Blue Cube is a little hole in the wall that serves a mean burger. I had low expectations coming in but left very impressed by their food. I ordered a double beef hamburger medium rare which came with fries for $ 13 total. The burger came on a brioche bun which was the perfect balance of soft and firm. The patties were thick and extremely juicy, and bursting with the flavor of pepper and other seasonings. There was also some lettuce, tomato, onion, and a nice garlicky aioli, but the meat was undoubtedly the main focus of this burger. This was an amazing burger given the simplicity of it. The fries were also very well seasoned with seasoning salt and had a zesty flavor. With the burger, it was plenty of food for the price. If you’re craving an excellently crafted traditional burger at a reasonable price, I wholeheartedly recommend Blue Cube.

I stopped by here on my lunch break from Jury duty. It is a hole in the wall kinda place but the food was good. They had good tunes playing and the staff was friendly. I did see a lot of people walk in to order takeout but I was the only one dining in. It was worth stopping by.

This place sucks balls… Wait time is ridiculous. Never coming back again. Only one person taking your order and one cook. How does this place stay in business. What a fkn joke!

I liked the previous setup BUT I love the current setup at BlueCube. The food is being prepared and cooked after ordering; that being said, be patient. The ambience has improved a lot. I love it! A music is being played inside the restaurant. And there is TV and ATM inside. I like the coffee.

Breakfast burritos are awesome– salsa on the side is a must. I’ve tried both the bacon and sausage burrito and can’t decide which one I like more. Brian runs this place and always makes me feel welcome. Great lunches too! Try the specials, especially love the cheeseburgers with side of fries. All around affordable, good comfort food.

I wandered into Blue Cube looking for a place to eat during lunch, while I was on Jury Duty. I hear horror stories about the cafeteria at the courthouse(which may or may not be true), so I wanted to go elsewhere, and also go for a walk during my lunch. Close to the downtown courthouses, getting here was an easy walk, and it was the first place I came across on Spring St. Blue Cube is a cozy place with a TV, ATM, etc. some reviews said there was a smell here. I didn’t notice it one bit. The place was clean, and I love that they have outdoor seating. I ordered the Blue Cube burger, as it shared the name of the place, and had blue cheese, and bacon, I think. My order was ready in about 10 minutes. You can also order ahead, as I understand, and take it to go. The burger was nicely done as I asked, the bun was definitely better than your average bun(I believe it was a brioche type bun). The fries were seasoned(and also fairly garlicky, which I like), lightly crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The burger was a good size, and I felt I got the perfect amount of fries with the order. There is no soda fountain, but there is tea, coffee, and a cooler with canned and bottled beverages. They also have a veggie burger(it’s not vegan, though) for the non-meat eaters. If you’re in the neighborhood, or are on jury duty, check this spot out.

Wondering around la with my brother and looking for some lunch came upon this little place was kinda not wanting to go in. They don’t have much of selections but sandwiches, burgers, salads and breakfast. I got the turkey burger and every bite I took just so much flavor and juice was coming out. The fries are so good, the seasoned was omg I love it.

Breakfast Burrito was bomb, but a small bomb. Other than being on the small size it was superb.

Was told my food would arrive in 30 – 60 minutes. Instead I was told after 45 minutes that they were closed.

Disclaimer: there is a bit of a wait for your food. Be prepared. Came here one late morning after passing by on morning dog walk. Ordered the breakfast burrito add avocado. Service was very friendly. The burrito was delicious. Very simple but delicious. Hit the spot this morning. The bacon is fried I think? Regardless it’s crispy and yummy! I recommend ordering ahead online then picking up if your in a crunch for time.

Yummy burgers i ordered the blue cube turkey burger. The ground turkey is mixed with bacon and blue cheese grilled to perfection. The burger was served on fluffy brioche-like bread with a side of fries, salad, or half and half.

