Dear Fellow Unilocal-ers, Please know that my reviews are completely honest & this is truly a warning to all of you good people. please don’t waste your hard earned money here only to be verbally abused by that miserable counter guy– jordan! Just as many other Unilocal-ers hv also rightfully complained about. all justified! xo ~V WORSTEVERCSEVER! The bread is great but that’s it! As many fellow reviewers hv honestly shared~ the customer service is horrible! This unprofessional, miserable, vile employee– jordan that works the counter is the absolute most vile, rude, miserable thing that I’ve encountered in a very long time! Hurling obscenities at me. verbal abuse was unnecessary. This guy accused me of stealing a $ 1.75 bag of chips~ it’s not my fault that you can’t do your menial job professionally bc you’re a miserable thing! I clearly ordered the $ 1.75 bag of chips when I paid for my $ 30ish dollar order & in front of everyone this unprofessional, miserable thing accused me of trying to steal a bag of $ 1.75 bag of chips in front of everyone! Then proceeds to get personal & shouts at me that it’s in grad school~ so what. you want to go toe to toe I’ll bury you. so big deal I hv my Masters from & I’ll just head out to my Porsche while you stay behind your little counter being miserable & abusing loyal customers! The magnitude of unprofessionalism is truly blatantly gross & revolting! I’ve worked retail in university & I know for a fact that a proffesional, decent person would hv handled it MUCH differently. if it was polite & professional this review & the legal action that we’re proceeding with(my husband is a United States Federal Prosecutor) would be avoided albeit putting up w/this thing’s miserable, rude attitude every time that I’ve gone in & irs there & as shown in others reviews I’m by no means the only one abused & harassment by this miserable thing! It is just blatantly wrong so I filed a police report w/my husband at the Weho Sheriff’s Dept. on Santa Monica Blvd. & San Vicente. I choose to waste my energy on this bc I’m so sick of this guy’s miserable attitude EVERY time that I’ve been there & today is the last straw for him. It will be held accountable for its vile actions & varous broken CA penal laws. Please don’t misunderstand~ I respect anyone working & no job is menial unless you make it that way! I was raised to treat everyone w/respect & the same regardless of «position in life.» We hv many high profile friends & family as well as non & I respect everyone the same unless there’s a good given reason not to! Basic decent courtesy this place lacks greatly! Don’t work there if you’re so miserable & treat loyal customers w/such hostility & vile-ness! Please avoid being mistreated & abused when getting a sandwich. REALLY??! I’m still baffled! Jealousy can be a deadly thing I suggest jordan double it’s meds & get a life instead of harassing innocent customers & be professional regardless of your job it’s your JOB! There are SO many amazing places to eat in our fabulous city~ don’t waste your hard earned money at his place. completely gross &VILE! See you in court!

Surprisingly a place whose name is All About the Bread has pretty bland bread. I tried to search their website to see if they define the type of bread they use, but it only says fresh artisan bread. It reminds me of sourdough bread, complete with blisters and a slight piquant tang. I ordered the Godfather with the works and the combination of sourdough, pickles, mustard, peppers and italian dressing not only made the sandwich impossible to eat, it made it too tangy/acidic. Overall I’ve had better sandwich elsewhere and wouldn’t return.

Been to the melrose location many times and liked it but this location has a ‘B’ and I risked it anyway but my stomach and body paid the price all weekend I’ve been in the bathroom purging my body — very disappointed in this franchise!

I’ve been a regular All About the Bread customer and a Milan Salami enthusiast from my very first bite. It’s a sandwich, right? How good can it get? It turns out, with a focus on good ingredients, kept simple, and well-directed effort, a sandwich can be a wonderful experience. Of course, it’s a total cliché by now, but if I didn’t mention it, this review would conspicuously omit the best part: it really is the bread. Biting into one of their fresh sandwiches, you can taste, feel, and even hear the distinct texture and crackling of the outer crust. This is your introduction to the one bite gustatory rollercoaster that’s guaranteed to surprise and delight. I’ve taken skeptical friends with me and before long it’s their weekly lunchtime pilgrimage. Try it once. You won’t regret it.

My friend who lives down the street has said all about the bread is his favourite, so we were excited when this location opened up. He was pretty disappointed that they didn’t have roast beef at this location. I decided to go with something they’re famous for; the godfather, it was good and I was happy with all the ingredients. Needless to say the bread here is good, I like that it’s thinner than most, but still crunchy. My friend got a ‘create your own’ turkey sandwich, he asked for hot peppers and no cheese and instead got no peppers and provolone cheese… For a sandwich that was supposed to be custom that was another let down for him… Because of his experience he will probably not frequent this location, which is unfortunate because of how close by it is… I think they have kinks to smooth out, but overall the ingredients and bread are good so I’m willing to try again. Also I have a big sweet tooth so I had to try the chocolate chip cookie; sadly it was not my favourite, it was more of a sugary crunchy cookie than my personal preference of chewy…

Gd bless!!! Finally they brought another storefront near me. The bread is so soft and it doesn’t hurt the roof of my mouth when I bite into it. I love getting the works in my sandwich it adds so much good flavor. I get the veggie 6 inch with the works and I’m always satisfied. My friend got the tuna works and she loved it! The only negative is the sauce, I wish they had more of an oil vinaigrette flavor.

