WOW what a great find in Eagle Rock, super boutique store for everything midori notebooks, pens, etc very hip and artsy. Lady running the place (Wakako) is very sweet and super helpful. If you are looking for a unique notebook that will get heads turning this is the place to go.
Hard to find place since the sign is very small.

First; thank you so much for having a store like this. My friends I drove up here from Hermosa Beach. It’s a nice store with everything Midori plus more. The lady running the place has examples of what you can do with your new travel passion note book. She is soooo helpful and I hope to be taking some classes to help better my skills. The trip to this lovely studio made me very happy. First off, I had been wanting a Midori traveler’s notebook for quite some time. I was thinking about buying one from Baum-Kuchen’s online store but thankfully I found out that it was located in LA. I figured I should just make the trip there to save shipping costs. Plus, it would be cool to check this place out in person.
I parked on the side of the streets and my sister and I made the mistake of walking into Baum-Kuchen’s neighboring store. That was memorable. Anyway, I went into Baum-​Kuchen and I was so memorized by all the craft goods. The studio was displaying all the items out and it was nice to browse around in there. You can tell the items there was top quality because the owner actually displayed her personal notebooks out. I got to actually hold and touch the quality of the leather items. That was a plus. The atmosphere was great, the décor and style was totally eye-​candy.
I bought my notebook with a few more items and the owner was so nice. She was so chill and easy going. I’m glad she got the chance to open a shop like this. I will definitely take more friends there again to purchase their stationary items. Overall, the trip was a success. Thank you, Baum-​kuchen!

My partner and I value natural, durable materials that are both functional and beautiful. Baum-​kuchen is a lovely shop that meets this challenge with gorgeous pieces arranged in a creative studio space.
They carry items like notebooks, bamboo plates, lovely pens, and wood children’s play toys. They are quality pieces at a reasonable price and worth holding onto for a long time. Not just «stuff.» They only opened a few weeks ago and I’ve already bought four gifts and several personal items!
The shop owner is also very sweet and friendly. If you’re lucky she will have a drink to offer you.
Parking is plentiful. Couple your visit with a walk to the park, Lemon Poppy Kitchen, or the Verdugo Bar to make it a complete afternoon!
