Very disappointed at our first ATTEMPT to try this place out — my birthday party was standing outside for the place to open and one of the workers walked up and immediately had an attitude«you know we don’t open until 5oclock right!?» …could have been a lil more pleasant by saying«we’ll be open soon guys» we were immediately turned off and left.

Love. Cool lodge décor makes it more cozy and casual. Chocolate old fashions are a must. Live music on Wednesdays.

Good happy prices, but it was soured by the female bartender with an attitude. I can totally believe most of the previous negative comments regarding the female bartender. I try to give female bartenders a chance since I used to be one and I understand the crap we go through snd have to put up with. But, it’s situations like these that leave me gravitating to and leaving big tips for the male bartenders.

Ok, I know this place is well loved and all that jazz. That’s the reason we came here on our favorite night of the week — Thursday. We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly bouncer. The place wasn’t too crowded at 11pm on Thursday so we scored our choice of seats at the bar with open stools on either side of us. The crowd was a mix of 30⁄40 something Sony employees and 20⁄30 something beards/hipsters — mostly dudes. So far, so cool. The bartender checked on us quickly but we were new and perusing… when he came back around my companion had the typical«so what’s good?» kinda question. That’s when our seemingly cool and laid back bartender turned into the condescending IT guy. At first we thought he was just quirky or ironic, but his schtick never ended. It made for a weird night. To his credit, he did make a good, generously served cocktail, but when we’d interact with him, it was uncomfortable. I mean we were pretty sure he hated us, but he’d keep coming over to chat, but then diss us – «What’s your name? — I’m not gonna remember it anyway…». It was funny for a while, but we ultimately decided to get dissed elsewhere. Cool bar, good drinks, hipster/cool ambiance, but its usually the creeps at the bar that mess up your night, not the bartender… sigh.

This place hasn’t changed since my previous review. Yes, I’ve been back since 2011, but I don’t frequent here as much as I should. Last night really have to admit, this was the 4th option choice, primarily because The Alley was packed, Alibi was just as crowded, so we headed over to Oldfields as we drove pass Bigfoot and saw plenty of people hang outside, than realized that was the smoking area, so we decided to make a U turn and just go for it. Everything was meant to be, parking around the corner and than as we walked in a booth empty and than 10 minutes to 9:00, it was still HAPPYHOUR! Can’t beat $ 5.00 drinks. It was packed, but who cares– we had a table all to ourselves. Than they had Peruvian food in the patio! Had a great time and the door man was attentive and very helpful for the rest of the bar by helping out with cleaning up tables. Single ladies, this is your place to be, there are plenty of men here, younger crowd, but not as young as Alibi, so you don’t feel like your at a college frat party.

LOVE this place! You feel like you’re in a cabin in the middle of Texas. We went on a Sunday where they had live country music playing and then a DJ with the top dance hits. They also feature $ 7 old fashioned drinks every Sunday as well! I’ve heard this place gets packed on Friday and Saturday nights so I would recommend going during the week or on a Sunday if you want a more calm scene. There is a small dance area in front of where the band is but for the most part it’s a lounge. They make amazing drinks! I recommend getting the«Gentleman’s Collar» from Steven. It’s an amazing shooter that tastes like it doesn’t have any alcohol in it. For last call, they only serve beer and shots. Definitely coming back!

What a cool atmosphere with solid drink specials. You can get a $ 5 cocktail(including an old fashioned) from 5 – 7 daily(including weekends). If you’d like to have a party, call ahead, they have a comfortable booth/table area. If it’s nice out you can enjoy a breeze on the patio. If you’re feeling oldschool, pull op a stool at the bar. Warning: Drinks are strong! I recommend ubering home. If you live in my apartment, don’t worry about it, just walk there, otherwise find a street spot. I think they have valet as well.

I’ve been going to this bar from years with no issues, and there was a new doorman tonight and was very disrespectful. We got there at least 30 mins before midnight and the doorman wouldn’t let us in. He kept saying it hit capacity but was letting in other people and said we wouldn’t even get a drink to begin with. He suggested the other bar up the street, which we went to, but after midnight we went back to the Bigfoot and the doorman wouldn’t let us in! Just denied 6 people access and I’m very upset and disappointed! Thanks for making my NYE suck! Don’t give this bar any business The doorman was a middle aged white man with blond hair. I would fire that man for costing your company great business

This place looked like it would be really fun. We sat right at the bar. We were acknowledged by the bartender after about ten minutes at the bar and after waiting about another ten minutes and still not having been served, decided to leave. I was very disappointed considering the place wasn’t even that busy. I wonder how they handle the crowd on a busy night.

After several visits, I can finally say with confidence that Bigfoot West is a solid little bar whether it’s for a casual drink or a party. First impressions seem a little off — parking is a pain around the area(they have valet with some limited street parking in the neighborhood nearby and the street) and the bar seems like it’s in a dark part of the edge of Culver City. Coming in though, you see what looks like a cabin-like atmosphere. Happy hour is daily from 5−9PM which is solid with a pretty good list of drinks that has at least one cocktail each per spirit and some beer/wine options for about $ 5 on average. I’ve had a few drinks here so far including my favorite, the Quilla Bees(honey/tequila/lime) which I could drink forever. The bar can be a little slow depending on how busy the place gets(on weekdays, I’ve seen 1 – 2 bartenders at most) but seating is fairly plentiful with bar seats/tables/a patio area. All-in-all, I dig Bigfoot West — it’s cozy with a fairy local vibe with good drinks and nice prices.

