These guys treat me like I’m their only customer. After moving to the area I sought out a small local pharmacy — I hate the big chain drug stores with their long waits, mistakes and impersonal service. I’m on a lot of meds so it’s important to find a place I’m happy with and can count on. Either Babic or Henry always calls to let me know if there is any problem, and prescriptions are always filled immediately. Their little shop is in a good spot, has a parking lot, and is filled with various interesting items that remind me of an oldtime pharmacy.

This place is wonderful. It’s almost like stepping into«Mayberry»(in a very good, charming way). I have been going there for over a year and will continue to do so!

Why would you go to any other pharmacy? Babic, the pharmacist, and his staff are very knowledgeable about the medicines. But, even better, they are very caring and provide great customer service. They are patient and make sure that you understand what you need to know about the medicines you are purchasing. They will even call your doctor if you are unclear about why you were prescribed a particular medicine. This pharmacy has been around for years and years, and this can only go to show you that the quality of service and low prices have kept patients coming to B & G forever. I will never go to a CVS/Rite-Aid/Walgreens again knowing that I can go to B & G.

Finding a place like B&G Pharmacy is exactly why I love Unilocal. My insurance doesn’t cover my prescription because it’s for cosmetic reasons. I needed to pay cash. Usually, I have my cash prescriptions filled down the street at Walgreens. My doctor switched the medication so I called Walgreens to see how much it would cost. The pharmacy tech was so rude. She wouldn’t even tell me how much it was over the phone and wanted me to come in just to find out. I mean, if you work at a pharmacy, isn’t it part of your job to tell people how much they need to pay for their prescriptions? Anyway, I decided I was going to give someone else my money besides Walgreens if they were going to have such horrible people answering the phones. I called a few places nearby, and they all quoted what I thought was pretty high price for the prescription also they had bad reviews for customer service here on Unilocal. So I decided call B&G Pharmacy after reading the good reviews. Not only was Babic more than willing to give me the price over the phone, he was super friendly. But even better, the prescription was *way* less expensive than other places. I drove past the Walgreens, RiteAid, Von’s, CVS and past the Sav-On to get to B&G. I saw what I thought would be the parking lot and pulled in. I stepped out of my car and was pretty upset to see that I had pulled into a parking lot with a security gate… That was closing… With my car trapped inside. I told Babic what happened and he came out and found some guy from across the street to let me out. Thank you, Babic! Even though B&G is in a dodgy part of town, I will still drive all the way across town to have my cash prescriptions filled there. The customer service could not have been better, the price was by far the lowest I found and it makes me happy to support a family run business instead of a major corporate entity. Oh, they have parking! It’s in the back but it’s hard to see. Just pull in behind the building and a narrow drive-way will take you to ample places to park.

I can’t speak for all medications, but calling around looking for prices on _generic_Flonase, no insurance, I found: — Rite Aid: $ 90 — Walgreens: $ 74 — CVS: $ 67 — Target: $ 45 — Discount Medical Pharmacy: $ 35 — B & G: $ 33

I went to this pharmacy after reading BRET W’s positive review. He is right… the service is very friendly and helpful and I would recommend getting your prescription there. 4 stars, not 5, only because of opening hours and slightly limited range of general items for sale. Note: they also have a small stock of Romanian-American newspapers/books…