Awful service. I eat at the food court quite often with my coworkers every week. I’ve been here a total of 2 times and have waited at minimum 15 mins longer than everybody else before I get my food. Will not be a returning customer again!

The chick at the counter did not greet us. I know she was putting in a phone order into the computer but she could had greeted us. We waited 15 mins for our sandwiches. The bread is hard. No choices in bread. The chick at the counter was just plain rude.

Pleasantly surprised when this shop opened up at Century City mall. Nobody else has bread like theirs! So crispy on the outside but soft inside. Doesn’t even matter what type of sandwich you order. Like the name of the establishment– it’s all about the bread!

Man was that a STUNNINGLY good meatball sammie. The bread, you could hear the crack and see the texture as it was being assembled… heavy, heavy piece of food. Perfection. Best meatball sub I’ve ever had. Great price for the quality and the size of the damn thing. Loved it.

This place is legit. Used to travel to the melrose location. Really glad the opened on closer to me. The house turkey and the tuna(both with the works) are my favorite.

The sandwiches are good if not rip offs of Bay Cities. The bigger issue here is the service. Lines are outrageous and they’re so understaffed that it’s somewhat amazing. Today I waited twenty five minutes for a simple sandwich and at times(note the picture) there was no one making sandwiches and about fifteen people waiting. When there was a sandwich maker, there was only one whose pace reminded me of that of a dying turtle.

We ate here twice, and the food was OK. The bread was hard, and the Godfather was just sad. no flavor at all. Then I had a make your own, basic, turkey sandwich, which was over-priced and again, nothing special. Too bad because they need really good food to make up for the horrible service. I also got the«we are not open til 11» at 10:55. There were 5 employees standing around talking and eating while 3 people were waiting to order. When they did finally«open» the cashier was surly, and rude. The second time was pretty much the same, I came at 11:30am and the crew clearly had no interest in being there or serving customers. Never going back.

So far I’m not impressed, the girl behind the register was eating while taking orders. My sandwich ended up with hot peppers instead of the mild that I ordered and the tomatoes were more green than red. The bread was ok, but really hard. I won’t be rushing back to spend $ 7.50 for a «just ok» sandwich.

I absolutely love this place. I don’t understand why these Unilocalers are so disappointed. I’ve dined here a few times since they opened and I’ve been satisfied every time. My favorite sandwich is the meatball because the meatballs are so flavorful and the combination of the provolone and Parmesan cheese together really complete the sandwich. My boyfriend gets the godfather and asks for mild peppers and he never had a problem with overwhelming spice. So if you like a classic Italian sub but don’t have tastebuds that can handle spice, I recommend asking for less peppers– common sense, right? Duh. I definitely recommend this place.

Man, this place is a joke. $ 10 for a «large» pastrami sandwich, on a little piece of crunchy bread, and a very stingy layer of pastrami, that is supposedly flown from the east coast. The pastrami itself is mediocre. They add so much chopped pepperoncini, you’d never know if it came from a can. They try to sell themselves as a NY style deli. But clearly, they’re just trying to sell a concept to the unbeknownst Century City shoppers. There is much better pastrami out there. Save your money. This place is All About The Disappointment.

Not ready for prime time! I was there at 10:55am on Sunday. A young lady told me to return at 11am when they open. I returned at 11am. She said the bread takes about 10 mins to cool down so to return at 11:10am. Once I returned at 11:10, there were 2 other customers in line. One sandwich took about 10 mins to make. I was handed the sandwich with no napkins or a bag. I asked for some napkins. She then went to the back area to get some napkins. The place has been open for awhile, but it certainly looks like they’re not interested in serving anyone. I got The Godfather. I’m not sure if Bay City Deli is aware that the name has been lifted from them. The sandwich was good, but it wasn’t the best I had and certainly wasn’t worth the wait. Would I go back? No. Refer others? No. Get rid of the complacent(but courteous) young African-American cashier who was not interested in working. What a lost opportunity for Century City Food Court that was missing a good deli. Dear Operator, please make sure the staff is ready to work when they clock in!

The person who did the first review for this place is an idiot(D.H.). You don’t give a new restaurant one star because you don’t like jalapeño’s. This is their first review and you’re starting them off with one star, you’re stupid and obviously you don’t understand how Unilocal works. Take your pussy ass to Bay Cities. I am getting All about the bread today and will follow up with my informed and thoughtfully written review.

Even if this ‘wasn’t in a food court’ that meatball sub is still pretty awesome. The bread is good, of course, but the balls were tasty and came with plenty of sauce(a normal downfall). The signature turkey sandwich was pretty average, it was actually pretty dry — even after ‘the works.‘ So one 5 star meatball + one 3 star turkey = 4 stars!
