I ordered a custom 8 inch Macaroon cake(Google grand macaroon) on Wednesday and they were able to have it ready for my party on Friday! Awesome service and they have a macaroon specialist, Derek! Thank you so much! It was a hit at the party and absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to put in another order! Great price too!

This tiny bakery is walking distance from me and I like that it’s across from the Starbucks. I usually grab a pastry from here and then a drink from Starbucks. This is a very unassuming no frills café. I think it’s family owned and I always see the same friendly staff here. They don’t have bacon for their breakfast sandwiches which is super disappointing. I like their French baguettes, cheese Danish, chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, and breakfast croissants. There’s a constant flow of customers from the nearby girls’ school, retired folks, and soccer moms. One day I’ll try their macarons but it takes me forever to decide and this place is usually busy so I feel rushed to order. It’s not the most tidy place(empty napkin holder, sticky counter) but it’s a local small business so I support it. Parking is metered only and quite a pain early mornings! Definitely walk here if you’re nearby.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time because of all of the good reviews, and now I know why this café has them! The service is really wonderful– I felt welcome the second I stepped in even though they were very busy. The woman who took my order was pleasant and helpful, and I was really impressed with Andy! He was passionate about the bread and I can tell that he has a lot of pride in this bakery. The macarons are delicious and the challah bread is so soft and almost creamy-like in texture. All of the other pastries looked delicious as well. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Thanks so much for this great experience!

This is a little out-of-the-way bakery in Brentwood and it is very very tough to find parking. Overall the food was good, and the wait was not too bad. I asked the guy behind the counter what their best cookie was and he said chocolate chip so that’s what I tried. I have had better chocolate chip cookies, but it was not bad. The chips were a little too small so it had a very homogenous texture, and they definitely use a lot of butter which is normally a good thing but it kind of saturated the dough. I ordered the ham egg and cheese croissant, and it was very good. The egg was cooked perfectly the cheese was creamy and melted the ham was sliced Emily and the croissant was passable from Costco but not what I would expect from a bakery. I got that to go, and when I got in my car and back on the 405 I noticed they had neglected to put a napkin in the bag, which is why I knocked them down from four stars to three. Overall though, I would eat here again if I was in the area because the main alternative is Subway and I much prefer local culture to chains. Everyone was friendly and efficient.

Found this place through Unilocaling… which closer to where my daughter lives/school…we were so hungry and needs to eat before going back to Vegas… a small and secluded area I guess but before going in, saw peeps in and out the resto… so we figured out that they have a good breakfast… we ordered rosemary sandwich and turkey sandwich… I can’t help but that was a bomb breakfast sandwich, onolicious haha! Plus we ordered macaroons(Nutella and great tea) yum! And another order of rosemary sandwich to go… The peeps were so nice and very accommodating to the needs of their costumers… surely, we will go back and have breakfast there:))

I started coming here a while ago and absolutely loved everything they had as well as their service. However, the last time I went in, not only was I surprised to hear they were completely out of croissants(how can a bakery shop be out of the one thing they’re known for 1 hour after opening?) but that they were out of almost every baked good besides their muffins and crookies. I go up to the register to order and ask for one of their croissant sandwiches to hear they were out as I look at a stand full of croissants in the back. They ask if I would prefer Challah bread to which I say yes and am then told they don’t have anymore when there’s also a rack full of them in the back too. So I settle for a beignet as they are the only baked good left in the window that looks appetizing. There are two left and I ask for one. I pay for it and walk away only to be called out a second later that they are all out. I am given my money back and an ignorant shrug when I ask what happened to the two in the window literally 10 seconds ago. Their service altogether was disrespectful, rude, and unpleasant. Not only were they completely lacking in terms of providing me with decent service, but even halfway through my order(while I was in the middle of my order) the person taking my order just walks away and leaves me at the register mid-sentence. I am thoroughly disappointed and was not expecting this kind of service from a bakery I’ve been coming to religiously.

I ordered the ham, egg and cheese breakfast croissant and loved it! If you’re someone who needs salt and pepper, you’ll definitely need to add it, but it’s definitely a quality sandwich. I didn’t have to wait too long for a Saturday morning. There are a few tables and chairs to hang out if you would like to eat it there. I can tell this is a popular place for those in the area as staff greeted everyone who came in while I was there by first name. The meters tend to fill up, but people leave just as soon as they arrive.

I was expecting this to be a bit better and have more of a selection. Saturday afternoon the shelves were looking pretty bare, so I kept it simple with a croissant and a cookie for my son. Service was sweet, the pastries not so much. Everything was a bit dry, bland, did not wow me really. The store also a bit drab and lackluster, especially given the area. Prices are fair and I really did enjoy the service, I will have to be back to try something else and maybe earlier in the morning.