MILF central. Considering the area, there were far more hipsters than I expected. But it was all good. For sure, one of the best happy hours I’ve encountered. Great vibe. Dimly lit. Décor is comfortable and homey. The seating and volume is very conducive to being able to carry on a group conversation with multiple friends. In other words, it doesn’t force someone to be limited to talking to only the person directly beside them. This is very key in a bar setting. They seemed to have nailed it here. In summary: If you are looking to sip on tasty drinks, go light on spending, have conversations without having to lose your voice for the next week, and potentially find a MILF/Cougar on the prowl… then this is your place. See you there.

Good drink selection, Inga is a talented bartender. Solid addition to the landscape here. We had great fun. Comfortable interior with a different sort of motif. Crowded for a reason.

Not much to say: Got to the bar at 6:50p on a Tuesday night(verified by an Über e-mail receipt) and waited 40 minutes, unsuccessfully, for the bar tender to acknowledge me. I’m 6’1″, 285 lbs, mind you. He served my friend at the 32 minute mark and I became hopeful — then he disappeared. At 7:30p, I broke the **** out vowing never to return. Look, if you’re going the hipster route with Manhattans and Olde Fashions, having one bartender during happy hour may not cut it; those drinks take time to make. This is my first Unilocal review, btw. I was so frustrated, I needed my experience heard. I am somebody!

To keep things in the family, we left Oldfields and walked to Bigfoot. It was also packed around 8:30 on a Friday. Their Happy hour pricing reflects the ambiance and goes until 9pm with lots of $ 5 drinks. This place reminds me of Doug Fir lounge in Portland. I’d recommend this place for singles or friends night out not as sexy as Oldfields so leave your dates at home. The bartenders are all hot and super friendly. I had one drink from the happy hour list, the Gin Gimlet which was refreshing. Then my signature great dane cocktail(gin and grapefruit). After our drinks we went outside to the garbage truck food truck which was literally garbage but we were hungry so didn’t really mind.

One of my favorites on the Westside. Can be too loud when they’re turning up the music to compensate. Can get really packed. Good for dates and couples. Not great for groups more than 4. Low lighting, not much outdoor seating, homemade infusions etc. Happy Hour runs late on weeknights.

Not gonna lie, I was pretty judgmental when I saw the outside and assumed this was an old bar with country music but was pleasantly surprised at the interior which was a modern western approach. Lots of wood, warm lighting and seating, not to mention a camera that films gifs which you can send to yourself through email– great for drunkies. They have a great variety of drinks, my friend got one that was a shot of whiskey and a shot of pickle juice. It sounded so awful and I asked him if it was good and he said no. LOL but apparently the pickle juice is supposed to be a killer chaser that gets rid of all the taste. #nothanks We went with a solid group on Saturday night and weren’t there to go crazy or dance. We just hung out with each other so it was a good vibe– I can see how it would be underwhelming though if you were out on the prowl haha The DJ looked like Steve Aoki’s uncle, and was«DJing» by switching between two ipods… ahahah There was also a Mexican lady making/selling tacos right there on the patio(3 for $ 5) which is super convenient for the drunchies.

Came in on a Friday night a little past nine. I think we just missed some of their Happy Hour specials, but don’t quote me on it. Has a very rustic atmosphere– I feel like I walked into someone’s cabin in the mountains. There is an outdoor patio area in addition to the interior seating. Decent beer list, has some fun cocktails($ 11), and lots of bourbon and whiskey for anyone interested in some straight liquor. Unfortunately, they already ran out of a lot of their beer(and this is before 10pm). I don’t know if this place was super packed for Happy Hour or what. It left us compromising and ordering the beer of the week, which was a Ballast Point pumpkin beer– it was alright, but not my favorite Ballast Point beer. One good thing to note is they have an open food policy. So grab your food and bring it inside to enjoy with a cold beer. Crowd is not my favorite, but not the worst. Probably late twenties to late thirties.

Literally have past this place many times and never thought to go inside. I thought it was some random trendy bar that served mediocre drinks but boy was I wrong! First off, the location of this bar is so grand because if you do not live in the area, it is so close to the 405 freeway. It is on a main street and thankfully the side streets that are located around it allow parking. All the time. When entering the bar, the first thing you will notice is the great setup. It has a western woody theme, and it really feels like you are in Bigfoot’s lair. The asthetics couldn’t be any better. On a Friday night, this place gets pretty packed with the locals. They have a great menu of beers and house drinks that will keep you interested. Thankfully, the bar tender is good and the drinks aren;t too expensive. This is definitely a place that I would come back to and invite a lot of friends.

Although they have terrible service, there is something that still draws me to this place. I just went the other day with a friend for a quick break from studying. The drinks are okay and are slightly above average in pricing. Their cocktails are pretty impressive though. I went Monday night and it was pretty cool — they had a band play live, which I believe is something they frequently do. I can’t remember the name of the band, but they played some good tunes. The décor inside is awesome, too.
