A super cute furniture/home décor spot tucked away at the bottom of the Eastern Columbia Building. They had a number of fancy items from pillows to candles to trunks made from re-claimed wood. The staff were really nice and helpful as well as needed. The décor of the store itself was really pretty — had book pages covering the walls on one side and industrial shelfing that carried nice accent pieces on the other. Sadly, it looked like they were having a closing sale when we dropped by, so I’d recommend visiting soon when you get the chance!

Ed is amazing. He has a great knowledge of design but even more impressive is his ability to connect with people. We drive from Santa Monica to check out their latest finds. They have a great selection of table top, vintage, and accessories.

I’ve purchased a couple items here. They are always really nice, have fabric samples for you to see and feel and will measure things for you. I just purchased a new sofa and the deal was unbelievable! 20% off, a free throw blanket, throw pillows included and free shipping! I’m a big big fan. They also have a great selection of candles which is awesome. I love candles.

This place is more gift shop than home store, but true to the spirit of the area, they have a lot of fabric options to customize furniture and mix and match pillows. Otherwise, it’s small lamps, fancy soaps, matches and knickknacks. There is a floor model cocktail chair for $ 200 I want, but I have my hands full unpacking and repairing things from my move. I bought some soap.

I didn’t expect there’s such a classy store existing in DTLA until I stumbled on it. They had great candle collections and I simply wanted to take home every little things this store carried.

Great gift shop /home store in DTLA. I go in about once a week while walking my dog, and if I’m looking, I almost always find the perfect gift. Plus they always give my dog treats – he’ll stop and sit by the door even if they’re not open, he loves it so much! Great asset to downtown, and even though they carry nice things(and are increasingly surrounded by high-end boutiques) their prices are quite reasonable.

Folks, you don’t deserve the high level of service you will get from Ed. I didn’t. but I got it anyway. Nobody should ever wonder why walking into a store and conducting business with an exceptionally attentive person is a thousand times more satisfying than pushing a cursor around on Overstock. If they do, they haven’t bought anything from Ed. This store deserves my business, and yours, for years to come. Thank you!

the angelo: home store was a wonderful surprise & lovely cap to a fantastic afternoon spent walking downtown los angeles with a girlfriend. we initially ventured to the neighborhood to witness the ‘pop-up broadway’ event presented by the mayor’s office just this monday past. after enjoying several creative arts’ performances on the sidewalk(note: velvet hammer burlesque’s traveling vaudeville, the afro-carribean group curuyé & boyle heights’ very own el-haru kuroi should be checked out, reader, at once!), we decided to take a respite at the ace hotel rooftop. the window display of angelo: home caught my interest — books, good furniture set in a warm & inviting manner — & we decided to enter. there were no expectations of what was to be contained inside as up until quite recently downtown was not known for its sharply-curated, house ware /gift shops. that said, i must commend the buyer(s) of the store for a cohesive & decently comprehensive selection of product. spotted by my eye in a curious once around — design-minded furniture(couches, tables, ottomans, etc.) perfect for the present bloom of dtla lofts; beautiful & sweet-smelling candles & soaps; charming & colorful wall-clocks; niche culinary ingredients(infused oils, jarred vegetables, etc.); toss blankets & pillows; clever reclaimed serving trays from local manufacturer spitfire girl; boxed note cards with a 60s vintage flair; & a smattering of halloween decorations. i purchased two types of tea from harney & sons fine teas — one a portable tin of winter white earl grey tea sachets & a larger tin of green tea with sweet coconut for making iced tea. confession: i have recently become a tea yound. the prices were insanely reasonable & the tea is delicious. as for the customer service — the woman managing the store who conducted my sale was absolutely friendly & engaging. we enjoyed a lovely conversation about the growth of the neighborhood, the history of the store & the retail world in general. miss, i apologize for forgetting your name. please remind me of it next time i am shopping at your store as i will certainly be back.

Two words: effin’ adorable. I was originally beckoned in for the furniture… as a prior furniture designer, I never give up a chance to perv out on desks and lighting. It’s borderline disgusting. I’m vaguely obsessed with their Fulton chandeliers, even though I have no practical use for florescent lucite chandeliers in my life. What had me come back was all of the vintagey gift items— Super rad black vintage ashtray(which I use to hold candles in): BOOM, MINE. Cool decanter for my alcoholic exbf: BOOM, HIS. Dainty soap things for various dirty people I know: BOOM, THEIRS. Cute pillows for my mom’s new couch: BOOM, HERS. Totally come through if you want to nab some rad findings for yourself or others. Angelo: HOME shan’t disappoint.

