As its supporters, so goes the advertisements. Refer to their Facebook page and not their website. It saddens me, how less they do anything for Batcave as they’re really a lot of fun. Where else can you get Dr. Shocker, A torture chair, EDM dance floor, beautiful people inside and out in one!!! A message to their owners. Keep it going plz!

Great music. Great vibe … But the door guy is a joke British accent having us wait and wait 40 min and I’m 7 people from the door… Drinks are good and the people are great.

Great venue crazy people. Well conducted security guards… About one third dress to impress in the Gothic code… Couple of look loos… Overall a great atmosphere experience. The bat cave is currently closed but will open up soon at another location…

Batcave… the place to go where nothing is played but EBM/aggrotech/goth/industrial. I myself am a big fan of the genre. I checked this place out sometime last year around the early summer. Upon arrival, I was left amazed! Costumed-like appearances everywhere you’d think! No way! The Goth scene, I remember from my heyday in high school(Early 2000’s) was surely big! In Los Angeles, it still has somewhat of a big following, but not as big as it was back 15 – 20 years ago. Batcave is one of the few places where they play goth/industrial hits in Los Angeles. The events they have here from time to time are just amazing. Costumed themed events, fetish balls and such… wow, need I say more?! The one place where you can come all costumed out and be in your own comfort zone. The drink specials here are great. They do have a smoking patio, but quite small as well. Inside there is ample space to dance. Whenever I have came, I have been lucky to find good street parking. The first night I went, it was a Halloween like costume themed event. I had so much fun hearing such greats like Skinny Puppy, Combichrist, Ministry, NIN, Suicide Commando, Front 242, Hocico, Covenant, Marilyn Manson, Wumpscut, Eisenfunk and other great EBM artists! The crowd here are just amazing. None of that angry pissed off crowd you might find at other shows! Cyber goths, dominatrix, costumed people in all just here to enjoy the ambiance of the goth/industrial culture. That is the main reason why I love coming here. With the diminishing number of Goth/Industrial clubs/hangout spots in Los Angeles(Das Bunker, Bar Sinister, Perversion), this is becoming my go to place for hanging out, dancing the night away and good old fashioned fun all around. Hey, the original Tommy’s is not too far from here so you can stop by there after or before wards! Always crowded, you will be sure to have a good time. Do not come with a closed or judgmental mind!

very AWESOME place… tho I’m a little confused why Medusa’s is referred to the Batcave on here. I think it’s funny how Unilocal has the address right but the location wrong?

I love EBM and Industrial music, so when Das Bunker had to close it’s door due to venue issues, I had to find a new place to get my dance on. Enter Batcave: they met my expectations, and then some. I could write pages about how much I love my new and future stomping grounds, but I’ll just elaborate on two things that totally blew me away: first, how EXCELLENT the music choice is(a DJ who actually spins songs from the GOOD, old Combichrist albums?! WOW!) and second, how friendly the people were(no joke – these people treated me as though I were an old friend!) I’ve been doing the EMB/Industrial club thing for over a decade, and Batcave was by far the most fun I’ve ever had.

My first time at Medusa Lounge + Batcave was for their 4th yr anniversary. It was definitely what I had expected, everyone is super friendly and there to have a good time. Drinks were good, music was good. Got some Electro Shock Therapy from Dr. Shock which was totally crazy and fun. I will definitely be going back!

This club is amazing! It has parking that is affordable and valet for $ 5.00! The inside of the club is enticing with great bartenders that make great drinks. With ravishing Go-Go dances in every corner. The DJ’s are so impressive,(DJs, Skum Love, Kevin Nozar, or Malice Vext) with their playing of music that everyone wants to hear. I enjoy myself every month and never miss my favorite Club, Batcave!

