Customer service here is 5-star worthy! Backstory on what brought us here: The hubby got hooked on going to the Gems of Pala mine and picking up buckets of dirt to sift through. This new hobby of his has yielded some nice tourmaline pieces. But, what do we do with them? On our latest trip to Pala, the mine owner brought out some examples of DIY pendants & earrings to give us some ideas. Unilocal brought me to Beadshines. Our first visit, I really didn’t have a clear idea on how I wanted to make pendants. The very nice owner looked at the gems and made some suggestions. Mentioned«wire wrapping» several times. He also answered several questions on how and if the gems should be further processed or prepared. So I decided to go home and web surf this technique before purchasing any supplies. Before I left, I browsed around and loved looking at the wide assortment of beads this shop has. So many possibilities! This is a fun shop for crafters. Turns out that wire wrapping was the way to go! The owner was spot on with his advice. I returned to pick up a few needed supplies a few weeks later and the owner remembered me. The store was busy with weekend shoppers but he, his wife & other employees were great about giving everyone friendly greetings & their attention. I wish I had more time to browse but parking was a problem that day so I had to just get what I needed. Next to the register, I did see some little 99cent grab bags of beads. Bought 3 just for the heck of it and got all happy later at home when I opened them up. A good assortment of metallic/plastic/wood beads & spacers that could be used in my yarn-work and for friendship bracelets. Now that I’ve found out how much fun working with beads is, I’m wanting to go back already. This could be the start of a new obsession. :-D

I would have to agree with the fellow Unilocalers on their posts. Will and his family are amazingly nice. They are very caring. When I first started going to them back in 2012, they would always says checkin you get a percentage off, follow us you get a percentage off. They always strive to keep their customers. I always find what I’m in need of for my jewelry there. I also have to commend them a tremendous amount because when they started making macramé bracelets they actually showed me how it’s done and taught it to me, even after knowing that I make my own jewelry and sell them. They are always very helpful. Highly recommended shop!

I stumbled across this place today while downtown looking for fabric. My friend thought they might have other trims and was disappointed to find out they didn’t. But the guy at the front counter was more then happy to show her what he had that was somewhat close to what she was looking for. I LOVE above and beyond customer service. I ended up buying Swarovski crystals(even though I didn’t really need them) at an amazing price. I will most certainly be coming back!

So I have been searching high and low for a place that has the things that I need to make my beloved bracelets(that are very therapeutic for me to make, mind you!). I constantly visit Michael’s and Joann’s in hopes that one day they will have the things that i need… and i got tired. I heard of this place called Beadshines in the LA fashion district area, and decided that I was going to visit on a Sunday, and I am seriously glad that I did! They have it all there! I was like a little kid in a candy store– my cousin has a picture to prove it haha. They have every kind of bead imaginable… chains… clasps… charms… you name it! And the prices were reasonable! I walked out a very happy camper =). Not to mention the people that work there– VERYFRIENDLYANDHELPFUL. Overall great service and great merchandise. Beadshines is now my go-to place for all my crafting needs.

Part of me doesn’t want to review this place, because then ppl will know my special secret… I LOVE this place! We went to the fashion district last weekend because I wanted«to look around». After walking around for a couple hours, I was a little depressed since I’d only picked up a couple pairs of eyelashes and a pair of legwarmers for my daughter. Walking back to the car, I spotted Beadshines from across the street and BEGGED my better half to let me peruse. Just walking into the store front I almost couldn’t move I was so in awe. Luckily, my bf knew what I was looking for and started pointing out specific things… I found a few cross and skull charms I have been looking for. The guy that helped us out kept showing me things that I may have been interested in and was really helpful. I DEFINITELY walked out with more than I thought I was going to find… and cannot wait till my next trip! They have ALL kinds of beads… wooden, semi-precious stones, crystal, swarovski, plastic, metal… they have findings, clasps, and spacers… they have chains — I’m going back for some of those! Everyone was super friendly and so helpful. :) Who said customer service doesn’t make a difference?
