American Heroes Air Show

On the «Bad-​Ass-​O-​Meter», this event is off the charts. First of all, the event AND parking are both FREE!!! Where else are you going to be able to climb into helicopters from our awesome local, state, federal and military agencies? Besides the helicopters, there are dozens of tables and exibits where you can climb aboard Humvees, have photo-​ops with .50 cal machine guns and the bad-​ass mo-​fos who actually get to use them!
There are also demonstrations of helicopter search and rescues, water-​dropping choppers and precision sky-​divers. Not to mention the great free swag thebooths give away! You can never have too many pencils, chip clips and stickers for the kiddos!
Aside from the fact the event is always hotter than a campfire (get it?), it’s a great time as long as you bring food, stay hydrated and have fun! To the men and women who make the event successful… Thank you for your service!

This is «THE» great helicopter show of the year in Los Angeles every year and its FREE! Jim and his dedicated group of volunteers put on a great show every year! If you like helicopters this is the place to go. You got LAFD, LACoFD, LAPD, LASD, Pasadena PD, USAF, Army, USMC, Navy, etc. List goes on & on depending on who shows up and it sometimes varies year to year for the military due to deployments.
In addition to the helicopters, there are multiple displays from alot of the same departments and other law/​fire/​forensic units showing off their tools of the trade and also recruiting potential candidates.
This is also great for kids of all ages to see all this equipment up close and person and talk to the crews of the helo, fire trucks, bomb squad, etc and see what its like for them.
So I will be go next year like I have for the past 5 or more years to this great FREE event.
