way street

This is not a place to bring someone if you want to impress them. But with that being said the food here does the trick. If you are craving Americanized Chinese food that is a step or two up from Panda Express this is your spot. Always satisfied when I come here but I make it a point to eat it at home. It’s a tad but too warm inside for my taste.

Super cheap chinese food. Flavorful but at times you may need to season with soy sauce. I believe its cash only but with $ 10 you can stuffly feed 4 people!

cheap combos, gigantic portions, good tasting — what’s not to like? beats the remodeled phoenix inn across the street with their lackluster new menu.

I love this place! They are downtown’s answer to Panda Express but with MUCH nicer staff and prices. The food is tasty and plentiful. Yeah, like some say its not a place you’d take a date for a 5 star dinning experience but I m not gonna review 7 – 11’s food selection like I m eating at one of Gordon Ramsay’s. This isn’t a date spot, but rather an honest and good local spot that makes good take out fast food chinese. This place ROCKS!!! The staff is honesty, caring and giving and the food tastes great! Do yourself a favor and check them out!!!

I would have given this place 2 stars, but their chicken wings bumped it up a star. This place is super gettho and slimy. Not sure how this place got an A rating. The healthy inspector must have taken a bribe or was on drugs. The windows are all cover in oil. The food was maybe a notch up from panada express. The chicken wings were pretty decent. Well if u ever feel like cheap ass ameicanized chinese food. This is ur spot yo.

I think this restaurant is named«ABC» for the reasons that it’s rather Americanized for a Chinese fast food restaurant. It’s a casual, no frills hole in the wall with a large steam table situated at the entrance that delineates the open kitchen from the tile-to-tile seating area. Their food tends to be saltier than like-minded places due to the local clientele, and there seems to be a high turnover rate among their entrees as the foot traffic coming in and out is constant throughout the day. The server speaks Mandarin and Spanish and is extremely kind and generous. You can choose to buy one item for $ 1.65, or combination plates that range from $ 3.19 to $ 4.29 depending on the number of items you get. My steamed rice with three items included barbeque chicken, mushroom chicken, and two pieces of plantains($ 5.25). The Styrofoam container was filled to the brim, and the ingredients used were noticeably fresh. The barbeque chicken thigh with leg attached came with a sweetened surface and the meat was easy to bite into. I wished it wasn’t so salty, or otherwise it could have been very good. The mushroom chicken was sweetened by the zucchini that were delightfully firm at the core to bring a nice contrast, and the plantains were hearty and moderately sweet. Interested diners should be aware that the culinary form is not authentically Chinese but it should fulfill the expectations of those who don’t have much time to go through the bells and whistles of a sit down restaurant. Diners can expect to enjoy large portions, affordable prices, and friendly service, but the food is not as refined as many of the fast food places I’ve visited. 2.5 stars for the overall experience. I’d be interested in coming back to try their other items.

Grime, grime, and grime. That about sums this place up! It’s not authentic Chinese. This is Panda Express style, with TLC! Always packed with locals, and a high turnover rate. This means the orange chicken stays crunchy! It’s even juicy, and more chicken than breading! Less than 5 dollars for a 2 item combo. It comes with noodles, and/or fried rice. They’re really Chinese, and super friendly. They speak Spanish too. It’s not a date spot, and it is a bit grimey. It’s still a favourite, amongst DT locals. Everything is fresh, and real. Perhaps a bit of MSG, but MSG doesn’t kill.