I’m not gonna lie, this was my favorite club in the area long before I started helping out with this. As with all my reviews ill still be as objective as possible in my critique of the place. If you’ve never been here you can expect an amazing aesthetic with gothic imagery built into the architecture giving the place castle-like vibe. The music itself is why I fell in love with place. In the front room you have 80’s & Dark Alternative among other things. In the back room you’ll find some of the stompiest music you’ll find in the LA area playing through an amazing sound system with an impressive lighting system. The nights are theme and I do have to admit there’s something fun about dressing up like your favorite villain or character from a movie. They also constantly have performers and amazing underground artists. So in a typical night you might start in the main room with a packed dance floor, walk through the hallway which at any given moment is lined with artists, zombies, and vendors, before making your way to the frot room where you might catch a band play, watch a burlesque show, gawk at fetish players, & dance to 80’s goth & Dark Alternative. It’s really epic honestly. Anther thing that should be mentioned about the crowd. I can’t really explain why & I can promise you I’m not exaggerating, but you’ll find some of the friendliest people here. Keep in mind we’re in the LA/Hollywood area. It’s a given that at most clubs you’ll run into have a lot of negative, clicky type people. I understand that & actually have grown accustomed to it. But for someone who doesn’t spend a large amount of their time making friends & connections in the scene you’ll be perfectly fine here & even make a few new friends. –A true story as an example: Last month a brought a friend. She knows almost no one in this scene & she had never been to Batcave. Upon walking in I showed her around a little & introduced her to some of the artist. Within 10 minutes people saw that she was friendly & met her with that same friendly energy. I saw her constantly approaching & being approached by random club goers just to chat and say hi. This is common motif at this club. People are friendly & it sets the place apart. Pros: –Amazing music for most Gothic & Industrial tastes. –Elaborate themes with decorations, photographers, and dressed up patrons.(Think amazing Halloween party but every month!) –Top notch bands, artists, dancers & performers! –Great photographers –VERY friendly & positive people –Great sound & lighting –cool scene on the smoking patio & hallway bench area for people who like to chat more than dance –Did I mention friendly, positive, supportive people. YES! HEREINLA! :0 Cons: –The hot dog lady outside is MIA :[

I used to just be a fan of the club now I DJ there. I have watched this club grow. The people who run it do it for the right reasons. The crowd is not typical but all there for a good time. I love bringing newbies here cuz they don’t feel judged or have that«I’m cooler than you» vibe going on here. The bartender pour great drinks and I play the kind of music that gets the crowd moving. And all the other DJs play enough different stuff to keep the party going. We all look at it as we are there for the crowd not them for us.

One of the most outstanding clubs I’ve ever attended. It is by far the only known club to promote cancer research! Big round of applause for such love and support. Now to talk about the wonderful crowd you’ll encounter. For example, most clubs have bad vibes, negative people, or it’s just simply boring(same old crud). THISCLUBWILLNEVERBOREYOU! It’s full of great fun loving people! They all welcome you with open arms. The music is the added cherry on top. I am so glad my boyfriend introduced me to this place. Above all, I highly recommend this club. The promoters are the heart of this kingdom and they do have very big hearts! Cheers to batcave and may this club live on forever!

Batcave is a wonderful place with amazing music and ambiance. Everything about it is unique, creative, and fun. Everything from the lighting fixtures, to the textured dungeon-esque walls, to the Taxidermied deer heads mounted above a main hallway entrance(my favorite!) I love going because it’s the very FIRST goth type venue I have been too where I have felt so welcomed and interacted with. A lot of really friendly people go here, everyone makes friends with everyone else, and it’s not just some little hole in the wall. Batcave staff does a wonderful job of organizing their events, each time is a home run, and they events are always exciting and well worth making the trip for. I will continue to go here as long as they remain a venue for sure! Love them! show your support and come dance with us!

Though it may be very crowded(and I normally get very particular about that) The people here are friendly and the energy is fun. I went on a themed night so there were many who were in costume. Normally when I go to a themed event no one actually dresses up as the theme at clubs so that was pretty cool. Interesting gogo dancers and mix of music that started out with some rock/metal onward to oldschool industrial and goth rock and down to newer EBM music that got the crowd awake. i didn’t spend much time in the front room but when i was heading out it was pretty lively too. I would certainly come again. Inexpensive, free entry if you rsvp… and a good time :)

Batcave has returned to their original home, Medusa Lounge, once per month, approximately mid-month(on a Saturday). If you’ve been following this club, you know that the format of the club has changed since when it was at Circus Disco or The Dragonfly, in that at Medusa Lounge there is less space for the bands and/or fetish performance. But it still kicks a$$ and judging by the huge crowd they get, Medusa Lounge is a great location for Batcave. This club is a «must» if you are into the fetish/goth/industrial/underground scene.