I found myself in Brentwood this morning, so naturally I stopped by Belwood Bakery Café! I had heard many good things about it so I was stoked to give it a shot. What I Ordered: 1 Egg, Cheese, & Ham sandwich(with mayo) 1 Strawberry Lemonade 1) Atmosphere: A Quaint little spot right in the heart of Brentwood. Simple space with minimal seating, but wonderful wafts of fresh-baked bread and pastries. 2) Cleanliness: A Good, no issues. 3) Service: A– Great. From the moment I walked in, I was immediately greeted and waiting on to order. I asked a few questions and got clear, helpful answers. The lemonade I ordered was put together right in front of me as soon as I ordered, and I love how they did it. Belwood Bakery Café purees their fruit ahead of time and puts them in squeeze bottles, so when I ordered my strawberry lemonade, they grabbed a cup with ice in it, squeezed a bunch of fresh strawberry purée into it, then poured the lemonade over it. I love the fact that they do this, and I love that I could see it done right in front of me. Being able to see the preparation of a product can make or break a dining experience, and in this case it made it. 4) Food: A YUUMMMM. My breakfast sandwich was absolutely delicious. A lot of people think that a breakfast sandwich is an easy thing to do — which is true — but it’s actually a hard thing to do REALLY well. Belwood Bakery Café succeeds. The sandwich was simple; just juicy ham slices, over-medium egg, melted cheese, and warm mayo all on a fresh, soft, croissant. Honestly, this sandwich is up there with some of my favorite breakfast sandwiches of all time. Yes, I said it. I moved to LA from Phoenix, and if you have ever been to La Grande Orange, you know how good their«The Commuter» egg sandwich is. Belwood Bakery Café doesn’t beat it, but boy it comes close. That’s rare for me. Also, the strawberry lemonade is incredibly refreshing and tasty. 5) Creativity: B– Not necessarily super creative, just good, fresh food done really well. Simple menu, small store-front, lots of good tasty things. I will definitely be back here!

I see why this little neighborhood spot is so beloved. This is not one of those places that people camp out with laptops all day. Rather, it’s a beautiful little nook full of dappled sunlight where you’ll find an abandoned copy of Malibu Magazine and a cozy corner to read or write or catch up with folks. There’s just enough activity to be interesting and not too quiet, but it’s not one of those places in Melrose to see and be seen. The customer service is spot on(like seriously amazing) and the baked goods are delicious. The chocolate almond croissant had a generous and luxurious amount of almond paste and almond slices, and the custard twist isn’t too sweet but is lovely. Parking can be a little tight(try the rec center down the street, or street parking 2 blocks down on Barrington if you can’t find one of the pay spots outside).

Belwood is one of my favorite neighborhood cozies in the Brentwood Village. They make a decadent latte(depending on who makes it), they display beautiful baked goods, and send warm scents and feelings into the air. Everything about Belwood offers up for an absolutely charming weekend morning! Love.

I like this place. It was friendly, cozy and has good food. The staff greeted us and hustled to work through a healthy line at the counter. There is no table service, you just walk up to the counter and order. The inside area is cozy but doesn’t feel cramped. There is a number of tables outside. The sandwiches were good and came on some delicious fresh bread. They have an impressive selection of desserts too! This is a good little neighborhood bakery. It makes a good stop for lunch or a decadent dessert.

I like this place. A LOT. We stopped here for lunch before heading to the Getty for a quick bite to eat. Ordered two half sandwiches(chicken and Ruben), ice coffees and the egg custard twist. The sandwiches were okay(not as much meat as I would have liked, but I’m probably just used to deli sandwiches in the south haha). Everything else was good too. However, what I enjoyed the most about this place was the customer service. The staff was friendly and attentive. They treated us like family, and really cared about our satisfaction. In business, there is a term called«Customer Lifetime Value» or CLV. It seemed like everyone, particularly the gentleman named Danny who helped us, understood this concept thoroughly. This is something that is really rare unless you go to high-end restaurants. Danny talked about all the different kinds of pastries they had and even gave us a sample of the crookie(croissant stuffed with Oreo filling!), the newest and most popular item. At the end, let’s just say I would travel to visit them again.

Good French Baked Goods. Simple sandwiches which are fresh and top ingredients. Simple baguette, Ham & Cheese can go wrong in so many ways. Here…butter, dijon, lettuce, ham, cheese… The way I always ask for it. Thank You

I was visiting UCLA from Nevada and wanted an easy place to eat. We drive in circles trying to find this place not realizing that it was to the side and unable to be seen from the road. We had to park around the corner and walk but it was defiantly worth it! The rosemary chicken sandwich was amazing! So much flavor! I also had the roasted tomato soup which was easily he best tomato soup I’ve ever had. We rounded out the meal with French Macrons(lemon, vanilla and caramel). Also, all great! highly recommend stopping here.

Huge SCORE! Yeah they are on the steeper side for a simple breakfast meal but shoot you really get ever penny’s worth! This place is fantastic! Grabbed some breakfast sandwiches for the group at work and they were a hit! HUGE fresh croissants and fluffy real eggs in the sandwiches. Everyone in the office loved them. It took a minute to get my order but these guys are on point with their orders and customers. It’s a great local hide away to either grab and go or have a seat and enjoy the paper. Quaint little café style seating outside and inside. Parking is metered and limited. They are also pretty busy in the mornings — I tried to call in to make a pick-up order but never got any one on the phone. Oh well, it’s cool when they have such great service when you walk in to order.

Hidden gem! Saw this place on Unilocal and my friend and I tried it today for lunch. I must admit I got lucky finding a parking spot literally right in front. It’s in a cute little plaza that’s nice to walk around in or just sit outside at a table. The parking was $ 2(meter) for 1 hour(limit). My friend found parking around the corner that was free. I’m sure it’s a zoo on weekends, but midweek during the afternoon seemed manageable. The service was friendly and quick, and the food was good. I thought the prices were really fair, especially for Brentwood. We ate outside at one of the tables and had a great time! Next time I would love to try their pastries.

Cute café in Brentwood with great sandwiches and pastries. Gets pretty busy in the mornings on the weekends. I had the salted caramel macaron($ 1.75). Amazing!!! So much more affordable than Bottega Louie macarons! And they taste the same. My chicken rosemary sandwich was especially tasty with that dijon mustard they use. I’ll be back!