I recently moved into the area and bumped into the Angelo Home Store walking my dogs. It’s amazing. I moved from a house to a much smaller loft and had to start completely over with furnishings since none of my things fit. I’m pretty design impaired, but walking around the store gave me so many great ideas for my new space. Ed even took the time to give me design 101 lessons. He loves his job which translates into great customer service. They have chic contemporary and hand picked antique pieces that look beautiful and work great together. Every time I walk my dogs I window shop and have the website book marked on my computer. Their prices are reasonable and the customer service is outstanding. They even carry unusual accent items designed by local artists. One of the items I bought was a great wall piece with hooks(for dog leashes) and a small shelf that hangs by my doorway. I get so many compliments on it and love coming home and seeing the things I’ve purchased from there. If you’re shopping for home furnishings or décor, definitely make a stop here or visit their website. It’s well worth it.

Many thanks to Angelo and Michelle at the angelo: HOME Store. I was having an issue with the furniture store I purchased their product from in Nebraska and these two came through for me and made it right! I ordered the Parisian ottoman in teal blue and Angelo and Michelle helped me out to get it to me for an event. Because of their amazing customer service, I then ordered the Harlow chair in Orange. It came within a week and shipping was free! The quality of the pieces is superb and the price is very affordable. For furniture you have to assemble(which is minimal assemblage), we were really happy with the quality. I love that Angelo has affordable, trendy and good quality furniture AND offers free shipping! And has amazing customer service!

This place is fantastic! A really cool mix of vintage and vintage-inspired pieces. We wanted pretty much everything in the store. The prices are at least half of what you would pay in a big chain store, but for much more interesting and unique stuff. Ed is super helpful and makes shopping there a pleasure. The store is a must-visit for anyone shopping downtown!

We found this place by chance as we had lunch across the street from the store. The wife saw the furniture from their window and had to go in. Everything in the store was the wife’s style and the price were actually reasonable which was a surprise as the wife can innately pick the most expensive item. The store was having a 20% sale on most of their display model furniture. We purchased an ottoman storage bench. The quality of the bench seemed to be very good, but then again I’m no expert on furniture. I had to come back two days later to pick it up as we didn’t have a car big enough to fit the bench, but if you buy new they ship the item to you and cost of shipping is already included in their price. The prices here seemed cheaper than if you buy online through one of their affiliates. The sales person was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend coming here if you are looking to buy furniture.

NIce shop on Broadway where they aren’t very many. We bought a few things including a throw pillow and some cool coasters. We love the eclectic mix of home goods. Apparently, they receive new stock frequently. So, this means we’ll be making more stops here in the future.

I stumbled into angelo: HOME just walking by after lunch today(i work nearby) and I will say, I will definitely be back! Ed who was working was so polite, helpful, and knowledgable about all the products in the store. The product assortment was wonderful; a mix of new upholstered furniture, rare beautiful vintage treasures, and unique home accents. The prices were extremely reasonable, considering the quality of the products was very high. I bought two pillows for my living room which are gorgeous and a vintage decanter. I LOVE all my purchases and can’t wait to go back for more. In a world where customer service and quality products are hard to find, I plan on buying all my home décor from Ed personally going forward. A true gem! I would suggest to anyone who wants to make their house a home!

It went something like this: my wife had work in downtown and she noticed a beautiful store that had recently opened. She was rushed and didn’t have time to stop in. We went downtown this afternoon to run a few errands and wanted to check the place out. She couldn’t remember where it was exactly but kind of knew the area. So, we search. After a lot of turns we still were baffled! Then she said, «I remember it was in the street level of a beautiful blue building!» Well, I thought that kind of narrows it down, but I still didn’t know. We sat in the car, by the side of the road somewhat perplexed. «I remember something else!» She screamed startling me practically through the sunroof. «It was the building where Johnny Depp had the penthouse!» Finally! Something I can go on. I pull out the trusty droid and do a google search for Johnny Depp penthouse in downtown LA. Immediately an article comes up about this place with an address! We are home free. 847 Broadway here we come. We find a parking spot which was relatively easy and go in. I was incredibly stunned at the grace of the store as we walked in. There were a beautiful assortment of artifacts new and old that would look stunning in any home. We were so impressed with the style of the furniture, not only well proportioned but really comfortable as well. We had the pleasure of meeting Angelo himself. We soon found out that all of the furniture was designed by him! It was very well priced and the mixture of good was incomparable. Artisan pieces of pottery mixed with well designed production pieces; seamlessly. We would up buying quite a few pieces for gifts and had in mind some things we wanted to order for the future. There were beautiful chairs with turned legs so comfortable I would buy a houseful for $ 199! Really unbelievable. A beautiful production wine stand, almost a bar out of wood and steel for $ 149? I commended Angelo for making quality pieces available to the masses. It is hard to keep prices down, quality up and people happy, Angelo has done just that… Bravo. I will be sending everyone I know down here. I had heard that he ships chairs for free so they don’t even have to be local friends!