I’ve lived a block away for 10 years and this is probably my 3rd visit. Usually I’m looking for a place like this on the weekends, but that’s not an option here since they’re only Monday-Friday That said, the food was pretty decent. Club sandwich very tasty with a nice amount of everything. The unfortunate thing is you really can’t rely on a place like this for a lunch break. There was 4 people that ordered ahead of me, so with my order, we’re up to 5. It took over 30 minutes to receive a club sandwich. I should have been warned when I saw that sign saying the food is cooked to order and«worth the wait» I really thought I’d be able to get a sandwich to go within 15 minutes, but had to postpone a conference call to wait for my meal. This is a neighborhood where people are on lunch breaks and don’t have a lot of time. Perhaps more help in the kitchen is needed? I don’t know, I’m not in the business, but something has to change if you want regulars.

I’ve been here three times and have been satisfied each time so far. The first couple of visits I had their southern fried bacon burrito, which is really delicious. It’s a simple breakfast burrito, but it’s not plain bacon which makes it so tasty. Today, I ordered the turkey burger with onion rings. The burger was juicy and full of flavor with the melted blue cheese and bacon inside the patty. The onion rings are the battered kind, which were nice and crispy. For the burger, I ordered and paid online first. I work down the street and a colleague suggested that I do that because she said their burgers take a while to make. When you order online, you can track your order/time. It said it would be ready in 15 minutes. However, I got there in exactly the stated time and still had to wait a little bit(5 – 8 minutes). So, I’m glad I ordered online because I didn’t have to wait as long as if I had ordered in person. As for price, not too bad but it ain’t cheap(it’s DTLA… what do you expect). Their food is freshly cooked and different(in a good way).

If you want simple coffee style shop food that is savory and reasonably priced, go here. I have been three times now, and each time was more than satisfactory and enjoyable. Do not expect a culinary explosion of fine dining here; it is simple and unadorned food and the décor matches that description too. You order at the counter and your food is brought to you. The first two times I went I had the tuna melt and it was very good. The fries were not too crunchy, not too soggy and/or greasy… just right. Today I had a special advertised on the sign outside, the Sciracha Burger. It was better than I’d expected, with the burger patty cooked to my specifications exactly(medium rare) with a slight yet tasy and unexpected crunch on the outside of the patty. Simple food cooked right.

They are open to feed the crowds at the #NYELA at Grand Park. Til 1am tonight and do yourself a favor and take advantage. Beats cold food in the long lines at the event. Great burger well seasoned and perfectly cooked fries. Thanks Brian and Happy New Year.

DELICIOUS burger at a great price! I had The Blue Cube Burger, which has blue cheese and I think some manner of sausage cooked into the center of the meat. With a bottled water, it was a little over $ 10. The owner seems really friendly, as well, and on a weekday it was not crowded at all. Because it is made to order, it takes a bit long if you’re in a crunch… but TOTALLY worth it. Big time fan.

I came here on a lunch break from jury duty. It’s a short walk from the courthouse. I ordered a tuna melt and fries. The melt was a little messy(and buttery) but it was soooo good. They also had the tv set to the World Cup so I got to watch a bit before I had to report back to finish my civil duty. I don’t live in the area but I would definitely eat here again if I’m ever in downtown.

Brian and Dawn are the shizniz. Now that I got that out of the way — here’s my review. The Blue Cube is right across the street from where I work. :) So it’s nice and convenient and I came yearning for a breakfast burrito. The cravings just come and nothing would suffice until I have that. $ 5 for a pretty large Bacon Breakfast Burrito. Should have gotten extra bacon with it. hehehe, just needed a smidgen of additional bacon. Crispy bacon, hash browns, cheese and egg — exactly what I was wanting. Everything tasted über fresh. Note to self — ask for additional salsa. It comes with one but I sauce every bite. I need the extra :) $ 5 minimum to swipe your plastic. Little hole in the wall place — I really want to come back and try their burger(Blue cube burger– nom nom nom) there’s cheese in the middle — almost like a Juicy Lucy. They’re open early for Breakfast and lunch. No dinner yet. I believe certain days they stay open. There’s metered parking around and near the Blue cube. Make sure you read the signs before parking! Unilocal check-in and get a discount for lunch!
